My mother was a clippie on the Burnside route (high and mighty) and was suspended for saying to a well-to-do lady with fox fur scarf...."one for you and a half for the dug" Great video btw
Many thanks to everyone who made this great video, l have thurly enjoyed it, as I can remember going through the fair city of Glasgow when the tramcars were running (we will never see the likes of it again) so thanks to everyone who made this great video, l say well done 👍👍.
Von Doppelstock-Trams wusste ich lange nichts, bis hier entsprechende RUclips - Videos zu sehen waren. Doppelstock - Busse gibt es noch, zum Beispiel in Berlin.
We lost our trams through Coatbridge and Airdrie in 1956, it was all lifted at the end of the 1950,s and tarmacked over, out to Baillieston. Now ,we don't even have a bus..
okay give up... it was Renfrew Ferry to Milngavie ( via Borrheid). I 'm a Barrhead boy and remember getting on this tram in Paisley Road, Barrhead ( with my granny)😀
The narrator sounds like the same person who narrated the QED film about the megaton bomb. Not to be confused with Patrick Allen, who was the voice behind the notorious Protect And Survive films...

An epic historical record and a wonderful clear and interesting narrative. I learnt much of my Glasgow not visited before. Thank you. Rmb
