Hi David, I have a query regarding your book. I bought it and read it thoroughly but I’m a bit confused as to what season I am. When you have to choose your romantic colour mine ranges from raspberry, cranberry, crimson, burgundy, port. It’s very hard to ascertain whether I’m a summer or winter as also cranberry features both in summer and winter. Also once choosing a season, I thought mine was classic summer, the celebrities are mostly blonde and blue eyed while I’m a brunette with hazelnut eyes, although I’m Italian I’m not the typical olive skinned one, I tend to go red in the sun although I eventually tan but never dark. Thanks for your tips.
Summer colours are softer overall than winter colours, which are brighter, clearer and more vibrant. I would suggest looking at google or Pinterest for summer colour palette and winter colour palette, and checking each of the colours against your skin, hair and eyes. The palette that has the greater number of complementary colours is your primary base colour (summer or winter). It can seem daunting if you don’t match the stereotype colouring for that season. Another trick to take colouring out of the picture for a moment and check for summer or winter is converting an image of yourself into black and white. More contrast between the darks and lights in greyscale (hair, eyes, skin) means you’re a winter. Very little contrast means you’re a summer. Hope this helps!!! 😇🥰💖
An even easier rule of thumb is whether you can wear pure black and pure white. These are winter colours, and too harsh for summers. The white looks too crisp, and the black too heavy. If you suit an off-white and a charcoal grey or dusty blue better, it would suggest you are a summer. 🤗💝
I love what you’re suggesting...to go into my closet and photograph 5 pieces in black and white! This is a detective adventure...

@@lilaeia thanks for your comments. In fact I continued to study colour palettes and, a year later, I can now say with confidence that I’m Autumn! 😂.
@@AB-du2wf Hahahaha!!! Glad you figured it out 🤗💖
