    It's a brilliantly written song. Not just the chorus. The verses are really well structured.
    No reason to shit on it because the verses aren't in English.

    The singers themselves confessed, that they didn't know English and wanted to do a similar song, so they imitated the sounds as best as they could and make it sound nice, as they hear the song Rapper's Delight and to their own Flamenco rhythm; someone made a comparison word for word and a Spanish language phonetic approximation, it was pretty close match, but of course off English phonetic sounds

    People need to ignore the official spelling of the chorus:
    Aserejé ja deje tejebe tude jebere sebiunouba majabi an de bugui an de buididipí.
    This is meaningless! Rather, if you just LISTEN to the chorus, you will notice that it’s ACTUALLY in English:
    I said, “A-hey, ha! A-hey! The heavy to the heavy, Ray Sevvy! You know Val Mojave, and the boogie, and the ‘brie de D.B.’”
    where:
    The “Heavy to the heavy” is a large muscular man employed as a backup to the nightclub bouncer (“the heavy”);
    Ray Sevvy (Raimundo Severiano) is the name of that backup bouncer;
    Val Mojave is Valentin, the Mojave (Native American) disc jockey at the nightclub;
    The ‘brie de D.B.’ is disco dancer Diego Bravo’s (D.B.’s) favourite French cheese, which he likes to eat with tomato ketchup (hence the name of the song).
    Sorted! 😁

    Mira lo que se avecina
    A la vuelta de la esquina
    Viene Diego rumbeando
    Con la luna en las pupilas
    Y su traje agua marina
    Parece de contrabando
    Y donde mas no cabe un alma
    Allí se mete a darse caña
    Poseido por el ritmo ragatanga
    Y el dj que lo conoce
    Toca el himno de las doce
    Para Diego la cancion mas deseada
    Y la baila, y la goza y la canta
    Aserejé, ja deje tejebe tude jebere sebiunouba
    Majabi an de bugui an de buididipí
    Aserejé, ja deje tejebe tude jebere sebiunouba
    Majabi an de bugui an de buididipí
    Aserejé, ja deje tejebe tude jebere sebiunouba
    Majabi an de bugui an de buididipí
    No es cosa de brujería
    Que lo encuentre to's los días
    Por donde voy caminando
    Diego tiene chulería
    Y ese punto de alegría
    Rastafari afrogitano
    Y donde mas no cabe un alma
    Alli se mete a darse caña
    Poseido por el ritmo ragatanga
    Y el dj que lo conoce
    Toca el himno de las doce
    Para Diego la cancion mas deseada
    Y la baila, y la goza y la canta

    Aserejé, ja deje tejebe tude jebere sebiunouba

    I am extremely surprised that a so well educated; intelligent and talented writer and singer such as Juan Luis Guerra would fall for an internet conspiracy which is simply destroyed by a little investigation into the source of the song and lyrics. Juan Luis Guerra Studied in the USA and is very familiar with freedom of speech… he is in my view the best Song writer and singer of Dominican Bachata o merengue … but Wow … didn’t see the Censorship part of his brain … perhaps he should concentrate on other Dominican Singers which lyrics are obviously and clearly of sexual exploits of women, bad words violence etc. He still is the king of Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 Music …

    DAPAT BANG TANGKILIKIN ANG MUSIKA NA KATULAD NG MAY PAMAGAT NA "ASEREJE"?
    Bible Verses:
    -EXODO 20:7, -EXODO 34:14
    BAKIT TINAWAG ANG KANIYANG PANGALAN NA ISANG MAPANIBUGHUIN?
    Ayon sa pagkakagamit sa Bibliya, ang “paninibugho” ay maaaring isang positibo o isang negatibong katangian o emosyon. (Kaw 14:30; Zac 1:14) Ang pangngalang Hebreo na QIN·AHʹ ay may iba’t ibang kahulugan gaya ng “paghingi ng bukod-tanging debosyon; hindi pagpapahintulot na magkaroon ng kaagaw; sigasig; pag-aalab; paninibugho [matuwid o makasalanan]; pagkainggit.” Ang Griegong ZEʹLOS ay may kahawig na kahulugan.-2Co 11:2; 12:20.
    ANG PANINIBUGHO NI JEHOVA. Inilalarawan ni Jehova ang kaniyang sarili bilang isang “Diyos na humihiling ng bukod-tanging debosyon.” (Exo 20:5, tlb sa Rbi8; Deu 4:24; 5:9; 6:15) Sinasabi rin niya: “SI JEHOVA, NA ANG PANGALAN AY MAPANIBUGHUIN, SIYA AY ISANG MAPANIBUGHUING DIYOS.” (Exo 34:14) ☝😇Ano ang dahilan at uri ng kaniyang paninibugho? Hindi iyon ang mainggitin at makasariling paninibugho ng mga tao. Iyon ay paninibugho, sigasig o pag-aalab para sa kaniyang
    banal na pangalan👉יהוה👈,
    anupat may kinalaman doon, siya mismo ang nagsabi: “Ako ay magpapakita ng bukod-tanging debosyon PARA SA AKING BANAL NA PANGALAN.”-Eze 39:25.
    PARA SA KANIYANG PANGALAN
    👈יהוה👉
    Kapag isinaalang-alang ng isa kung ano ang isinasagisag ng pangalan ng Diyos, magiging malinaw kung bakit siya ‘humihingi ng bukod-tanging debosyon.’ (Eze 5:13) Ang kaniyang pangalan יהוה ay kumakatawan sa lahat ng tama at matuwid. Siya ay banal, malinis, matuwid, at matapat sa sukdulang antas. (Isa 6:3; Apo 4:8; 16:5)
    Sa kaniyang paghingi ng bukod-tanging debosyon, si Jehovaיהוה ay hindi isa na malilibak. (Gal 6:7) Ang sinuman sa kaniyang mga lingkod na tumatangging mag-ukol sa kaniya ng buong-pusong debosyon, anupat hindi umiibig sa kaniya nang buong puso, pag-iisip, kaluluwa, at lakas, ay nagsisikap na maglingkod sa dalawang panginoon.
    Bilang isang halimbawa:
    Kung mahal mo ang asawa mo ay gagawin mo ang lahat para sa kanya na hindi mo siya bibigyan ng anumang pwedeng dahilan ng kanyang paninibugho... Ganyan din na marapat nating iwasan na tangkilikin ang mga bagay na may kontrobersiya o malisya may kinalaman sa banal na pangalan ng Diyos na Jehovah na hindi dapat nagagamit o nasasangkot sa mga bagay na walang kabuluhan. Ang musika na may pamagat na "Asereje" na may lyrics na nagbibigay ng malisyoso patungkol sa banal na pangalan ng Diyos 👉יַהְוֶה👈. Kaya anumang interpretasyon ng tao para lamang maipagwalangbahala ang malisyosong mensaheng ito ay ang mga taong walang delikadesa at kawalang galang sa banal na pangalan. Kaya para sa mga taong may matinding pagpapahalaga at paggalang sa banal na pangalan ng Diyos ay isaalang-alang ang mga talata sa ibaba.
    -EXODO 20:7👇
    “Huwag mong gagamitin ang pangalan ni Jehova na iyong Diyos sa walang-kabuluhang paraan, dahil tiyak na paparusahan ni Jehova ang gumagamit ng pangalan niya sa walang-kabuluhang paraan.
    -EXODO 34:14👇
    Sapagkat hindi ka dapat magpatirapa sa ibang diyos, dahil si Jehova, na ang pangalan ay ✅MAPANIBUGHUIN ✅, siya ay isang mapanibughuing Diyos;

    Ok dummy narrator, it's not because americans don't like something because it's has a latin or south american accent. That's pretty shallow and pushes a false narrative. It's more of the english accents that are annoying. Along with New York and New Jersey. Armpits of the the US.
