when i had this guy i never used him as a medic. i used him as a forward observer and artillery coordinator. he had a smoke grenade launcher to mark targets for incoming air strikes like an airforce combat controller
I always thought it was neat that of the 3 medically themed Joes, they were each given a different specialty. Doc was the proper Doctor of the group, Lifeline was the frontline EMT and Stretcher was the Medevac guy. They could easily work together as a proper 3 man medical unit.
great review. i had forgotten about this figure till it come up in suggested. I agree the flying board is a very odd accessory to give to a medic and very impractical
Maybe his hover pad is something that's deployed out the back of a helicopter when it's flying low so he can carry delicate equipment like radios for dispatch where as rescue is diving out of a helicopter like the coast guard. So maybe he is hovering over the scene either giving orders or relaying the situation back to command.
+Kevin Dougherty It is possible, Hasbro is well known for making running changes. All of the examples I've seen have them facing the wrong way, so if it was corrected - it is a rare change! Please photograph your control stick, I'd love to see it and add it to my Facebook photo album.

Nice!

Been a long time since I've seen any of your vid. Glad you're still at it.
Hmm. Is it possible that Stretcher was a shelved sculpt from Battleforce 2000? That would explain a few things.
stretcher and life line both also have the same medic symbol
Loved this figure as a kid. We never used him as a medic!
nice work a ...never had this figure
Looks like on the card art the skiff was suppose to be bigger.

that sled is ridiculous.
cool review
Why couldn't they use a Red Cross? Doc had one.
+Galaxy of Toys Doc had an orange cross, it's not red. That was another attempt by Hasbro to bypass the Red Cross copyright.

In which episode did he show on GI Joe cartoons?
+Frank White here's a site that has all his appearances: halfbattle.com/stretcher.html
I don't recall seeing him in the stores.
I got home from a friend but the original bottom half of his leg was lost to time and I replaced it with a lower leg from am old CORPS! figure
Great video as always. I checked my Stretcher figure and the grip on the stick is facing the correct way. Could there have been a running change?

Could the serial number be a nod to someone who worked on the figures?
