Income distribution is basically when the funds income is generated from any dividend or interest. Capital gains is generally when a fund sell any stock or assets, so capital gain is income from capital.
J curve concept is not frequently used in daily NAV calculations. But thank you for this suggestion, I will try to incorporate this concept in PE fund videos.
Capital activity will never has NAV impact into the fund, because when unit outstanding is reduced cash in that case is reduced as well. Hence the impact get nullified.
