For those unfamiliar with her lore, she's the Guardian of civilization. Both "Nanashi" and "Mumei" translate to "nameless" in Japanese. This more or less is a song about her search for a connection in an empty world.

The fact he didn't get fooled by the late instrumental drop around 3:45 really impressed me. This guy is so good at this. Also, mumei is one of the best originals in Hololive imo.
I was surprised he caught that too. I wonder if there's some kinda musical hint that it was coming in late that I just can't tell? Or did he just guess there was a skip? Either way, it was definitely impressive
@@MicroSpartan319 I guess it might stem from his general experience with wide variety of music and the weirdness of hololive song. He often got tricked with hololive songs so he kinda get used to it.
Gura actually has a new original song that she's only sung at the Holo EN live concert this summer. Hasn't been released officially yet. It's closer in vibes to this song than Reflect is (although still a little more upbeat).
@@syd.a.m I know but that's more "personal" song to me but still it's great original song. What I love this song more than that because this song more about Guardian of Civilazation lore than personal song if you understand what I mean.
This one is up there with the best songs for sure, i agree with @onepinksheep too, although i like "Red", "Carousel", "Black sheep", and "Six feet under" aswell, but EOAL is still my fave of Dad's songs. "Psycho" and "Play dice" by Bae goes hard too, "Rise" by council was nice, "Rebellion" by advent was also nice, and of course Myth's "Non-fiction" too. "Astrogirl" remains the only song to make me cry, and "Reflect" is still a banger to this day, "Violet" is pretty good. Kiara's newest album dropped some of my faves, mainly "Retrospective" and "The Great Wanderer". But there's something with this song.... It makes me feel... Something, i don't know what it is with this song but im so inlove with it, definitely my fave Mumei song.
Hey a Song that isnt just Dan Dan vibes from Mumei talk about surprising (when you know, You Know) but it taught me that she actually Nameless oh the edgy irony thanks subtitles of the MV.
This song went straight to the list of my favorite Holo original songs. It's an easy top 5. Fun fact: This is a rare time Jerod played a Hololive song by choice and not by "I have no clue what this is, but a bajillion people requested it"
Not only is this song an absolute banger, the meaning behind the lyrics is so deep and impactful, and I would highly recommend that you go to the original video and read the subtitles if you haven't already, cause it hits HARD

@@MicroSpartan319 I think he remembered the one during the first chorus, although he has totally guessed delayed drops before xD
You can hear the little whistle in the music right before the drop. That's why he paused before getting back into it.

maybe with 1:40 and a usual switch-up on for the last chorus, he was able to kinda anticipate it
3:44 ここの1拍ズレのドロップ予想的中したの絶対気持ちいい...
When Gura and Mumei release really good Originals, Reflect and mumei, you know things are gonna make you cry but also feel relatable.

speechless that he covered that blind, that's awesome
Legit goosebumps at 3:45, I can't believe he predicted that instrumental that precisely. AMAZING COVER.
IKR? I think dude picked up on the first delay drop at 1:40, loved it and thus anticipated it the second time. an absolute master of his craft!!
I am late but yah you are correct he said right after this video ended that it was how he figured it out
Not gonna lie but this song to me is the best original song fro holo en so far. I repeat the song a lot
Calli's _"end of a life"_ is still up there, IMHO.

Absolutely
hes first time play was soo goood
This song already gives me much goosebumps. Hearing ma main man's drum cover of it just made this song even more alive in me. 🤎🤎🤎
Damn Jerod is good at these blind playthroughs.
Also. I feel like Mooms really found her style with this song. It seems to work so well
I requested this song 🤣 glad he did such a good job
when jerod moomed on his drums i felt that
i dont think this song is for drums but he still made it.. he's awesome
Such a beautiful fitting drum cover to such a beautiful emotion-filled song
the moom sounds great on drums
Such good combination with a beautiful song by Mumei~♥
He do be 🔥MOOMIN🔥 with this
man I love emotional edm

I loved this song so much when i first heard the lyrics it became even more so when i deciphered the meaning on everything thats shown in the video
Beautiful
I juist find it insane.
This song fills me with so much nostaligia.
But I dont know from what.
Impressive. I thought he'd have a lot more trouble. There I go underestimating him again...

He's moomin !
Moomer Robinson🎉
Not wrong, with the buildup at the end. There's aspects of a few different artists I felt. Avicii, Owl City, Ryn Weaver, Snailchan...
@@RobertStoll definitely got me the "Something Just Like This" vibe

Easily one of his best blind holo covers ever.
Jerod is Moomin hard during this.
めっちゃいい歌じゃね?
the original is really good, but this version made it become beautiful melodic dubstep type beat(also give me Porter Robinson vibe).
twotwo4two at 3:34 suggesting a Hollow Knight clone with this art... I feel you.
Or even just a new skin for the knight.
ironically there's a Mumei fangame now based off of this song called 'nameless' its more of a Limbo-esque type of game, but still.
emoi mooms hits different
Knowing Mumei she would love to do a more metal/punk version of the song.
That piano sounds like Pieces 😢
