My favorite Chinese restaurant closed after the manager was verbally assaulted with a hate filled rant. As a customer with kids it was scary. I don't want them to follow me and my kids. I guess the old owner was afraid and moved away.

I don't eat outside at restaurants with outdoor seating anymore because of this. Was at a restaurant in Denver, CO a couple years ago, eating on their patio seating. There was a 4 ft. tall fence that lined the area and the sidewalk was just on the other side. A homeless lady came right up to us asking us to give her our food. She was slurring and had dried drool all over her face and kept calling me Ben Aflek for some reason. We got a refund and only chose restaurants with indoor seating for the rest of the trip. I'd feel sorry for homeless people if they didn't lack so much respect for others and cleaned up after themselves.
A shame. I've got relatives in the region and the crime has spread through even the expensive DC areas. They won't go to the city for shows or to eat out now. Like New York City its on a downward slide.

A lady threw water on me out of nowhere near Gregory's coffee in Navy Yard around 8am this Friday ..... that was fun. She was mentally ill too so I was mad for a sec but quickly gtf out of there. She was aggressively yelling and cursing out other patrons also. No kind of security in or around which I was surprised about considering the kind of business it is and area. edit: And I was doing a pickup. Happened so fast.
And to the blast of trolls saying the same ol' "ya get what'cha vote for"...I've never voted for Bowser and long wanted her and a lot of the local level DC politicians gone (esp most of the DC Council).

That's what happens when you eat in front of starving people or come around impoverished people flaunting wealth. Theirs more crime In impoverished communities in the u.s. and around the world obviously theirs a direct correlation/nexus to poverty & crime,mental health, despair,depression,self esteem,self value poverty has the same effects as war. If a thing isn't funded properly it can't run properly
Are u serious? The wealthy of DC have private clubs and protection. They aren't having lunch out on the street they are at Ruth Chris etc.
