As mentioned excellent video and new features. What is still missing is a huge update on waypoints. Like using the mavic 3 pro 3x and 7x zoom function in your waypoint mission. Also whats needed is offline waypoint preparing on your windows pc and transfer the prepared mission to the drone. And finally we need gps tracking the remote. So that tracking is possible when eg flying above trees but the drone will follow and track the remote.
Now if only we could get some upgrades to things like APAS and ActiveTrack. Id really love to see them give us better avoidance settings like distance from tree bodies and stuff. So that way if the cameras cant see the branches or leaves it can at least stay 50 feet from the tree no matter what. I think some options like this would be awesome. And if im not mistaken don't the enterprise drones let you customize this kind of stuff. I know they cant avoid but cant you set stopping distance like a safety net.
@Billy_Kyle3 who are you ? And why are you using Billy’s picture ? Don’t tell me your approaching drone pilots trying to scam them on Telegram, oh that would be too funny.
Nice Video Billy, Thanks. Do you know if in case you have all sensors desactivated, if Mavic activates RTH does sensors automatically turn on or keep off during the RTH prossess?
I love most of these new feature. One I would really like for them to add - view of the vision assist cam straight down. I've messaged DJI and Autel in the past that a downward b&w view would be helpful to determine when I'm flying over roads to see if cars are present.
Hopefully this firmware update will trickle down to the Air 3..bc it has the most similar "hardware/software" as the Mavic 3's..definitely need that "vision assist" probably the most important.. and all the AR features are nice as well.."return to home route, home point, etc..
Per all your great videos. I picked up the Mavic 3 pro and I love it!!! Question for you. What are your thoughts on registering the drone? Should I do it? Do you have all your Drones registered?
The preview from the obstacle avoidance cameras 🤩 the amount of times I have to stop a shot, Point in that direction to make sure it’s clear, and then carry on 🙈 the other day I literally almost flew into a wind turbine because I couldn’t see behind me and thought it was further away than it is.
Thank you Billy as always awesome stuff. I hope DJI also eventually does a firmware update to where you can select the 70mn 3× medium tele lens for slow motion same as the Air 3 same speed 4k@120 and 1080p@200.
@Billy_Kyle3 Really? what's up how are you? I hope DJI sent you a Mini 4 Pro to review already. O4 transmission Omni and waypoints ect.. I think the signal being unpredictable and somewhat weak with DJI RC is one of the very few limitations of the mini 3 Pro. I'm sold on it.
I’m about to pull the trigger on the M3T. Do these upgrades apply to it also (namely the vision assist)? That would also be very helpful on the M30T I use at work. 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Hey great vid, look forward to new features. How did you fly at whistler as an American? Did you do the nav Canada test, and register your drone with transport Canada? Is there an agreement between Canada and USA now?
I'm not sure anyone pointed out that the Vision Assist automatically switches cameras as you fly. I noticed that when I tested it but no one had said anything about it.
Great video as usual, but I honestly don't get the appeal on vision assist. To start, obstacle avoidance is quite good and when I fly I always have my camera on the line of sight (I do not fly beyond 500 meters) It seem to be just another thing to fiddle with, when you can just focus on what you are recording or photographing instead. But hey, that's just me. I much more welcome the D-Log on the 7x camera and added features on the 3x camera. The AR home point is also quite handy,
I love that AR return to home and aircraft shadow feature That's so extraordinary I think in coming days we don't even need to use our fingers to control next will be voice command drones 😂
Great video. Very helpful as I'm about to order the Mavic 3 Pro! Question for anyone tuning into this great site: Is it worth the extra big bucks to get the Pro Control? Or can the RC control do the job well enough to save cash. (I'm not licensed yet for hired work but I will be asap. My interest is mainly in creative photo/vid work but I'll also need to do real estate and other property work for hire.) Thanks!
I have a mavic 3 enterprize and a mavic 3t. I have installed the latest up dates and I still doo not have Vission assist on eather drone. the sensors work just fine for avoiding obesticals. do you know iw this work on the mavic 3 enterprise and the mavic 3T ??
Just curious. Regarding the vision assist which is quite cool, you say you can now look around the drone when performing orbits or similar. Shouldn’t you know what’s around your drone when flying, or in the US/ Canada is it not a requirement or law to fly using VLOS ?? My point being, a pilot should know already what is around them.
So excited for the 10 B dlog-m on the 7X telecamera! Color correcting and especially color grading the 7x camera footage was horrible. The footage would quickly fall apart because it was only 8 B footage. You can only push those colors so much before it starts falling apart on you. Now that it's 10 B & D log em, I should be able to make the footage look great! I'm so excited for this
This is embarrassing, but until two months ago, I thought the obstacle avoidance sensors were infrared or some sort of sonar system. I just started getting low light alerts from them, maybe when I switched from the M2P to the M3P. I assumed they worked at night on my first two Mavics for some reason.
Jeez, I never thought those obstacle avoidance sensors were actually functional cameras. Would have saved me in a half dozen crashes (albeit on previous models). I hate having to stop in the middle of a long travel multi-input move to reorient my drone or gimbal to check positioning. I start/end/transition a lot of moves in gimbal down and after experiencing a number of crashes with M2P and MA2, I never completely trust the obstacle sensing. Either way, I don't want an unintentional stop in flight path.
Umm. I noticed in that forest area that you were flying beyond line of site. No picking on you just saying that it seems necessary at times to get those shots. At times you just can’t get a line of site ??
Frame guide just makes me wish we could use the primary micro 4/3 sensor in a native vertical mode instead of cropping vertical out of a 16:9 slice of the sensor as we have to do now. DJI why is this not a feature?
Disappointed the Vision Assist isn't in the M3T after the update. I know this "enterprise" drone but as mentioned in the video, this would be game changing when working in and around things. Seems like any sort of "innovation" in the enterprise series is taboo.
Do you hold a Canadian advanced licence? You were flying in the flight path of whistlers aerodrome and about 100m from the air ambulance helipad that is used several times a day. You also need a permit from the municipality for commercial videos.
@Billy_Kyle3 This was in no way meant to be provocative or offensive, just concerned about the ever present danger of our right to fly being taken away because of risky activities.
see what? on 1 inch screen! Gimmicks! It is actually hard to see much on that tiny-wienie 5 inch main screen, forget that thingy in the corner. Nonsense!
Great video as usual Billy. I never get bored or feel like skipping ahead like info in other videos. Appreciate your speed, cadence and clarity.
Very nice, I really like the updates, and thanks for the info, Bill. Very good as always
Thanks for this update! thanks! Kyle.
Those are the cameras we only got a taste of during vision sensor calibration in Assist on previous birds.
Yeah I thought it was cool then
I played with that 😂
Thanks for the update.
Great breakdown Billy. These upgrades are insane.
As mentioned excellent video and new features. What is still missing is a huge update on waypoints. Like using the mavic 3 pro 3x and 7x zoom function in your waypoint mission. Also whats needed is offline waypoint preparing on your windows pc and transfer the prepared mission to the drone.

Thanks for the run down on all the new features!
very cool new features Billy great demo of them all cant wait to try them on my mavic 3
cheers Billy 👍, need to update my drone and test this out
Great new features for the Mavic 3 series. Excellent tutorial, thanks for sharing Billy.
Wow. Great upgrade DJI. 👏
Thanks Billy. Very well said in a timely fashion. Welcome to the great white north EH! 🇨🇦
I'm really enjoying the latest updates. I have a Mavic 3 Classic.
This update is sick! Glad I got my m3p!
Now if only we could get some upgrades to things like APAS and ActiveTrack. Id really love to see them give us better avoidance settings like distance from tree bodies and stuff. Yeah they need to brings these changes to the Air 3! That AR RTH is 🔥
Great update, thanks, can’t wait till I get out and try it
@Billy_Kyle3 who are you ? And why are you using Billy’s picture ? Don’t tell me your approaching drone pilots trying to scam them on Telegram, oh that would be too funny.
Hi Billy, does the vision assist affect the obstacle avoidiance when you use it?
Nice Video Billy, Thanks. Do you know if in case you have all sensors desactivated, if Mavic activates RTH does sensors automatically turn on or keep off during the RTH prossess?

Thank you🤝
Can't wait for these features to hit the Air 3
just updated, gotta try it out soon to see how useful this feature is!
Does this sensor update work on the inspire 3 as well?

Nice job

I just update minesss so HAPPY
This update was awesome!
@Billy_Kyle3
You can send me the matrice t30
Could you make higher resolution 360 pano by merging a 1x and 3x images?
Hey great vid, look forward to new features. How did you fly at whistler as an American? Did you do the nav Canada test, and register your drone with transport Canada? Is there an agreement between Canada and USA now?
I'm not sure anyone pointed out that the Vision Assist automatically switches cameras as you fly. I noticed that when I tested it but no one had said anything about it.
Does these updates to the 7x camera include the 7x camera on the original Mavic 3?
Australia seems to get the updates later. I see all the updates on the videos from overseas then receive them about a month or two later.
THE AIR 3 REALLY NEEDS THIS, DJI PLEASE. I was thinking that a feature like this would be nice and behold the mavic 3 got it.
Excellent
Thanks 🙌
D-LOG is why I hadn’t purchased this, yet. Thank god for it.
Great video as usual, but I honestly don't get the appeal on vision assist. Does the Mavic 3 Pro have stacked sensors?
I love that AR return to home and aircraft shadow feature
That's so extraordinary
I think in coming days we don't even need to use our fingers to control
next will be voice command drones 😂
Vision assist is something I was always thinking about.
Does this update apply to the mini 3 pro?
Is this update for Mavic 3 Classic as well?
Hope some of these features come to Mini 3 Pro as well

In USA you can fly drone freely, over people, houses?
I have a mavic 3 enterprize and a mavic 3t. I have installed the latest up dates and I still doo not have Vission assist on eather drone. the sensors work just fine for avoiding obesticals. do you know iw this work on the mavic 3 enterprise and the mavic 3T ??
Nice video again! 3x Pano does 106 photos.
sir good day can i ask a question how to connect to alternative screen like pc or laptops?
Does the Air 3 have these AR features?
Hey you're up my way. I'm in Toronto. 🇨🇦
Hi. Im new on the drone scene. Where is the best place to buy drones. Ive been trying to get one and every supplier seems to be sold out
Hope that those features will be in mini 4 pro as well
Just curious. Regarding the vision assist which is quite cool, you say you can now look around the drone when performing orbits or similar. Yea, I see this as one of the most important updates.
Can work in mavic 3 classic?
How you enable video assist?
Does the Air2 get any of these new features on this update?
Thanks for what you do! I’m excited to watch this
Welcome to my neck of the woods!
DroneBiz Aerial Imaging is based in Metro Vancouver, enjoy our Province.
I had wished that they had low quality video in every direction. I didn't realize the OA sensors were image sensors....
Do You think air 3 will get this stuff?
Seems like a pretty big jump from the phantom 4 series.
Can't wait for night mode on 7x
Is my mavic 2 a brick now ? The dji software doesn't work with android 12 and up.
Welcome to Canada, Billy - this update is a blinder...
This is embarrassing, but until two months ago, I thought the obstacle avoidance sensors were infrared or some sort of sonar system. I just started getting low light alerts from them, maybe when I switched from the M2P to the M3P. I assumed they worked at night on my first two Mavics for some reason.
Hi Billy! Sorry to say it doesn't apply to the Mavic 3E as of now.😢
Jeez, I never thought those obstacle avoidance sensors were actually functional cameras. You really need to answer the questions in the comments. They are helpful to people.
An I was seriously thinking about making a air 3 my primary drone ! Nope still gonna be my secondary bird !
Shouldn’t you always be able to see beside your drone without the cameras since you’re always supposed to have your drone in a direct line of sight?
Umm. I noticed in that forest area that you were flying beyond line of site. No picking on you just saying that it seems necessary at times to get those shots. At times you just can’t get a line of site ??
That's a game changer update
Does the mini 3 pro get these updates
No, just the mavic 3 series
Do these updates apply to mavic 2 pro?
Mavic 3 Pro, not Mavic 2 Pro.
Who actaully uses RTH? I'd much father fly it back myself.
for real tho
Frame guide just makes me wish we could use the primary micro 4/3 sensor in a native vertical mode instead of cropping vertical out of a 16:9 slice of the sensor as we have to do now. DJI why is this not a feature?
VLOS? ;)
Finally. Someone tells what drones it works on. lol 😂. Billy don’t smoke that shit they have up there if ya dont smoke dont start.
Disappointed the Vision Assist isn't in the M3T after the update. I know this "enterprise" drone but as mentioned in the video, this would be game changing when working in and around things. Seems like any sort of "innovation" in the enterprise series is taboo.
Different teams working on these drones.
Please have a show about the DJI MAVIC ENTERPRISE VERSIONS. WHAT CAN IT DO?
Do you hold a Canadian advanced licence? You were flying in the flight path of whistlers aerodrome and about 100m from the air ambulance helipad that is used several times a day. You also need a permit from the municipality for commercial videos.
@Billy_Kyle3 This was in no way meant to be provocative or offensive, just concerned about the ever present danger of our right to fly being taken away because of risky activities.
It's about time you got this out! Hahaha!
Prior to the update Return To Home could be off by up to 20 yards. Now it'll land on a dime. Every time.
It's really sharp
Sadly, today it's consistently off by about 5 to 15ft@@billykyle
But 2 weeks ago you were blowing a wad on the air 3. Seems you draw a big Chinese pay check.
Mavic 3 still needs an SDK. They did it for the Air2s, they can do it for the Mavic 3 series, especially for the price range.
First
its not for mavic 3 air, so your title is misleading.
DJI Air 3 is not a Mavic
see what? on 1 inch screen! Gimmicks! It is actually hard to see much on that tiny-wienie 5 inch main screen, forget that thingy in the corner. Nonsense!
You have no idea what you’re talking about
Why do you yanks insist on saying 3"X", rather that the correct 3 "times" when referring to magnification?
