Stumbled on this channel and it’s terrific. Really like the stories and the insight into the life of an NHL player. I do have a question though. Who pays for the players gear? As you climb the ladder in hockey, juniors, OHL, AHL up to the NHL. Do the players pay for their skates and sticks? Does the team pay for everything? Do they get a huge discount? Curious.
Ill have another video coming on this but if you haven't I did a video on sponsorship you should watch! doesn't really answer ur question about who pays which is the team, but I think you would like it as to the ins and outs on sponsored deals
In NHL 99% of guys listen to team music. Certain teams don’t allow u with headphones some do. Sometimes music rotates guys depends on winning and losing. Most guys don’t wanna do it cause everyone always complains about the music being shit 😂😂
Of course, I knew about the logo rule and I also know that some newer locker rooms are putting the logo on the roof instead just to keep anyone from accidentally (or I guess, purposefully) stepping on it.
So would a guy like Connor Bedard be in the front of the bus/plane waiting for the veterans to exit first or do the rules change for generational players?
Conor would want to be the same as the other rooks...if ya ever listened to wayne Gretzky, the best thing in the locker room is to just be one of the guys.. not the guy
In the old days of the O6, they travelled by train. The berths for overnight trips were assigned by sweater number. So the goalies, who generally played in every game and needed their sleep, got the prime lower berth. It went from there, up the number list and the rookies always got the top berths.
Hey thanks for the video I have a question so if you’re on a team with the fighter do people ever go over to the fighter and say hey can you sort that guy out for me or is he just expected to pick it up on his own or would it just be disrespectful if you have to ask him what’s the story on that? And how about also like what gets talked about in locker rooms like Married guys with girlfriends… people gambling …habits whatever I heard there was a long time ago a deal with media that anything discussed in locker rooms that’s not on the record is not supposed to be quoted like Ia guy talking about going to see the girlfriend that night or whatever unless it was an on the record “they couldn’t talk about it
