Honestly, I for the first time in life visited Jaipur, Rajasthan in January, and the moment I reached first red light, I accidentally overstepped it because the red light was not visible as a Bus deboarding few of its passengers was standing in front of me. But the few policeman along with a lady policemen stopped and threatened me that they will suspend my licence and indirectly forced me to pay them money. After I paid the money, they suddenly became friendly and show me the way.
In my last trip to Rajasthan, i rented self drive zoom car. Once i entered Jaipur city, policeman stopped me saying that co- passenger isnt using seatbelt.. they fined me for १००० rs. I showed them multiple biker driving without hemlets n multiple car driver without seatbelts but she didn't listen.. why such different rules just for travelleres...😢
India will take another 100 years to improve in certain areas. Police in India think that they are the authorities. They forget that they are public servants.
