Keep polishing. It pretty much all pays the same. My latest “can’t fix stupid” moment was yesterday. A new hire restaurant manager decided to “save money” by de icing a walk-in freezer, Larkin evaporator coil, LCE120 with a screwdriver. Two holes in the drain pan and three through the coil. Clipped two loops in the center. Installing the replacement evaporator assembly tomorrow. His employment ended this morning. Nice videos.
Polishing a turd, seems that all we do nowadays, unless you can get a brand new turd. You do what you can do Rick, you're one of the best at doing it. Thanks for the video.
Those idler pulleys are my biggest pet peeve with Trane. For the life of me, I don’t understand why they don’t give you all the hardware when you buy the pulley as a kit and change accordingly. Great video as always, thanks for sharing.
Nice tile work to protect the drain. I guess sometimes you just have do what you can and move on. If the customer doesn't want it nice, what can you do? Thanks for sharing even these types of jobs.
Rick you crack me the f*** up. I picture you sitting with your head in your hands, just saying too yourself. " I can't, I just can't deal with this S*** now, I knew I should have called in sick this morning" welcome to the S***show channel, I'm your host captain sunshine.. You are the best, because you literally make me feel the pain I feel when I am on units like that
Dude you actually get it🤜🤛👍👍. Thanks for accepting me for the negative, sarcastic person I am. I call it a realistic personality.... Others tend to call it a bag attitude.
I had two of those units at a mall. Used a diesel air compressor to clean the coils. There pieces of Santa s beard coming out of the coils it was nasty
3:30, top nut tightens the sheathe bearing(PULLEY) to device, the nut below that is used as a locknut and is also a locking nut! I'm thinking that's for sure "NOT" factory and field modified. lol it backed off once from not being tight enough and they went ok FUUUUUUU. locking nut as the locking nut . 🤪
Those look like carrier fan blades. This unit looks rough. My shop does allot of trane service so i touch these voyagers daily. Good units but do require allot of love to work right
A great informative video! I wish I had this video a year ago! Thank you for the content, I’ll keep it in mind and forward it to a fellow tech in need 🙌🏼💯
Your quite the ole Turd Polisher you are 😂😅🤣 Good vid ... I like your vast knowledge of all the equipment you work on ... Thx and hey to Miss Chronic ...
great job for what you work with! they don't seem to give you the best jobs. that tells me how good of a technician you are (the best technicians always get the worst jobs)
I have my own track mat , just the cheapest least comfortable piece of sh*te yoga mat I could find ( from bloody Lidl ) but hey, better than nothing innit !👍

🤣🤣🤣🙌🙌 I love hearing they took action to correct the stupid. (temporality)
@@HVACRSurvival Under normal circumstances they would have promoted him to regional manager and given him a raise.
surprised they fired him, considering companys csnt find anyone

You're kind, but thanks for the support 🤜🤛👍👍

Me neither👍👍. $$$ -/+ a buck
That’s an issue for sure are those stupid pulleys but what I hate more than that are Trane s stupid economizers and parts that go in them

Absolutely 👍
I’m not getting your notifications,I’m glad to see your videos
Select what type of notification you want. Just choosing notification only doesn't get you all off them.

Idler will not come with that adjustment screw, just FYI
A fender washer between the idler and the frame would have lowered that pulley so it would have been in alignment.

Once you break that adjustment screw good luck. Nice job Rick

Good job Rick
Thanks Greg!
i do service in evansville indiana henderson ky area and i love your vids cuz i see the exact same wtf moment stuff all the time lol!!!
Awesome! That's because we're close to the same area, I'm up in the northwest corner of Ohio.
Nice video Rick, definitely some good info on those Trane blower pulleys!
🤜🤛👍👍
Great job Rick
Thanks for the support👍👍
Great Video. Thank you for sharing. May I ask, what's type of motor use on hvac ? and what's type of Belt use on HVAC ?
We use all kinds of different motors, three phase, single phase, belt driven, direct drive. Belts can vary from a 4L to a BX or larger.
@@HVACRSurvival I have job interview , they asking about commercial hvac motor and belt. Thank you for your help
It's a broad question. With more context It would be more specific

Thanks Eddy, I will do
Idler pulley= $15
Idler pulley nuts, bolts, gear piece= $250
Browning belts stretch too much. Gates or Continental are my favorites.
I feel for the wanting something NOT filthy upon which to lie. Did you grease the blower bearings? (the actual squirrel cage)
They weren't serviceable bearings.
great job for what you work with! they don't seem to give you the best jobs. that tells me how good of a technician you are (the best technicians always get the worst jobs)
🤣😩👍👍
the "TRANE" has wrecked =p
Great video 👍 buddy
I appreciate the support Jeff 👍👍
It's called an acorn nut. You rebuild the drain line so it has a trap? Seemed like a waste of time and material for that unit. ☀👍👍💩
You haven't seen how the rest of the place is. 🤣
Awesome vid
Thanks bud👍👍🤜🤛
Bet a billion the heat exchanger looks like swiss cheese.
Turd-o-rific! Trane not making it easy.
🤣🤣🤜🤛👍👍

Damn strait🙌👍👍

161 thumbs up
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 can’t fix stuipd
