From the 90s onwards, Mitsubishi tend to put quite some thought into creating subtle features that enhances passenger experience - especially at the lobby (call chimes, lanterns).
I swear to god, I have never seen or heard a Mitsubishi elevator break down, not to mention the chimes are great and the design dosent dissapoint either
When I was in Hong Kong, the Hotel I stayed at had some 90's Mitsubishi lifts in it with an interesting feature. When you pressed the button, it would immediately chime once to tell you which lift was coming (and a lantern would light up). When the lift arrived, it would chime twice and the lantern would flash.
Note that the chime around 8:25 and 8:43 plays an ascending or descending tone based on current running direction. But, a design flaw makes it play an ascending tone coming up to you before the arrow switches down. (The flashing arrow outside changes immediately, but the in car arrow only changes after flashing digits, and the car controls the chime) Compare to the familiar chime at 9:28 Hall call cancelling also works and the elevator will make the nearest stop without door opening.
in malaysia mitsubishi, schindler, hitachi and toshiba are quite popular there you can a lot of those fixtures even schindler M-line is very popular here
Oh thanks! I’ve been looking for this song for ages (honestly the catchiest of all 4 of them), and I initially thought it came from the RUclips Audio Library lol!
Once I rode a HDB Mitsubishi lift(Singapore) with a call-cancelled feature The lift was going to level one So deselect 1 It work and the lift just stopped at a random floor(the floor it can stop to)
There's another hidden fact for some mitsubishi- when the lift is not in use for long periods of time the indicator dims slightly. When it gets used again then the indicator brightens back to normal.
I also found an interesting example where they only upgraded the operator panel and not the brains of the elevator, so you have the large matrix display in the car but doesn't flash the arrival floor or direction arrow on the outside.
There is 1 fact about Mitsubishi elevators that is the voice saying sorry to keep you waiting that happened to a Mitsubishi elevator I was staying at it was holiday Inn ln Saudi Arabia
Btw, speaking about Mitsubishi, do you know that the elevators at Hilton Nusa dua (formerly Grand Nikko) have been replaced into Mitsubishi NEXIEZ-MRs? I was curious on what elevators that building used to have.
Knew that already. Someone said that they were originally 1990s Mitsubishi (probably GPS) but then modernized by LINE in the 2000s or 2010s. Glad to see they've been replaced with something better.
@@idl3k_elev : I have no idea why they decide to mod them into LINE at the first place tbh. I can't imagine how the mod looks like back then, must've been "unsatisfactory" considering how high-class the hotel is. Glad that they replaced them back to a proper set of elevators.
My condo have keyhole at the bottom floor and the freight elevator have keyhole on the floor that not on the bottom or top floor is that MRL or an MMR?
Unless there is a photo of your condo elevator, I can't tell if it's MRL or not. Basically if a keyhole is on the top floor call button panel then it's definitely MRL.
I've also seen an elevator which the outside screen is similar to that in 0:35 , but the font of the number is different -- the number is bolded than the one in 0:35 . How can that be happen?
It seems that it's caused by the fact that (most) Mitsubishis refuse to let you cancel a car call it's already trying to fulfil, even if there are more than one. For example, if the lift were heading to level 12, then I wouldn't be able to cancel it, even if B2 is selected.
From the 90s onwards, Mitsubishi tend to put quite some thought into creating subtle features that enhances passenger experience - especially at the lobby (call chimes, lanterns).
Yeah. IMO one of the few companies where the newer models triumph the older ones.
MITSUBISHI ARE AWESOME!! No wander they always makes best quality elevators!
Ikr? Mitsubishi never stops making nice and high quality elevators!
Jonny Doman and I thought they just made cars! XD
SgLiftfilmer3710 I found a Mitsubishi aircon in a Mitsubishi elevator
Jonny Doman i agree
I swear to god, I have never seen or heard a Mitsubishi elevator break down, not to mention the chimes are great and the design dosent dissapoint either
Interesting! Seeing elevators from other countries is always fun! I love the editing too!
Nice!
Door closing without chime,Voiceover is really common in my country!

That feature is called "Call/Car Prediction". Other manufacturers also offers this feature as an option.
Oh yeah I was at Saudia Arabia the hotel I stayed at had a Mitsubishi elevator and it does that too Alex

Add also: Chimes are Low-Pitched in other lift installations (Especially in High Rise Buildings/High Speed Elevators)
Luigi Octaviano iv been on mitsubishi elevators alot and also noticed this
If a Mitsubishi Elevator was to cancel a single floor call while traveling, it would drop you off a couple of floors up/down
Fact 3 Music : Sonic 3 - Ending Music (Remix).
Oh thanks! I’ve been looking for this song for ages (honestly the catchiest of all 4 of them), and I initially thought it came from the RUclips Audio Library lol!
mitsubichi elevators are my fav
BTW what remix is that sonic 3 credits song
Once I rode a HDB Mitsubishi lift(Singapore) with a call-cancelled feature
The lift was going to level one
So deselect 1
It work and the lift just stopped at a random floor(the floor it can stop to)
Yeah, I have seen that too on someone's video of a Mitsubishi GPS-III elevator.
IDLift3000 ohhh
I wonder what is the voice announcement on the SG HDB MITSUBISHI Lifts
What do you mean?
CraftHunterGaming - buses, trains yah
Nice fun facts that feels generally unusual.
True for US Mitsubishi elevators too
When will they Install Mitsubishi Elevators in New York? I want to ride one sooo Bad
There are already some there
LiftyGamez WHERE?????
There's another hidden fact for some mitsubishi- when the lift is not in use for long periods of time the indicator dims slightly. When it gets used again then the indicator brightens back to normal.
Some OTIS Gen2s with LCD indicators (let's say like the ones I was filmed in Jembatan Suroboyo) also does that
What does floor LM mean if it’s a floor between floors LG and GF/G?
Lower Mezzanine presumably.
4:36 no wonder my church's lift didn't have call cancel when I tried it.
I also found an interesting example where they only upgraded the operator panel and not the brains of the elevator, so you have the large matrix display in the car but doesn't flash the arrival floor or direction arrow on the outside.

7:33 I wish that lift was original
Old car with new computer, notice the disabled center display
I've also seen an elevator which the outside screen is similar to that in 0:35 , but the font of the number is different -- the number is bolded than the one in 0:35 . How can that be happen?
Just another Mitsubishi font, I believe. I reckon you have the choice to choose between the regular font and the thicker font, even in the modern day.
I would say, sepertinya AAN-B.
Satu lagi mengenai keyhole di HOP lantai teratas itu MRL. Kalau yang MRL B-D berarti HOP yang ada keyholenya itu di lantai terbawah kah?
Comparing AAN-B vs AAN-G, I prefer the AAN-G voice better.
You can see a lot of elevators in Taiwan with no noises! So quiet
I guess cancelling a single car call is possible only when the lift has no car calls and when the lift is not in motion
It seems that it's caused by the fact that (most) Mitsubishis refuse to let you cancel a car call it's already trying to fulfil, even if there are more than one. For example, if the lift were heading to level 12, then I wouldn't be able to cancel it, even if B2 is selected.
"Sorry to keep you waiting" is an interesting voice. But why does it say that?
It's to inform people that the stopping time is slightly longer than expected, especially when the elevator is very busy.
@@idl3k_elev ah, I see. Quite confused since the lift didn't take long in your case.
WHERE IS THE VIDEO AT 1:52 ???
The Glass Elevator Is Easiest Way To See On Fact#3.
Can I please have a link to the elevator ar 2:07
Reversed chime? That's odd.
Those reversed chimes are commonly heard in modernized older Mitsubishi elevators in low to mid-rise buildings.
IDLift3000 Thanks so much! :D ;D
Only Mitsubishi elevators have a door close chime
7:36 日本語では「お待たせしました」
400th like
Can I find this in indo?
yes
