- While traveling through Athens, Georgia I met this guy name Huck who really blew me away with some incredible stories. I was blown away by his life. He left home at 18 and started traveling around America without shoes and having incredible experiences and adventures. I hung out with him and his friends for 3 days and talked about his life, where he was looking to go in the future, and his stories. Here is a short interview with him.

He is one of the cooler kids that have been interviewed. Most of them seem hard and probably dangerous. This guy just wants to chill. Im cool with that

@@claycarpenter8625 no longer as optimistic and i don't trust pple. I had all my stuff stolen so now i have no identification. For a traveling kid, getting these documents again is really hard. I chose to be house free and travel. I suffer from depression suicidal thoughts feelings of being unwanted and unloved ( started way before i became home fre. I chose this life for 2 reasons could be more. When i am feeling good i get an apartment a job start getting on my feet and then ill do smthg stupid or shit will just happen and i lose it all, another lease broken and any money that my family gave to help me lost. Its easier to live on the street and stay moving. No one knows u for long new places/faces. I never could stay at a job longer than 3 months. Would always get monotonous
@@beckjaq2859 I can relate and understand slot of that. Where I was I got a case worker and by 10:30 in the morning same day I had a new license that they paid for. I put myself through that 5 times in 6 years. I finally got tired of it and hopefully not looking back but know I can do it again if I have too but don't want to.

Well, let's put our thinking caps on and pop a squat right where you are, because it's story time! Get ready for a doozy.... So, your tax dollars that you say is supporting a group of people who are inefficient leaches, a drain on society and lazy, is technically correct.... But it's not the homeless.... It's the politicians in Washington, and they are using your income tax STRICTLY towards paying back the interest on federal reserve loans, and will be until the end of time. Lol, your taxes don't go towards paving the roads or some woman with 5 kids collecting food stamps. You are paying for the interest on loans that come from an entity that shouldn't even legally, or constitutionally for that matter, exist! You should look at a pie chart that shows a breakdown of where all taxes in general end up. You'll notice that a slice the size that is bigger than all other categories combined (a few times over too) goes to military defense. You want to talk about wasteful spending? I have never seen such an incompetent and reckless misuse of tax dollars in my entire life. Projects like the F-35 fighter jet, that will never see active military use, yet we still spend money on them. Billions and billions of dollars wasted every year on that one single project alone and there are tons more like them! But you want to cry about the chump change we throw at the homeless (who by the way, are not just ALL lazy or abusing the system. The amount that we lose on people willfully leaching off of govt programs or committing fraud, is comical and pales in comparison to other actual frauds committed by the govt themselves!). This is exactly what you've been programmed to "care" about. They keep you focused on the little fish and get you fighting over tiny little niblits, while the big fish swoop on in and take the whole goddamned carcass.

I was homeless for a few years and I've known quite a few people like the ones in this video. I think you misunderstood my comment. You are definitely preaching to the wrong guy my dude. Oh wait. I've been there. My time as someone who was homeless (not by choice mind you) Will always be apart of me. I was able to see who really had a heart. The fact I am a veteran shouldn't have been the reason people stopped and helped a fellow American in need.

Георгий Антонов Its not hard to beg on the street for money and eat with that. You can travel across america without spending a penny by hitch hiking or jumping trains. Its a crazy world out there! Not that I've done that before. What i think is crazy is that he has been traveling WITHOUT SHOES!!I've actually done a roadtrip where I left for 1 month and came back with a few thousand dollars profit by playing piano on the streets and doing gigs everywhere. I call it the $2 roadtrip.

Gosh, such an intellectual. You can tell by his weathered gravelly voice, he's seen and been through so much. I can only imagine what it would be like to experience the exciting wonders that he's witnessed.
