As a Canadian it’s very interesting to see a Dutch mtb course. To us that was a CX course, it being in a park like setting and so smooth and full of ribbons. So different. Our course are in forests on single track. Our typical hazards are hitting trees and rocks etc. But it’s all the same fun. Loved the video. 👍👍👍
This is not the usual single trail Mtb track. It’s a club course designed for practice. Watch my other Mtb videos (racing Bartje200 e.g. and you’ll see single track trough the Forrest) 🤙🏻
Loved that, great techinal course, you certainly have the fitness and recovery for all those sharp corners and accelerations. Loving all the race footage
Hey Jasper! nice video man really enjoyed watching it...the cam is pretty darn good ..i think the sound in the wind wasn't that bad actually (unless you edited it)(also : it didnt fail) nice bike too ..cool thing of the sponsor looking forward to the next! Cyaaaa
Never done mountain biking before let alone mountain bike racing but you make this look super fun!! Also, those laps seemed EXHAUSTING!! Impressive work and way to overtake the dude at the very end! All the best in 2023!
Hi Jasper, love the video! Did my CX intervals on a similar track today. I left a comment to your performing question today and explained my interests. Following that I know you wont be happy about this but I like this video way more than the haute route videos :)
I’ve used like 10 songs or more in the haute Route videos so not sure what songs you mean. But anyway, I feel like they really fit my videos and the feel and emotions. I really like them. It’s sometimes quite hard to find the right songs so it takes a lot of time..🤯
I love to see how well things go for you. new material, new clothes, new bike. My best wishes for this season. I will follow your steps. You motivate me, I want to do things well. See you soon.
Great vid as always! And thanks for showing the siroko kits. I’ve been thinking about buying some and looks good. Please keep continuing to show their kits.
Thank you jasper.... You give me amazing views and footage, me as an old non ambitious rider who never do racing, I appreciate that a lot... Make me feel I, m in the race... Great guy
Nice video, Jasper! Could you make any series with gym routine? There was great one 2 years ago, and I am looking forward to see more. Thanks in advance ;)
The crazy dance and the churros bonk in Girona are some of the best moments on your RUclips channel 😂😂 . That race seemed like a cyclocross race. I think you could perform really well in that kind of races too.
Blitz dansje maat! Awesome vid as per usual. Big day too! I'm making more km's outside at the moment, due to your inspiration. Keep it up and maybe I can get to 5000+km this year (last year I was just under).
I've got a 4iiii left only power meter on mine, no regrets it's awesome. It's pretty affordable and it even survived the Drenthe 200 mudfest no problem. (I was a little worried) Awesome video as always!
Hey Jasper, my advice is to change the stem and the starnut setup. What comes OEM on this bike is quite finicky to adjust when you need to tighten the headset. And if you plan on doing the maintenance yourself you might need to order a 12mm hex key (am not a subscriber yet so don't know if you do it yourself or if you bring it to a shop)
Yeah usually I do maintenance myself. I have a hex key. I’ll see how it works with the headset. I haven’t checked it that precise. I do know there is a multi tool in the steerer tube which is pretty non standard haha
what have you and the guy from 20 years got in common, ... both having fun on the bike - staying healthy and fit, that's the essence of cycling jv. camera wise I think the gopro has a bit more detail. I know its a bit of work but a rear camera in this instance would have been interesting as a tight course. great ride.
Jasper, I wanna send you some Email pictures of my new Fast Ripper,...you gotta buy one and make a video review, it's a really great bike to to ride, mate!!!🤙🤙🤙😉😉😉
Nice ride, this is the VWC (|veluwse wintercompetitie) its a low level game wich is for everyone. Not high drops, or jumps. The last game is in Apeldoorn. Its more difficult, its the final/
I probably don’t have the right jargon knowledge here. In my idea tight turns, drops, short climbs and descends would be technical but I’ve understood from other comments that in mountain biking, “technical” means rocks and tree roots 🤪
@@davemoss6976 I hope your joking or that’s a very very strange way of looking at it. if serious injury is likely, you are either fucking stupid or taking way to much risk. Riding within your skill set will make it unlikely to get injured.
@@jasperverkuijl joking😸. But I was stupid enough to break my neck a few years ago, lucky to get away with it, but now accept my limitations and stay clear of rocks and steep drops.
Great video, Jasper, liking the new cycling environment, and a brilliant result too. Footage looks great, love the clarity. Be interesting to see how this compares to GoPro footage. Have to say, in my experience, GoPro, a bit like Garmin with their bike computers, have become far too complacent in their respective market. GoPro are not really improving the quality, the functionality of their product as quickly as they should be, imo, especially given the size of the company they are and the influence they hold. Two big negatives with GoPro that still really bug me, the plastic slide-in mount adapters, that fix the camera to the handlebar mount, still inevitably keep fracturing after a while. It's not a great situation at all, and worst-case scenario, the adapter fails mid-ride, and your GoPro gets launched, at speed, into the surroundings- hitting the road, bushes, cars, over a cliff! If your GoPro survives the adapter failure, It’s then incredibly difficult to get hold of a replacement, official Garmin adapter, to fix the camera back on the bike. And GoPro’s continual failure to introduce extra fixing points onto the side of their cameras so the wearer / user can turn and mount the camera landscape for social media like Instagram. So it’s great to see other companies like DJI, releasing action cameras, giving us more choice, and actually companies that are attempting to address issues that GoPro seems to ignore. The quick release on the DJI is a smart idea too.
Yeah man, competition always needs to work harder to get to the top right! I’ve lost a GoPro in the past during a race and never found it back because the mount broke off….🤨
