Hi Roland, i was diagnosed with Afib last June. i had an Ablation procedure done in October and my heart is back in rhythm. i'm going for another procedure in 10 days, it's called a Watchman device. basically it keeps blood from pooling in the heart. that will get me off Eliquist (blood thinner) and Flecanide (arrhythmia med). my doc said the same thing about alcohol. evidently alcohol is one thing that can trigger Afib.
Glad to hear you are feeling better! I was surprised to hear you say '...so now I’m exercising, ...' as I could have sworn you use to do calisthenics and that is why you could climb in & out of the canoe you modified a couple of years ago.
I’ve had afib for about 20 years now..I’m only 46 years old..I also take blood pressure meds!!My legs swole up too..glad to see your doing good Mr Martin!!
