    Very Nice!...I recall last spring dropping a similar experimental red butt purple/blue rib chironomid in 43 ft water & rewarded with instant success, so after destroying the few patterns I had & a great day , I was sure to tie up a few at Base Camp . Of course fish turned right off the following day with some unstable weather, but "Thats Fishin" I now add a coat of Sally Hansons over my Blue Light Cure.

    Great looking pattern Phil.
    I have become accustomed to blending thread bodies, but I've never thought to use the wrap to blend. Great idea!

    Phil you said deep. How deep are you talking?

      Hi Jill, great question.
      For me, deep is pretty well anything over 15 feet. I often use this pattern, and others like it in water over 20 feet.
