@@samuelsmith2112 it will be really good, PMDG products are. If the 777 for the MSFS has the same features as the 737 they’re going to full short on the Flight Factor 777. The FF has so much modelled, 1000’s of failures, most of which seem to be linked to the NNC in the EICAS, the additional features such as walk around, the engineering features in the FMC, the ground and cabin crew interaction and I’m just scratching the surface. We’ll have to wait and see what PMDG has produced, looking forward to trying it out!
One thing I love and hate FF is these crew/equipment functions, they can be fun and immersive when working and you are doing normal flight, but can also be frustration when you want just quickly load on the runway and say test flight some parameter with certain load, or in your case, set a replay... Hope it can be made an option to disable all these function and able to quickly set load/condition.

Love your videos. They are so helpful. Do you have a video or help topic on assignment of the Thrustmaster Boeing Throttle Quadrant? Namely the Airspeed - Heading - Altitude selectors with the 777 MCP. I’m struggling finding the correct assignment in x-plane 12.
How come they must re-adress the VNAV for each aircraft? Excuse my ignorance but I thought it was just a navigation think and it should come naturally in the autopilot (reduce the throttle and enjoy the ride).
To my knowledge VNAV has to factor in so many different things such as weather, weight and obviously restrictions. So programming all of that is a lot of work.
Hi Captn, hope all is ok. I enjoyed this video. Thank you for being a reliable source. Can you please share the settings of your Boeing Thrustmaster yoke and quadrant? I have done everything possible to set mine but I can't use it 100% like the zibo. Thank you very much, appreciated. Hugs!
Speaking on his behalf, as he’s answered this a time or two before haha. Both models are great. The ZIBO in XPlane tends to feel more accurate in terms of flight dynamics, especially on take off and landing. That said, the PMDG is great, and offers a lot in terms of system depth, and offers more failures than the ZIBO, plus has the benefit of the visual feast that is MSFS. But both are great, and for most summers, they’ll be happy with whichever they choose to fly. Or do as he does, fly both and enjoy them for what they each offer.
We actually don’t select flight control synoptics on for the Before Taxi CL as we are not allowed to rely on it for operational decisions. I am unsure if that CL item is even part of the Boeing standard config. If there is a problem with flight controls it will display as an alert message on the EICAS.
Understood! Makes sense, our NG’s don’t have the flight control option on the MFD but then again it doesn’t have FBW. What do you think of the FF 777? FD2S
@@flightdeck2sim I don't have the luxury of being among the testers, but I have to say it looks quite impressive. @@samuelsmith2112 I vaguely remember Twkster (Zibomod physics guy)'s answer to a question similar to that. He talked about a few things, most of which I've probably forgotten already, but here's a lil' inaccurate summary: (NOTE: This was written before MSFS2020's announcement) The realism of a flight model is almost 100% dictated not by the simulator, but whoever is unlucky enough to be the one making the flight model. FSX's lookup table makes it easy to create a passable simulation, but more difficult to make a truly authentic "feel" of the plane. X-Plane's Blade Element Theory makes it difficult to create even basic simulations, but (relatively) loads easier to create nigh-exact to real life simulations. However, Twkster mentioned how Blade Element Theory is akin to "learning the violin"; e.g. one cannot plug values in and it immediately being accurate, but will require "practice" and back-and-forth between X-Plane and PlaneMaker/AirfoilEditor. or something like that, idk "🤓"
Hopefully this is better than their 767/757 in terms of bugs. Because the amount of bugs with those aircraft at any given time has completely burned me from qanted to touch flight factor anymore.

Not flying Alpaca airlines, apparently the pilot gets bored halfway though the walkaround :D (although tbf, this was an Emirates pilot, always thought they were a bit dodgy (football reference)).
As ive raised on the FF discord this looks to have great potential. However it really seems like a 767/777 blend of procedures rather than being a true 777. Things like “procedures” are not on the ECL only checklist items. Things like a purser call as well when in reality you have the “cabin ready” indication which is triggered by the purser when the cabin is ready again is more 767 than pure 777. Once Vnav is implemented will be the true test of how this 777 will stand up. One thing i really dislike is having things like the before taxi procedure into the electronic checklist which does not exist in reality. Procedures are done from memory by the crew on command OR when obvious ie Captain calls ground equipment clear. Putting non existent things into a very clean checklist to cater for simmers to me is a major poece of inaccuracy. CLB/Con should be done automatically based on perf info you program in. Likewise in an engine failure it auto select con after clean up at accel altitude. Good stream flying the 777 mate im keen to see how this comes along as it looks pretty solid.
