You saying he is only making $5 million this year is so misleading... he got paid $19 million of his fully guaranteed $31 million before ever playing in the NFL. He already got $3million this year while he wasn't practicing and he got the other amount for this year paid to him before ever playing in NFL (he was paid 3 yrs in advance)
    Ja'Marr will make
    2025 $21.8 fully guaranteed
    2026 $35 Million
Notice Burrow isn't saying he's only making $10million this year which is technically what Burrow is making this season... but Burrow was already paid $40M and $70M in the last year in bonuses that don't count against the cap

I get trying to protect the organization from being hamstrung by a hefty contract for an injured player, but you’ve got to balance that with showing players that they are valued members of the organization.

The franchise just has to get up to date. Hendrickson should have been given an extension with guarantees. Tee could have been signed. Reader could have been brought in along with Rankins. Bates should have never left. They just needed to give these signing bonuses and make guarantees to lessen the cap. This is how the Eagles have this stacked team, have their qb with Brown and Smith signed and made a splash deal getting Barkley. Bengals fans couldn't dream of this as a possibility. Our splash signing was Trent Brown, who these same fans think doesn't even want to be here and is just collecting a paycheck lol.
If they do not have the money to be able to make these moves they should sell the team to someone who will. Browns are over there overpaying everyone while we are making all our best players upset and making it worse on ourselves. Chase of all players should not be a player we are doing this to.

I’d disagree, in terms of talent Chase is 1 for 1 with JJ. The only reason JJ had those good stats is because he didn’t have a WR2 that took away from his targets like Higgins did to Chase. JJ is the Vikings franchise player which is why they paid him so much money to keep him even though they knew he’d have an ass QB. Chase knows he’s franchise player worthy just like him but the bengals ain’t moving since they already have burrow as their main guy who gets them jersey and ticket sales and who knows what else. At the end of the day it’s a business you can say team this and that but if you were in this situation we both know bengals ain’t going to win any championships anytime soon so they need to pay him top tier money to waste his prime years on this team or else he’ll go get his money elsewhere. It’s a job for them, just like normal people leave their jobs for more money somewhere some he’s entitled to do the same or ask for a raise. He’s part of the reason Burrow looked so good anyways and without him Burrow will be just another good qb with 0 weapons.

Jefferson’s guaranteed money = 110 million. Chase guarantee = 30 million. Chase has gone through 2 seasons. Which means he could theoretically end his NFL career with a whopping 15 million. From a business perspective, he’s a flipping genius. I’ve been on the end of creating immense value for a company and getting railed out of my fair share. Denying 90 mil guaranteed is WILD, but honestly… This guy is one of the guys that everyone talks about potentially being the top WR. Before this contract nonsense chase we were talking about him putting up a potentially historic season this year. Now he’s a scrub and the world can’t believe he’s asking for more bread. Jefferson has had questions about qb play ALL off season. This bengals team has all of the pieces necessary to make a deep run, the vikings… cant say the same. Does it really make sense that the best player vikings gets more than the bengals? Not to me. Especially if the bengals put it together and win a sb. I think chase knows his worth and hes making them pay. Otherwise hes gonna have to play the season on training wheels to protect his future. I think this guy is asking because hes ready to put it out on the line. Also, never forget that a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow.

    • @jw561

Personally, I’d be more upset to be a vikings fan. They have the best and most expensive receiver in the league, but nobody to throw to him. The vikings paid an arm and leg for mediocrity. At least the bengals have hope. Im personally more entertained by cincinatti and have been for the past 3 years since burrow and chase got there. This is coming from a dolphins die hard.

Couldn't WHEN they pay the guarantees actually help with team building and making sure they can still be competitive
If the $90 million is fully guaranteed at signing then Even if Ja'Marr gets injured he gets $90 million guaranteed... regardless if he plays EVER again or not
How does that protect the Bengals when its just a matter of when the Bengals have to pay him... which protects other players on the team bc that cash could be used to sign others in 2026
So pushing that money only helps to sign and have more cash available for other players and to potentially sign another WR if Ja'Marr gets injured

    • @frankystrings
      @frankystrings 6 дней назад

There's only 3 4 receivers on earth that could replace chase.
The entire defense is replaceable except Trey.

We only needed 1 TD from Ja'Marr on Sunday to win but Ja'Marr sitting out of practice for months definitely affected Burrow's confidence in throwing to Ja'Marr even when only covered one on one most of the time. Ja'Marr had 2 targets and 7 yards in the 1st half
it's entirely based on cash flow for other players to be signed, remaining competitive, giving him security 1 yr early and $30M signing bonus right now vs next year
Why does Ja'Marr care when he gets his 90M (if its fully guaranteed)? So he can sit out again in a couple of years. He got most of his 4 year rookie salary before ever playing in NFL but now he says he is only getting 1M this year when he was paid 3 yrs in advance for this year. So when you pay Ja'Marr in advance he has proven he will sit out of practice for months and threaten to sit out of games. Notice that Burrow isn't complaining about only making $10M this season... bc just like Ja'Marr that doesn't reflect what he's been paid and will be paid

It's the ultimate team game and that's why you NEED to practice as a team 😂 and especially 11 on 11s.
So according to you, Mahomes isn't any good bc he puts in extra work with his receivers every offseason... game of inches for those hungry to win. Is Chase hungry to win bc him sitting out of practices didn't help the team. The team might have played alot better if Ja'Marr had practiced for the last month with the team. And Burrow is part of the team. Burrow didn't even look jamarr way when he got open bc that's what should naturally happen when you don't practice. And Burrow probably didn't want Ja'Marr to look bad like Aiyuk dropping balls
Ja'Marr will be top paid along with JJettas so what are you talking about. I've said Burrow could've taken $52M like Mahomes instead of $55M. So where does race fit in with Travis Kelce making $17M this year and $12M per year before that and $10M per year before that. Why should Chase make $35-40M while Mahomes top weapon makes $17M.
