Controversial, but You probably have seen reference Scott the Woz about his opinion on Sonic CD. He kind of refers to the the game as “unnecessary”. Which makes me think Amy is an “unnecessary” character for the Sonic franchise. Mainly more as a Damsel in Distress like Princess Peach. Although she has been given’ some light, SEGA, I feel like, doesn’t give us enough time to understand the character.

Amy is not like peach. In sonic adventure she got captured but she mostly got out on her own and really the only thing sonic did for her was have tails there to fly her off the egg carrior. Amy builds herself up and is far more independent than characters like peach.
