Loved seeing the C7 on the track. The outcome was pretty easy to predict, and a shame it wasn't a manual, but I get a kick out of seeing the boys react to something different.
Yeah, but the one thing they got wrong was that the Viper ACR was faster around the Nordschleife than the C7 by 12 seconds
I believe the manual in the C7 would have been easier to manage for these guys but it had a good run

@@joshsuelto It is a production car. Though the C7ZR1 has been taking it on other road courses. GM never had a good opportunity to run the ZR1 at the Ring in ideal conditions, there's articles about why it never happened or the opportunities they had were gimped.
He was driving the Corvette slow. It looked like the race was set up to make the Corvette lose on purpose.

@@pedrorivera2308 I've learned a LOT about vehicles watching these guys since the days of 240p RUclips. Their racing experience and knowledge of factory cars is the reason I drive the JDM car I have today. I'd probably be in some boring Tesla if it weren't for these guys.

Best Motoring hates American cars so it's unlikely we'll see it. They have a bias towards Japanese and German vehicles.

Japan has the best track cars ever,,we all know this,,but that Corvette looks stock and would perfom best if it was tuned like the rest of the other vehicles,, overall it performed great 👍,,Great race !!!
The 'vette would do a lot better if it was on a track with more straights (they mentioned Fuji). In addition it needs to be in a manual transmission, that automatic seemed clunky.
@@justinchou2033 nah the vette just needs better tires, and no one besides a few corvette racing team drivers can handle the track mode. You need to put it in sport mode.
Well, that is up for debate, i think if you ask an average Japanese tuner they will say that Europe has the best cars, the grass is always greener of the neighbours.

コルベットはATだからダメなんです。7MTのグランスポーツだったら他の車には負けないし、熱に悩まされることはないですよ

are transmission failures that common in the 86???I mean 2 out of 2 cars...one NA not even that powerful...
they were thrashing them but idk, i guess so. subaru isnt known for the strongest transmissions hehe
subarus wrx are know to have problems when the engines are tunned, seems like they using the same gearbox? the sti ones are bulletproof
It’s just the fork that are common issue on 86/BRZ. Aftermarket reinforced fork is a must if you want to track it.
Trans is actually an Aisin (30% Toyota-owned supplier)
I agree, the engineers must have know people would track these cars, to have one give out that weighs 950kg and only 200hp is absolutely a joke especially for a newer car. the 320hp one mayyyyybbbbeee can be excused but still...i dont know any tuner cars that cant take a few extra hp...or break at stock power.

The z06 or zr1 Manual would be more comparable to the gtr nismo's class. The auto in the corvette is terrible, plus it's not even in the same realm as a dct from the gtr. Awesome video!!

Any car with too much tuning done to it isn't really reliable. Plus, the Revo86 is auto-rev matching program. It maybe the culprit to the ECU?. My friend has one of that program and it's awesome to downshift, it does it for you in a constant rpm.
@@JMDrives Ahhh, I think the 86 is just underbuilt, which makes it light, but not so good when pushed to these extreme limits. So damn fast (when not broken) on the touge with Tsuchiya behind the wheel- really unbelievable and amazing to watch.

このコルベットが本当にFRニュル最速なのか疑問が残ります。
ニュル最速を取ったポルシェGT2RS,MRのように市販されていないモデルで、FRニュル最速タイムを出したんじゃないかと疑うレベルです。
vette is more for open road racing, tight stuff like this is hard to keep air moving over it's radiator. In the states our interstate speed limits are 129kph. The V8s are made to produce so much low-end torque that they idle at those speeds, that gives them better fuel economy. It would also help to keep the vette at higher RPMs to keep water and oil circulating. Low RPMs with low air flow causes allot of heating issues in large displacement V8s. But the vette is a product from and for a different part of the world.
