They all made match play at the Masters, I am pretty sure the results are good....... This was just a showcase of the many varying styles that made it.

BzzDog, I know what he meant, and I was referring to the fact that since they were in match play, they throw the ball well and the results of the shots themselves were good. Its only the first few bowlers. The majority of it shows full release and result.
Of course it'll be harder when you don't have 5 boards left and right to miss. But there are ways to make any pattern you bowl on apart from house shots easy.
His nickname is Joey Pants lol... Bowls at Penndel In Pennsylvania where he runs the proshop.. I think he has a sponsorship with them.. He has been stuck in regionals for a long time.. search his name on youtube and he wears these pants in every tournament.
The title should be changed from "2014 USBC Masters: A Look at Match Play" to "A whole bunch of people throw the ball but we give no clue as to who is bowling whom"
This is great footage... but are these guys really bowling with that loud, obnoxious, repetitive "music" constantly playing? I assume not. Having said that, it's VERY annoying while trying to watch them in these clips!!
Doesn't anyone ever leave a weak-10 on a half-hit anymore? Cripes, these balls carry everything - even fudge shots. Resin should be banned. It's just a carrying contest. Yawn. Bah-humbug.
blinkers88 Because candlepins is REAL bowling. No advantages to lefties, the bowling balls don't matter, no lane condition, and strikes are rare. You have to make your shots perfectly. After 30 years of bowling 10-pins, I'm done forever.
