I remember when I lived on the North Shore when he was a young boy cruising everywhere with his dad. He was super friendly always. Glad to see he turned out so awesome.
I used to drive him to school in the morning when he was very young and hung out with my little sister and all the Sunset groms. Always been cool , always been respectful, always been a strong kid. It makes me smile to see him doing so well. There's a mental toughness there that most people do not possess.
Good morning Makua. Come to my house in Minnesota and play your music. I really miss surfing north shore Hawaii. Back in my mid 30's I was a fin setter in Wahiawa & wish it never ended. If you ever need a break or wanna surf lake Superior my house is open to you & those you bring.
I didn't even want to watch this at first. I know what Fast Eddie Rothman is about. I know about Da Hui. The Drugs. Larry Mehau. I grew up around all that shit. and figured, a Rothman is a Rothman. This guy seems descent. I know growing up in Hawaii as Eddie's boy opens some doors, but there's the negative part and Everyone in Hawaii watched those hearings on TV. I was surprised to see how humbling he is. That's what Hawaii is all about, the Aloha.
+Aloha Notoriety? I don't see how it would? Im saying that I, along many others who grew up in Hawaii at that time remember what happened. And that's what was involved. On that scale, it effected everyone. I was young in the 80s, but old enough to understand. Hawaii is my home too. I love Hawaii. Those hearings effected us all. It made us realize that our home is no different from other big cities in the US. Here Im giving big respect to Makua. There's comments mentioning Eddies past and they're asking if Makua gets his drug empire. I didn't say anything like that. I think that's disrespectful, but this is what Makua is facing and always has in Hawaii. Thats why I said, the son of Fast Eddie may open some doors, but there's a lot of negativity this guy has to endure to make a respectable name for himself in Hawaii. I give him not only much respect but even more love for wanting to walk away from that side and make a respectable name for himself. If thats the case. Sounds like it his in this vid. cause that boy sounds pretty humble.
you mean the one that opens with Makua shooting a machine gun? I was also looking for it. I think VICE put it out or maybe MTV? I think the show was buried when he ran for political office last year.
Back in the day my buddy was drunk and danced with the wrong girl Eddie knocked him out and kicked him off the island. I tried to tell my friend how to behave but he had to learn the hard way. Ah. .the good ole days. Stay salty my friends.

+Rayne Namuo I wish he'd been there more for his kid ... you know, like when the kid was actually born, and more a parent of his infant son.
