She hit the needed high notes, there were even moments that I believe are equal to or better than the original. Somehow I truly believe that Matoma would have chosen her. The sad reality in these shows is the unpredictability of great singers leaving the competition because the song choice was perhaps not the best for his or her voice. In this case, Maria (a conservatory trained singer) has s beautiful voice with range and clarity. Another time, we all hope, Maria! Be encouraged and keep looking up!
