He's not French. You have to assume a French name when you join.
I'm trying to work out what his accent is...
Foreign Legion. Not French might even be British though there is a bit of an accent. It's hard to pin down.
He's undoubtedly British - as is a heap of guys who join up for 2 EME (French Foreign Legion Parachute de Comp). His Legion pseudonym as is the norm is not of his choice but given to him by the Legion. They are indeed a formidable force to be reckoned with and comparable with 2 Para. This is not a first - 2 Para have gone on NATO exercises with the French Foreign Legion - even when I served 1966 - 1975. There are exchange programmes where units of 2 Para go over there to Corsica (Legion Base) - and vice versa.
So stereotypical Germany Farmlands on the edge of dense woods with windmills in the Background. Plus British Soldiers.

Lt Colonel Mann must be a very smart bloke,as an ex para I've never seen an LC so young,does anyone out there remember LC Fielding 1 Para aka crazy horse,great bloke must of been in his fifties at leased.

... not sure if you are being serious but on the off chance you are:
Almost every British Army unit wears berets.... until they go into combat or on exercise where there is risk of being shot at, then they wear helmets. That's like seeing the US Army on exercise with ACH on and saying "I thought the US Army wore Patrol Caps."
dernwine For some reason I was under the impression certain units (Paras and Royal Marines) wore berets in combat too. Not sure where I got that from.
They wore them during the Falklands war to prevent the chance of friendly fire.

why show aggression towards Russian personel? RUSSIANS ARE NOT A THREAT TO THE UK. They are the best allies to have on your side and the deadliest soldier to go toe to toe with. So think clearly on the situation para reg.
