  • It's time to head into the lab to learn how to engineer a bird beak with Emma Gardner, STEM specialist at WVU Jackson's Mill.
    Using the engineer design process, we'll test five different "beak" tools and five food sources. For this activity, you'll need tools such as tongs, chopsticks, a small spoon, a pipette or tweezers, but you can also test other tools. You'll also need items that represent food sources, like rice, popcorn kernels, pipe cleaners, pompoms or water.
