I brought a pixel 6 pro a few weeks ago, I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S21 and I haven't experienced such a good reliable fast phone. That switch from 8GB of ram to 12GB is very noticeable when it comes to all switching, load up times. The camera is a lot more clearer and gives me the shot I want every time. The battery is really good considering it's a second hand, lasts a full day without fail.

I did trade in my 6 Pro for a 7 Pro for many of the reasons you mentioned, connectivity being a biggie. I can't begin to say how many calls were dropped by my 6, and almost every other day I'd look at the phone to see it had lost connection to my mobile network, requiring a restart which fixed the problem. Not only that but my curved screen cracked twice, which I fixed once through Google to the tune of $300, and just left it when it happened again within a month, despite keeping it in a case all the time. I had almost decided to go with an iPhone but Google's generous trade in offer made me decide to give it a go and I'm glad I did. This new 7 Pro has been bulletproof and ultra reliable thus far.

How is upgrading every year bad for your wallet?
You get the best promotions when you trade in the year old phone. Traded in the 6p for the 7p. I basically got the 7p for free. Didn't hurt my wallet at all. That's a dumb stigma people have

Where did you go that you got a promotion that doesn't require you to keep the phone for 24-36 months? I got a promo from Verizon for $700 towards the 7 or 7 pro, but Verizon is only paying the device payments monthly, so if I try getting a new phone next year, I'd still have to pay like 700 dollars to buyout my phone, and get next year's phone with a trade in promo.

Google's acquisition of Team HTC designers and engineers finally paying off for them. I'm loving the design language on these devices and the user experience have been nearly great. Samsung manufactured Tensor and modem is my only concern as I'm not used to the thermal within the internals when using my 6 XL.

It's crap that Google's doing the same thing they did with the 6. They only offer 128GB for any colour other than the black in international markets.
Every other market is an after thought for them.
