- 3D print real working impeller jet engine.
4.8V, 12A, pushing a 500g vice slowly across the workbench.
If this would work in a real RC plane? ...
STL and blender files: www.dropbox.com/sh/us2pyxv7u9...
printed with rapman, 1/8mm, PLA, no raft. Наука
RIP HEADPHONES
LTDanno360 😨😨😨😨😨😨
RIP my ears 0.0
Something like this would have excellent application in the RC world.
An excellent work!
Thank you very much for sharing your files!
Thanks very much for the files!
A really nice project and definitely much cooler than most of the other stuff out there. ;)
Very cool ! its on my print list lol Thank you for freely sharing your hard work ! you are a perfect example to the open source community
Nice! Love the dual stage fan!
Thanks for the STL files Christoph Laimer
I've updated the comment of this video with a link to the STL files.
wow, even moved the clamp... I'd like to see two of those on an RC A10 warthog
Ok, working on it
thank you, I searched for a long time and finally found it
most amazing, great work
Great stuff. 👍👌
Thank you very much for the demonstration .
Im going to print this model out thanks
Thanks for sharing
WHY WHY WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND GOOD VIDEOS LIKE THEESE????
Would be nice to see the thrust possible with an brushless....I mean that is a brushed motor! and it is nicely kicking!!
0:40 Are my ears bleeding? They totally feel like they're bleeding.
Sound Like A Siren
jet engine on pinewood derby car. Also moving an iron clamp like that! not bad.
Hello Christoph,
I printed the parts, they look great.
I can't find the central lock nut that you used to hold all the parts to the motor?
It is in your picture but not in the STL's.
Im making a 3d printed rc plane and i might just try this on in
can you give me the instructions for this Impeller i have a 3D printed to and I need an Impeller like this?
Hi Christoph
Thanks about the stl files.
I try to print it and test in my airplane.
I didnt see how you fixed the impeller with the motor axis.
I want to build an rc outrunner motor in it .
Regard Örs
we're can you buy one of these as it's exactly what I've been looking for.
hi christoph, I printed most of the parts of this impeller jet engine but impelleur_rotor_a.stl gives me only the central part no blades. corruptrd file? When i open the file in blender, i see de blade but when i slice the stl files created with blender, no blade!!!

Hey!
I would love to get the file for this impeller design. I need to make some impellers for a project I am doing, and this would be a good place to start.
What motor did you use?
What do you use for the shaft ?
Is that PLA or something else?
8.6g / W is insane if tits true. nice
what kind of motor is used in this project? a 775 dc motor?
How much for 4 engines in hollow internal honeycomb matrix titanium engines and parts.
Is there a possibility to get the stl File of this impeller, because I would really like to print it myself.
I am now deaf. I had head phone on. I did not see that coming!
Could this work with an edf f18 superhornet
The main goal of impeller on a jet engine is actually compression. (Unless it's a bypass fan design, in which case the fan stage does produce some amount of thrust.) Thrust is then developed by expanding gases due to combustion in the burner stage and passage through the reaction nozzles or vanes at the stator before the expansion stage turbines. If you were to put a restriction on it and measure the pressure increase, that would likely tell you if the design is any good.
Now if only you had access to one of those metal-sintering 3D printers.

lol this is a 100% bypass axial fan...
Can you PLEASE post this on Thingiverse or something!?
Hi Chris, can you please post the specs of the motor you used? I would really appreciate it!
I used a dc motor from an old rc-car. The dimensions match with the standard rs-540 motor (35mm diameter, 54mm length).
Thanks for the information! I will try to make one with my crappy printer this weekend ^^
Sounds like it's in severe pain
Motor?
for everybody seeing this in 2018 DO NOT PRINT IT!!! it is a waste of filament. the files are not complete there a missing som stuff AND it is solid it does look hollow bout it is NOT trust me have printed 2 of this now and it is 100% solid where the engine go. i believe this is on purpose from christoph some sort of bad joke or just stupidity. so DOT NOT print it is a waste of time
It's a share projet. Feel free to do you own projet fully reliable then.
Dude you can choose youself in your slicer if you want it solid or not
I just printed it and is perfectly ok ;-)
I've updated the comment of this video with a link to the STL files.
Hi Chris, can you print this for me, if yes, how much will it cost ? Thanks
