The meatball is the same as the meat in the combination banh mi. It’s called cha lua. It’s basically a Vietnamese ham or bologna. And the meat w the red colored skin is xa xiu aka char siu. The best banh mi I’m my opinion! Also, bun bo hue >> pho

Pro Vietnamese food tip if someone hasn’t mentioned it already:
If you order broth/noodle soups to-go, boil up the broth and meat in a pot on your stove when you get home. That way, your soup is piping hot like in the restaurant! Then, pour the hot soup onto your noodles whether it is for Pho, Bun Bo Hue, or any Viet noodle soup dish!
After pouring, enjoy! I’m from the area too and I’m so grateful to have found your videos man. Definitely hit up “Ngu Binh” like someone else mentioned! ❤️🔥

Does the Bánh mí have shrimp paste 🤤 and omg Bún Bò Hûe is my absolute favorite 🤤 the blood cube the tripe I like shrimp balls in mine if available and all the meat that comes with it it’s so flavorful spicy but not too spicy I always ask for my bean sprouts to be blanched So it doesn’t make my soup cold quickly but I’d rather have water spinach and Also ask for long green onions in oil chile oil shrimp paste I add oyster sauce Sriracha and little bit of soy sauce lots I also ask for fried garlic 😂 I order fried shrimp balls and the Thai dessert to go 😅 I also ask for my drink a Taro milk tea with boba 🧋 😋

Suggestion would be com tam, which tons of Westerners love. Bun cha, if you can find it. Banh xeo (takeaway would may affect it's crunch factor, though), banh cuon, bun rieu, the different sticky rices (not sure the options where you live, but try both the savory versions with everything on it and also the sweet versions), Brodard's famous spring rolls, bo kho (with baguette), ca ri ga (chicken curry, the one that comes with a baguette), bo luc lac (shaking beef), bo ne (dodging beef), etc.
You should try Nep in Fountain Valley, I think. It's a modern Viet-French fusion place. Not sure if it'll taste good as takeaway vs eating there, though.

If you like eating Banh Mi, you definitely need to try the Banh Mi Heo Quay, it's Crispy Skin Pork Belly Banh Mi. My favorite place to get it, is at Carrot & Daikon Banh Mi. Bun Bo Hue is my favorite bun dish! BTW, Bun is pronounce boon. I agreed, Brodard is always crazy packed but their rolls are delicious! Love your channel!

i love brodard! they do over the phone and online orders too! maybe you’ll like miến gà - bean thread noodle soup with chicken (but brodard has a stir fried version) and bánh canh - a thicker tapioca starch noodle soup. My favorite for kids especially is bánh bôt loc - tapioca dumplings and bánh bèo - rice cakes with dried shrimp.

Future tips for current items in video:
BBH usually comes with chili oil-CD specific tip & I love a loooot of lime in Vietnamese noodle soups, although it may just be my own preference. You can try squeezing lime in a spoonful and see if you like it more before doing your whole soup
(love how Jordan is slowly open to eating things he knows will be spicy/also got the vibe that he may not have liked these dishes as much so props to him for sitting it out, maybe he can get positive reinforcement for future videos ? (People need to remember that these videos are more like treats, as the crunch family usually eats healthy and we get to see the good side of a kid eating lol))
Like someone else mentioned, try the bbq roasted pork banh mi (banh mi heo quay) it’s like the filipino crispy skinned pork.
*Be careful of the differentiation as it can be mixed up with other pork variations we have with the Banh mi

Some of these others mentioned and I second, as these are all popular and delicious but I think Jordan may like the catfish the most (as it’s fish). It’s different and fun, if you’re open to making your own spring rolls
Also, was hasty in posting.. phone was at 1%, didn’t want to lose all that info 😆 I wanted to add that this is why I like learning about personality types.
CD is definitely more of a xxxP (perceiving) who are more laid back but has more order in their mind vs a xxxJ type who are more orderly in their physical world. This helps with allowing free thinking/less structure in their mind
I suspect this is what CM’s side is like, who Jordan are close to and hence why Jordan is having a misalignment with his function and surroundings hahah and why he wants CD to conform. Not only is Jordan naturally more organized, but also being orderly is reinforced as good. He is rewarded/disciplined in this way/helps him stay out of trouble by those he connects closest
In actuality, we all serve our own purposes. CD is doing the coordinating that isn’t seen by the naked eye (or Jordan) and making sure certain aspects of the video is incorporated. Whilst CD is occupied in one aspect of the video, Jordan reminds them of the smaller details.. you’ll have different focuses but this shows/is showing potential of a great team in my opinion :)

Banh Xeo* no "n". Also, Quan Mii has two locations - the original in Bolsa. The Fountain Valley is their second location.
