I couldnt believe that (most of) Inferno Squad was in set 1. Mr. Bones being in set 3 feels like a complete fever dream. Love that FFG are diving deep!
the thing i like the most about jango right now is that his effect on deployed side is not dependent on "on attack" like boba. so you deploy jango with initiative and they deploy boba, then you ambush bossk into boba (or play overwhelming barage or strike true or whatever) and exhaust him and it shuts down his powerful flip turn. Jango shuts down pretty much all "on attack" triggers which is a ton of leaders.
Holy crap lmao Grievous unit is hilarious!!! Will certainly force this ability to work once and then never think about it again and it will be so satisfying.
Someone let me know if there’s any good content after the 5 1/2 minute mark because I was instructed to go first read that trilogy so I may be a hot minute ;) if that’s a generally accepted great series I should pick it up. Loved the Thrawn books but haven’t read much else other than most of the new pre pre prequel stuff
Outside of Chirrut and Sabine the only other leader I can think of it helping is Qira? It makes her come out as a 4/5 letting her trade into 4 damage leaders like Bossk and Boba and live. (But at the same time Qira I think really likes to be in blue/green.)
So gutted when I realised the Admiral Yularen and Colonel Yularen (despite being the same guy) don't share the same name for Hunter. It would have comboed so well with Hunter, Marauder, and Echo.
In reference to the Mace Windu's lightsaber, I think it does synergize with him. You're probably using multiple damage cards to push damage on board units and playing a decent number of cards from hand, so a way to refill your hand may be necessary.
@mikejowan3340 it might be. If I were to honestly rate it, I'd put it at a 5 or 6/10. But I think you go all in on the control aspect and survive as long as possible in a Mace deck. Almost play helmet using blue and red or even double red with that upgrade talked about in the video. Play a handful of cheap sentinels or aggressive units and then a few late game units and maybe just 2 of these lightsabers at best. I don't think you max it, but I think you play it to resolve it once for the late game draw. But drawing into answers isn't necessarily a bad thing. 2 cost draw 2 might also be the best draw rate so far in the game, making it maybe viable. It honestly depends on how consistently control can make it to turn 6. But back to the point I mainly wanted to make, I just honestly think it has synergy with Mace. I'm not saying it is good. Control just wants some level of draw if not another way to stall to accumulate resources in hand. That's more the message I wanted to debate, to give substance to if the draw 2 has synergy with a control/hard removal archetype.
I think you got jango's ability wrong. You said that also the new elite p38 starfighter would trigger his ability but only effects that say "this unit deals dmg" and starfighter says "you may deal dmg"
I could be wrong and someone may have already pointed it out but I believe that OB wouldn't work with Jango. The damage is done by OB not a friendly unit so it wouldn't trigger Jango. Like I said, I could be wrong. Someone let me know! Also, loved the perspectives on the reveals!
"Give a friendly unit +2/+2 for this phase. Then, it deals damage equal to its power divided as you choose among any number of other units." So it does work because it says "it deals damage equal to its power" referring to the unit. :)
Is twice the pride worth playing at 4 cost on chewbacca leader? it makes chewbacca 8/7 with sentinel. But you could also play this on set 2 chewbacca unit for 2 cost. if you smuggle chewbacca he becomes a 9 cost red unit. :) and he becomes a 10/8 with twice the pride.
You guys crapping on Coordinate is getting old. Coordinate is going to be triggered a lot. I don't know what game you guys play, but having 3 units on the board happens all the f'ing time, even in the current sets. It's going to happen all the time.
