Krisiloff, if he is kin to Tony George, getting a ride in the Clabber Girl car is no surprise, Since Clabber Girl was the source of much of the Hulman/George family fortune. I was a young racing fan when Steve Krisiloff hit the Indy racing scene and a little bit of a deal was made of him for two reasons: first, because he was Jewish, and there hadn’t been too many Jewish race car drivers and, second, because he was from the NYC area (from NJ suburbs) and NYC has never been a hotbed of racing talent. Growing up in NYC, Steve, for a brief time was something of a local hero, but that faded away pretty quick.
You really don't know what a bust is, do you? Pearson dominated the Xfinity series and beat some of the all time Cup legends in doing so. Only reason his Cup career never took off is because his equipment sucked. PJ Jones had lousy equipment as well. The DieHard truck was mechanically unreliable, and the BEST Cup team he ever drove for was AJ Foyt's team which was bad in and of itself. Despite this he got their best finish of 4th at Watkins Glen. Hardly a bust.
