Thanks for being part of this incredible journey!
As a nurse for over 25 years, I agree with your pointers & here's another: Keep your license current even if you think you want to take a break, pivot away, raise a family. Your license is an asset 📃 ✨️
Thanks awesome advice ❤❤
great tip!!!
Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! This video couldn’t of came at a better time. Tears are falling from my eyes 😭😭 because I am a new grad and I interviewed at 2 hospitals and got the job at both. My passion is the ER and I was feeling like I don’t remember much from school and how in the world am I going to achieve being a compassionate, efficient, and thorough nurse working in such a critical setting… nonetheless - I know it’s my purpose for sure and I am going to walk in it. Much less allow God to truly direct my steps as I know he’ll continue to do. God bless 🙏🏽
I loved this comment so much because I’m still in nursing school and I often worry that when I graduate I’ll forget a lot. It’s comforting to know that it’s not weird to feel this way. Also I hope everything works out at your new hospital.
@@ashantafernandez6452 thank you and with God number 1 you can and will accomplish all you’ve imagined. Best wishes to you as you complete your school (:
I love this! You will do great things with that mindset 😘
its been 7 months, how do you feel about your position now?
I’m so thankful to hear this 🎉
How do you feel about new grads going into a residency program vs as a regular hired nurse?
I’m a new graduate, about to sit for my exam next week. I loved this video, definitely a new subscriber ❤😊
Congratulations ❤
excellent tips! I agree with you, Queen. I am a nurse for over 12 years!!
Nurseprenuers!!!! I love you all.

Fellow KY grad here ❤ Thx for the representation & great video.
The high risk facility burned me out and destroyed me physically and mentally and I ended up quitting after 7 months
Oh no! Take care of you!
I’m graduating in a few weeks and I appreciate this advice! New subscriber here!! God bless you!👍🏽👍🏽🌹
You got this! Thanks for the support!
Hello i understen half of the things you say, iam mexican, and you are someone i want to follow, i wish some day a can be a travel nurse like you ❤
Aww thank you so much?
Please put your financial advisor in the description box
Yesssss I need some financial advice to be able to not go over budget when getting those new checks
This is amazing advice
Thank you for the support🫶🏾
I love your hair!❤ Would you ever do a tutorial?
I would have to get with my hairstylist! I have some content on IG !
I have been trying to land a new grad L&D job. I am an ABSN deans list student with a previous bachelors, certified birth and postpartum doula, and one year of experience as a tech.
It has not been easy! I’m seeing 1 year experience mandatory everywhere I look. I accepted a step down job but idk how to transition into L&D after my nurse residency. Any tips?
Dm me on IG!
Hi! Thank you for the tips!! Quick question - you said you don't need 1 yr of med surg experience, but would you have been able to get your first L&D job without it?
It's almost impossible to get hired at a higher paying hospital here in the Bay Area, CA without at least 6 months Med Surg exp or if you get lucky enough to accepted into a New Grad program.
Hi babes great information. Can you give info on your financial advisor please.
Yes, dm me on instagram
You’re taking too long to get the point!
Thank you for watching🫶🏾
I found everything she said to be positive and helpful
Love all this information
Exactly ugh
Exactly
I graduated as a second career at 50. I am in pretty good physical shape and very knowledgeable with medications and conditions....but now I am worried that I am too old for the first time....getting ready to apply and I pray that it will work out ...thanks for all the advice
Never too old. U got this❤
You’re going to do great. My mom became a nurse in her fifties and she absolutely loves it.☀️
I'm 57 & will say be ready to be shouted at as if you are someone's naughty 11yo. And interrupted. Oh my giddy aunt, the interrupting. I love Nursing but nurses; not so much.... like Dad teaching a teenager to drive. Floor teaching is a different skill to the Nursing. Back yourself and don't let anyone take your achievements or POTENTIAL away from you.
That is awesome! You got this we need you!
I’m 51 and about to start my first nursing job. You aren’t alone. There are many of us in the same position. I think our age will be an asset. We are going in with wisdom and life experience that can’t be taught in school.
I’m not in nursing school. I enjoy working with kids. I want to be a pediatric nurse 👩🏾⚕️
I've gone right back to school right from graduating before. I DO NOT recommend it. You have no energy left.
Thanks alot i needed to hear this as a new grad nurse i was feeling so overwhelmed 😢😢😢
Don’t be overwhelmed! You’re needed!
the way i interviwed 60+ jobs for the area I wanted but because my senior clinical wasn't in that area * i couldn't choose* Majority either didn't get back with me and the ones that did said no cause I didn't have that experience in senior year so I was not able to get a job in the area I wanted starting out I held out as long as I could trying time and again literally looking at multiple states but couldn't get it and my loans were coming due I had to take a job, I'm learning a lot but yeah it sucks seeing people get their dream jobs but it hurts like " why couldn't I get that"
Keep pushing babe! Don’t let a couple No’s stop you from doing what you love
Hi I enjoyed your video! Are you still willing to share your financial advisor’s information?
I was going to ask for the same question
Thank you …
Starting in L&D in a week! Thank you
Yessss! Congratulations babe!
i would never think out of all the states you would work in kentucky lol
Most people don’t think so 😂 Kentucky taught me a lot
Loves this. Needed to hear all of this and just starting nursing school
Congratulations Babe! We need you!
I’m sorry go back to school asap. Studies show the long you wait to go back to school. It’s more unlikely you’ll go back. Go back get your education and rest when your finish.
Thanks for the insight, a degree without experience will not get you far unless you work to gain the proper experience
New grad here & I am so happy God guided me here. I start my new job on tele Monday in Scottsdale AZ, and literally I was the only black nurse in the orientation. I felt a bit awkward thinking I didn’t belong, but yet motivated. This video has truly helped me and wish for you to do more even if it’s just check ins with new grads because we need guidance from within our community as well.
Thank you!
Awww congratulations Nurse Babe! Welcome to the community! Go into this new journey confident in your abilities and know that you are enough and can make the change! We need you! 😘
