      So Moto-x was my whole life and I thought I’d be racing the best in US and Europe… when I failed I turned my back on moto bikes and had to recalibrate Plan-B. Now as a 40pluss old timer your videos and following your races last year have been fundamental in me falling back in love with riding.

    The fact that you teach them riders during the week and race in the highest level of SX during the weekend is unreal. And you still make the main events even sometimes. That right there is a major W. Especially when you think about how much time the riders your up against spend all week every week training and conditioning THEMSELVES for the race. You should be proud of yourself. 💪

    Your fanbase is growing because of what you offer in spite of track results. Logan Karnow and Cade Clason are both local to my area, and sometimes Ill get dressed to ride when theyre out and Ill just watch before I go out to see what they're doing and learn from it. Im in the midwest off season so I try to soak up everything I can when I cant ride. If you told me how to slice a tomato properly Id still keep it in mind even though I dont eat them.

      @@AjCatanzaro I try to get information from different sources, but like you said, you have to be careful who you listen to. Johnny Hopper teaches to ride on the arches of your feet. I've heard from enough reputable sources that it should be the balls, so I feel I know better. Besides, balls just makes more sense when explained and analyzed.

    I really appreciate all the videos, as a 50 plus novice/intermediate rider I would like to make little improvements but the reality is that I can't risk doing things I'm not comfortable with because I can't afford to get injured. So I keep my risk to reward low and try to stay within my zone. Your videos help me gain a little confidence and try new things slowly with less risk. Thank you.

    This is a pretty advanced technique on a snowboard. The patience/confidence you have in your instruction is awesome. Note your leg "flexion/extension" as it relates to the arc of the takeoff/landing. That's just fancy words for bending your legs, but the timing is key. Watch where your knees are "most flexed" or "most extended". It's brilliant footage to demonstrate that concept, for any sport.

    Started experimenting with scrubbing last season. When you get the hip motion right it feels awesome and is super quick compared to just launching it straight. Another way I found that can minimise air is a super quick dip with your body. Not really sure how it's called, but essentially you almost do a squat on the lip of the jump and let the bike move upwards underneath you 🤷‍♂️

    • @AjCatanzaro
      @AjCatanzaro  4 года назад +1

      Yep! You can call that soaking it up. It’s essentially the same movement you would do pumping a bmx bike over rollers.
