I saw the 2017 total eclipse. (a 70-mile drive south) The one thing I would have done differently was to get away from city lights. The lights coming on kept it from getting very dark.

I was in the path of totality last eclipse and the shadows of the leaves on trees were the coolest thing. This eclipse we get around 80%.
