      That is a very thoughtful comment.. They did abdicated their responsiblity and answerable too.. Had the election been postponed for 6 months we could have sailed over this to an extent.. Infact at Kerala, BJP local unit wanted the elections to be postponed.. To May.... The local self govt elections in September in Kerala also spiked cases.. But manageable... We just allowed the virus a magnanimous way forward...

      Narendra and Amit should be given a powerful dose of the deadly strain of Covid19 virus so that all their domesticated institutions will behave responsibly.

    In India, discipline is just a word of dictionary. It doesn't mean anything to those (a) in political power and (b) for poor people who say, if they don't die of covid, they will die of hunger.
    Therefore, along with comorbid elderlies of our country, if our PM decides to blanket the whole population with covid vaccine, just like he did during Lockdowns, that would be very effective measure.
    Good governance is not about popularity of a leader in terms of seats but hard work and sincerity which are not visible anywhere, neither in States nor in Centre.

    It is a general tendency that people avoid visiting Government hospitals until things become very serious and go out of hand. And people should not be blamed for this situation because in most of the Government hospitals the infrastructure is poor and the behavior and attitude of the the staff further aggravates the situation. I would further like to add that there are still large number of Government employees who are very dedicated, sincere and honest.

    Authorities cannot be everywhere. It's up to people to follow precautions. From day 1 of this pandemic we should have emphasised continuously on mask and hand washing rather than taali thali and lockdown events. Somehow this has created a complacency once the event is over.

      I was looking at exactly this perspective, he seems to disconnect from the ground realities and the issues faced by people who are not well off. He keeps blaming people as a whole but completely leaves the government's accountability out of it.

    • @Sourabh_Laddu
      @Sourabh_Laddu 3 года назад +1

      Actually, people to a large extent are to blamed. There is no covid appropriate behaviour, crowding in market places, no mask in wedding gatherings. We should understand that India doesn't have resources to accommodate large number of covid patients. Even vaccine production cannot successfully provide vaccines to target number of people in a short time. The surprising thing is media houses largely just being divided on political sides. There is no logical questioning or reasoning.

    I think sometimes that we get to see most cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra because somewhere covid tests are being done aggressively and on more frequent basis than the other states of India!!
    Secondly, yes for sure this strain of coronavirus is much more contagious and probably more deadly than the one during the previous year...
    So we definitely need to be much more careful than before and adopt a healthy lifestyle...
    Because there's absolutely no proper planning from the government's side, and they are very irresponsibly and unashamedly conducting their political rallies and religious gatherings, and their best precaution is the night curfew or weekend lockdown at some places, which is just meaningless!
    Even their vaccination process is going painfully slow!!...

      Don't keep pushing this narrative.
      Its only recently that Maharastra crossed Tamil Nadu in terms of total tests since the beginning of the pandemic.
      Tamil Nadu has a population of 7.5Cr and Maharashtra has 12.5Cr.
      Also TN does 100% RT-PCR while Maharashtra does only about 60% RT-PCR.
      Karnataka with population of 6.5cr still has tested more than Maharashtra and Karnataka does 90% RT PCR.
      Obviously, if we do per capita or even proportional to case load, Maharashtra has tested way lesser than even these two states.
      Maharashtra dropped the ball big time leading up to this second wave, and people of the state must accept that and not keep saying Maharastra probably tests a lot and others don't. You are only doing yourself injustice.

    • @abhijitmishra5243
      @abhijitmishra5243 3 года назад

      @@manojlds are yaar..
      Whatever!
      We will debate later, which state is doing the most tests....
      But at least for me, the important thing is that this double mutant of coronavirus is much more contagious than before, and attacks in a more aggressive manner, and therefore we collectively should be very cautious about this thing...
      That's the main message I wanted to convey!
      I myself am seeing so many people of my acquaintance that were not infected last year, but have been infected this year despite taking good precautionary measures!!

      I feel it's better to go for wearing masks ,keep distance (which is difficult country like India, yet do with out hesitation) and very much to do is steam inhalation 3times day if we go out for shopping and returns , I really do it it's very helping make me relieved of blocking nose and clearing the throat, as I do it daily even if I suffer from Covid19 I am relieved of it then &there. It's not only my experience and my sister in U S a gynaecologists attending clinic daily doing regularly, even though lot of Covid19 affected persons come to her clinic in a year.

      If this would have been true, testing more etc, then why should there be the most deaths in Maharashtra, almost 40% of total death.In nutshell, there is absence of strategy, plan and worst sort of implementation.
