I keep thinking of mashing up Dracula and the Isle of Dr. Moreau. Run "The Count, the Castle, & the Curse" with marooned pirates.
And, to the name request: La Madre de La Sangre. Could be the (cursed) ship, could be the pirate, but a loyal and blood bound crew, do not know they are serving "their mother's" quest for revenge against the vampire that turned her.
