You neglected to add that ISD carries 2 prefab garrison bases, likely used to establish a planetary base and consolidate ground forces. This makes the ISD class even more potent as it can rapidly deploy these bases to gain an fast and strong foothold on wavering/hostile planets.
There's a book at Barnes & Noble called the Imperial Handbook, which explains how the Empire's military is organized - the Army, Navy, and Stormtrooper Corps - as well as comments by some notable characters in the Original Trilogy.

The guys that raided the Tantive IV, at the beginning of A New Hope, those guys are really good, they really made short work of those rebel defenders. Now compare that to some of the guys that are chasing Han Luke, and Liea around aboard the Death Star. So it's not an equal mix. Which goes to the argument that these guys aren't clones. You know because they're definitely anything but uniform._

I've always wanted to read a story where a galactic sized military has millions of warships, trillions of soldiers, and has scaled strategy up to star cluster size. The canon numbers for the Empire and Republic militaries are one of the few things I despise about the current canon. For comparisons to the 25,000 star destroyers, the US currently has ~90 cruisers and destroyers. So not counting the rest of the US Navy, or even world, the empire has less than 300x the number of mainline combat ships as America; that'd doesn't add up on any level. That being said, there are many things I like about the Star Wars militaries, like the efficiency, actual strategies, and the equipment itself
I think 25,000 is a good number. There are millions of planets in star wars, but only a few that are actually important enough to the Empire to warrant a Star Destroyer. 25,000 is definitely enough to have at least 1 star destroyer at each of their key systems.

What is the most impressing thing in Star Wars is how Vader and the other sith lords would toss you aside like a half-eaten cold happy meal when their whim dictated so to advance their agenda. No matter what sills you brought didn't really matter. I don't think that even 1000 Imperial death stars being destroyed would have phased Vader or the Emperor, or even given them pause. Vader would just ask his master what was next, while the Emperor would just quietly chuckle to himself.
There are 3 main branches of the Imperial Military. The army, the navy, and the Stormtrooper corp. Each branch has a purpose. The army is for wars, it was mostly fazed out by A New Hope. The navy was the primary branch acting in defense of planets or offensive manouevers. The Stormtrooper corp was the advanced fighting force that was the primary army soon after A New Hope.

I always wanted to see Lucas' original story for Jar Jar in Episode 2 and 3. He still is the one who convinces the senate (by influence of Palpatine) to grant Palpatine emergy powers, and help him rise to power. But I want have liked to see the entirety of it. But because 'everybody' hated Jar Jar so much he left it to this little scene.
Star wars history say the Empire is evil, yet its the rebels that kill always win, killing thousands of storm troopers in the movies (destroying star destroyers and both death stars) and yet the empire cant hit squat at times. I mean, a storm trooper can never hit the enemy, but when they do, they do nothing to them. Makes me feel bad. I mean, how many storm troopers and main people in the empire dies? More than the rebels.

Thanks for the research. When I was making the Han Solo Chronicles movie with my kids we placed it 13 years after Endor, because the oldest child would be 13. We imagined that the Empire would be run by the Republic, but factions and Admirals would refuse to give up their power over a sectors they ruled or ships they commanded. These factions would still bully Rebels and space scum while trying to attain recourses to keep things going, thus becoming the FIRST ORDER over time.
I agree, I never understood why people actually complained that the new books are just Disney milking the “Star Wars cow”... by that logic so was the old EU.
chris pearson they aren’t really constrained, they’re just focused on building on what’s happening now in this new trilogy which is understandable in my opinion. After Episode 9 I’m 98% certain other stories will start to pop up. Another thing I don’t understand is when people say there isn’t a single good book or comic or whatever from the new canon (not saying you said that, I’m talking about the crazy people who are most likely just trolls). To me that just means you obviously didn’t read ANY of the new material, either that or you half-assed it and looked for every flaw or made up a flaw. Both of the new Leia books are AMAZING, we have Lords of the Sith which was awesome and built on both Vader and Sidious’ power and dynamic, Lost Stars, Tarkin, Thrawn, Catalyst, to name a few. Even the last two books of the Aftermath series were at least better than the first. The only really weak book that I can think of was Heir to The Jedi I think is what it’s called, that and maybe that Kanan book but I honestly haven’t gotten around to reading it. The Vader comic series just makes Vader even more badass than he already is. Some of the legends material made it seem like Vader came off that operating table at the end of ROTS and was instantly a badass, killing Jedi left and right with ease, but the recent comics shows how he was beaten relatively easily by a Jedi Master right after ROTS and had to basically fight dirty just to win and put aside his “Anakin” tendencies that were still lingering behind. Not that fighting dirty is bad, he is a Sith after all. Wow that was a long rant, apologies. Again, not saying you or others are saying these things I just wanted to get that off my chest lol
Honestly I had really disliked the EU at first it was just milking the success of the movies and trying to make badder "force baddies" while then a few writers saw the opportunity to use the rest of the galaxy to advance the story, but they got cooped by the Force Obsessed derps who more or less made the galaxy one full of idiots who couldn't wipe their own buts without a force user in charge.
The moment you realize some of our technology is more useful walkers are inferior to tracked vehicles, you cannot trip a tracked vehicles as easy and blaster bolts are two slow for effective use a slug thrower aka a real gun for better range accuracy and power especially against force users.
This is why military buffs like me love Star Wars!

What is the most impressing thing in Star Wars is how Vader and the other sith lords would toss you aside like a half-eaten cold happy meal when their whim dictated so to advance their agenda. No matter what sills you brought didn't really matter. I don't think that even 1000 Imperial death stars being destroyed would have phased Vader or the Emperor, or even given them pause. Vader would just ask his master what was next, while the Emperor would just quietly chuckle to himself.
There are 3 main branches of the Imperial Military. The army, the navy, and the Stormtrooper corp. Each branch has a purpose. The army is for wars, it was mostly fazed out by A New Hope. The navy was the primary branch acting in defense of planets or offensive manouevers. The Stormtrooper corp was the advanced fighting force that was the primary army soon after A New Hope.
There are 3 branches of the Empire:
-Stupid
-Very Fucking Stupid
-Completely Retarded
Please make a video explaining all the imperial military branches and their ranks.

Realistically, pure-blooded humans would have gone extinct hundreds of thousands of years ago
Interbreeding with Aliens along with Gene Editing would have turned Star Wars into the Culture or Xelee
Technology should have progressed to the point that the Force is child-like compared to Tech
The problem is that it is that Star Wars Disney IS TENS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLD, PROBABLY MUCH OLDER!
(And Legends is much older than Disney Cannon)

I always wanted to see Lucas' original story for Jar Jar in Episode 2 and 3. He still is the one who convinces the senate (by influence of Palpatine) to grant Palpatine emergy powers, and help him rise to power. But I want have liked to see the entirety of it. But because 'everybody' hated Jar Jar so much he left it to this little scene.
Star wars history say the Empire is evil, yet its the rebels that kill always win, killing thousands of storm troopers in the movies (destroying star destroyers and both death stars) and yet the empire cant hit squat at times. I mean, a storm trooper can never hit the enemy, but when they do, they do nothing to them. Makes me feel bad. I mean, how many storm troopers and main people in the empire dies? More than the rebels.
Realistically, a Meritocratic governmental ruled by Cyborgs and Machines would have existed in Star Wars

8:05 It's not an Interdictor-class, it's Immobilizer-418-class. Interdictor-class it's a ship used in times of the Old Republic, during battle of the Star Forge, for example.

Thanks for the research. When I was making the Han Solo Chronicles movie with my kids we placed it 13 years after Endor, because the oldest child would be 13. We imagined that the Empire would be run by the Republic, but factions and Admirals would refuse to give up their power over a sectors they ruled or ships they commanded. These factions would still bully Rebels and space scum while trying to attain recourses to keep things going, thus becoming the FIRST ORDER over time.

I agree, I never understood why people actually complained that the new books are just Disney milking the “Star Wars cow”... by that logic so was the old EU.
chris pearson they aren’t really constrained, they’re just focused on building on what’s happening now in this new trilogy which is understandable in my opinion. After Episode 9 I’m 98% certain other stories will start to pop up. Another thing I don’t understand is when people say there isn’t a single good book or comic or whatever from the new canon (not saying you said that, I’m talking about the crazy people who are most likely just trolls). To me that just means you obviously didn’t read ANY of the new material, either that or you half-assed it and looked for every flaw or made up a flaw. Both of the new Leia books are AMAZING, we have Lords of the Sith which was awesome and built on both Vader and Sidious’ power and dynamic, Lost Stars, Tarkin, Thrawn, Catalyst, to name a few. Even the last two books of the Aftermath series were at least better than the first. The only really weak book that I can think of was Heir to The Jedi I think is what it’s called, that and maybe that Kanan book but I honestly haven’t gotten around to reading it. The Vader comic series just makes Vader even more badass than he already is. Some of the legends material made it seem like Vader came off that operating table at the end of ROTS and was instantly a badass, killing Jedi left and right with ease, but the recent comics shows how he was beaten relatively easily by a Jedi Master right after ROTS and had to basically fight dirty just to win and put aside his “Anakin” tendencies that were still lingering behind. Not that fighting dirty is bad, he is a Sith after all.

Honestly I had really disliked the EU at first it was just milking the success of the movies and trying to make badder "force baddies" while then a few writers saw the opportunity to use the rest of the galaxy to advance the story, but they got cooped by the Force Obsessed derps who more or less made the galaxy one full of idiots who couldn't wipe their own buts without a force user in charge.

The moment you realize some of our technology is more useful walkers are inferior to tracked vehicles, you cannot trip a tracked vehicles as easy and blaster bolts are two slow for effective use a slug thrower aka a real gun for better range accuracy and power especially against force users.
