Actually you shorted D+ with D- by soldering to the higher pad of the filter...it should have been soldered to the other pad of the filter...the lower one
Sorry for my comment...I saw the video again and I saw that you soldered the wires the other way around as I usually do I prefer the first pad on the PCB and the lower pad of the filter...as you took the second pad/pin from the PCB and the upper pad of the filter...works fine both ways, although it is easier to solder at the first pad where the 21 pin connector was
I just sent my switch for the chip installation and I was going to ask after getting it back, if you could do this work and then I find the YT channel and find this video 😁 I’ll be ordering the Type C soon then.
Tried this and almost destroyed my vita coz of unsteady hands..hahaha..if you just want a charge only type c port better use the left side with the S mark (fuse?) as +5v and ground anywhere..it's a service port for powering up the vita can also charge battery..its safer and faster.. learned this the hardway
25:05 Generally don't place wires on top of components, from looking at the power wires, you could wire it around the components making it lie flat to the board. With a super TINY blog of superglue, you can put it in place and it will look super clean. Also where's the flux on the fuse point, what an ugly joint, I expected better of you! Maybe its your off day lol.

It’s installed correctly and charging and data transfer works perfectly.

Good vid man 💪
what temperature did you use to remove the port I'm going to do this mod soon but I know next to nothing bout soldering
Where i find this usb c mod for psvita to install by myself?
search on google USB C 3.1 Type C Female to USB Type A Male Port Converter Adapter. Dismantle it and you have your component.
Or in case you're wary of following links, just google "oxyllmods usb c"
Wish my install for this has been successful had no experience when doing it

Why does the adapter (vita C) have resistors?
Resistance. Voltage regulators
How about a micro sd mod?
just use sd2vita

What does that S on the resistor mean at 6:46?
it's a fuse pal, it stand for his rating
@@Stry-Glitch Thank you but I figured it out after watching a ton of videos.
now the port is charge only there are no data connections.. not exactly an upgrade
Data is supported as well as charge functionality.
That's a different one

Thank you for the input. We don’t use glue on this type of work for more than one reason. Stick around as we will explain in future videos.
I agree. Very sloppy work. Wires can easily short.
Is there also for vita 1000?
this is vita 1000
Im just being honest, however this is a very sloppy job. Cleaner work would bring alot more views.😅
Pleasw vita 2k
Coming soon.
