A side note: they tend to highlight who is singing in the dancing formation. Usually the person in the middle or front/middle is the one singing. Other times they will have everyone freeze and the person singing will continue to move, visual clues and stuff like that. Honestly though you will go from not being able to tell who is who to knowing each of them quicker than you think lol.
I’m 61 and discovered them a year ago from my youngest daughter. I watch them on RUclips everyday. They do English also. If you watch them daily, you will fall in love with them❤️❤️❤️❤️
Don’t stick to wanting to hear everything in English from them. They are a korean group, most of their discography is in Korean. They only have three English songs. They mix a little bit of English here and there but it’s predominantly korean. Focus on their lyricism and music. That is amazing. The lyric translations on most of these videos are official translations (except a few of their older videos which don’t have translations at all.) So they are correct. Also, don’t try to identify them through hair colours because they change them a lot. Thanks for reacting to BTS. I hope you continue listening to them. They are an amazing group of musicians who have achieved greatness because of their grit and hardwork. Thank you 💜💜 (you’ll see a lot of purple hearts. They mean something to BTS army. You’ll find out soon 😊)
This was my honest first reaction, guys! I think it’s super natural to prefer things of your own language - especially off a first reaction. However, now that I have listened to a lot more of their discography, I really do not prefer the English songs - I much prefer their Korean songs (my faves so far being Black Swan, Dimple & Mic Drop). I Dont think we should pass judgement on people’s first reactions or preferences. I appreciate all of yalls comments/opinions. Thanks💜
@@LexListens thanks for you're onnisty much appreciated. I'm an English person and i dont care about in what language there songs are its the message they send. There's a reason why they are seven members if you watch the seven members of bts then you'll understand.
@@hannaholsen2066 please be kinder / more patient with people who are new to kpop/bts. I definitely did not appreciate kpop the first time I heard it more than a decade ago only because I wasn’t exposed to the Korean language/culture (i was ignorant af back then). Now all i talk about is South Korea, its food, kpop, kdrama, etc 😅
“I really like the blonde one” girl YESSSSSS!!!!!!!! I literally got into BTS by watching DNA as my first video (4 years ago) and the blonde one (Jimin) got me hooked and he has been my bias ever since!! He is INCREDIBLE!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Korean is a beautiful language but also very old and very detailed. When it's translated to English, It may seem like the translations are incorrect based on them saying less and the captions being long, or them saying something long and the captions being shorter. If that makes sense. On official music videos or videos put out by Hybe the translations are correct because they have an in house team that puts them on the videos. An example of syllables in Korean to English would be Thank You with 2 in English but with 4 in Korean 감사합니다 (gam sa ham nida). Hope this comment helps/makes sense lol.
@@LexListens More people are actually learning Korean to fully understand the beautiful Korean language. BTS not only entertain us, but inspire us to continue to be curious, love ourselves and continue to be a better versions of ourselves and more. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
You can hear Halsey more in the Spotify version of this song. She has more parts in the chorus. Also, do not remember who’s who by their hair colours because they do change it every comeback 🤣 Please react to the introduction to BTS by Ida S. It’s the best one out there imo and the most up to date one.
DNA lyrics on youtube is the official one. The big words you see in DNA : commandments of religion, providence of the universe... Well DNA is a song abt lovers being fated to fall in love. Also..Korean sentences being translated into english some times gets wordier the more translators try to express the sentiments of the Korean speaker. DNA is part of the LOVE YOURSELF TRILOGY. 90% BTS songs are part of an over-arching theme. From debut till now their discography are abt their coming of age. Their songs are their personal expressions of struggles basically young adults figuring out their place in the world as people and as artists. They are grown now and have overcome their difficult youths. BTS are the type of artists that do not like to be boxed into boundaries. Their full discography is a whole spectrum of genres in music as they should..since there are 7 members with very different tastes in music. They also don't discriminate against pop music(i say this because some people for some reason look down on pop music..Anyway BTS makes pop perfections) Music to them is a vehicle for them to express their ideas/messages to their ARMYs. BTS have substance and depth.. one have to look past their pop facades to truly see the punk in them. They have gone up against the big Goliaths of the music industry and broke many many barriers without losing their dignity and integrity as artists. They have flipped the status quo especially in the Korean music industry.. literal underdogs that usurps the ones in control for 2 decades all via the power of their music. That's why BTS is punk rock in my eyes.
On one of Halsey's last Albums is also "Interlude: Suga" with BTS member Suga as the name implies. Halsey has been friends with them for years. She learned the dance for the MV over two corners which is why - to everyones amusement - it was not quiet correct and she had to relearn. In this she is a representation of Army (the fandom) and helps to get on the journey of selfdiscovery. (The Persona in the back is more than the Album title.) Both "D.N.A." and "Boy with luv" (not be confused "Boy in luv") are beginning of a storyline/concept. The first one is about Self Love (not to be confused with Narcism) and the second about the journey to find who you are with the psychological theories of Carl Jung. You probably already know this now but Suga and RM were underground rappers. They (and Hobi) are very very good at what they do with three very dfferent styles. Theoretical even the vocal line have rapped and the rap line has sung (and they are good at it). The official translation on the MV's are actually quite good. Some of their first video's don't have translations and "Fire" has a misstranslation so I'd use the *1theK* channel which counts as official. Borahae! 💜
You can tell them apart because they have different faces :) but in all seriousness it gets way easier, telling seven boys with different voices, styles, looks and personalities apart gets easy way faster than you think, even if you don't know their names. Don't overwhelm yourself by overthinking it. If you can tell new classmates/workmates apart without a lot of trouble, there's no reason to freak out about a bunch of strange Korean dudes. You got this!
CC is enabled right u can just read through it to understand what they r saying!! BTS has 4 vocalists n 3 rappers. They sing, dance, rap. Also they have main hand behind making of thse music like writing lyrics, compositing n sometimes producing the beats too
If you're watching official MVs, the captions are done by the label and are accurate. Also, as long as you include the intro from the label, you will not be blocked for copyright -- they encourage people to do these kinds of reactions. They do sometimes have a problem if you have too many songs in a single video... so break up your reactions into different videos. Enjoy!
@@raypedia I think they're not always completely accurate because they sometimes, for the sake of timing, aren't nuanced enough (and sometimes they translate directly idioms or sayings, so they're not easy to understand). More complete translations like Doolset Bangtan, Colin on Twitter or even Genius are better
hello! i’d like to say some things….you already pointed this out but yes, bts is a 7 member group and they are from south korea. they debuted on june 12th, 2013 (korean time). the members are rm, jin, suga, jhope, jimin, v, and jungkook. they have 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. the rappers are rm, suga, and jhope and the vocalists are jungkook, jimin, v, and jin. and yes they all dance, but they do have an official dance line with 4 out of the 7 members which are jhope, jimin, jungkook and v. the ones you liked were jimin (blonde hair in dna, gray hair in dynamite, and pink hair in boy with luv) and jin (black hair in dna, brown hair in dynamite, and gray hair in boy with luv). if you are willing to get into bts a lil more, i recommend watching the bts introduction 2021 updated version video. it gives you information on not only the group themselves, but also gives you information on each member. btw the songs you reacted to were plain pop which is definitely not what bts usually do. they’ve done a ton of genres in the past 8 1/2 years of their careers. songs like black swan, singularity (v solo), house of cards (vocal line song), tomorrow, just one day, 24/7=heaven, are rnb. they have plenty more songs in that genre. also songs like mic drop, tear (rap line song), n.o, no more dream (debut song), we are bulletproof (p1 and 2), hip hop lover/phile, are hip hop. and songs that i would like recommend and that are liked mixed genres are fake love, on, idol, anpanman, spring day (my favorite song by them), mikrokosmos, dionysus, film out, and their most recent my universe (coldplay’s song feat bts). this was a lot and i usually don’t type like this but i was like, might as well give some info on em. i hope you continue reacting to them tho!
The SNL performance of Boy with luv is my fave, they made history that night. They also do Mic drop and the dance break at the end that night was amazing and Jimin was fire
THe blond dude in DNA (that you liked) is Jimin, he had light brown hair in Dynamite (light blue denim jacket and jeans, and also a green satin bomber jacket and dark jeans) and sang the part you liked - you asked who sang that part…And Jimin has pink hair in Boy With Love - it’s a rather iconic colour for him 😂🤷♂️…Their hair changes, often. But if you watch and listen, you will start to recognise their voices, and their faces - Army can distinguish them by the way they move, their laugh, the back of their heads…etc 😂😂 The other dude you said you liked, in Boy With Love, is Jin - he is the eldest, and has just had his 29th birthday on 4th December. Both Jimin (Jimin is the lead vocalist) and Jin are vocalists (there are four vocalists), the other two are Jungkook (he started Dynamite, and had a donut in his hand at one point) - he is the main vocalist and the youngest member, born September 1997, and the last vocalist is Taehyung or V (stage name), the one whom you remarked had a deep voice in DNA. The other three members are rappers, although they do occasionally sing too - they are Yoongi/Suga (stage name), Namjoon/RM (stage name) - he is also the official leader of the group and is fluent in English, and Hobi/JHope (stage name). The three rappers are the main song writers, composers, and producers amongst the members, although all of them have written, composed, and produced, plus there are other songwriters and producers that they work with. Their songs are usually in Korean, with some English phrases, but they have released three songs that are fully in English. They all dance brilliantly, but there are two main dancers - Hobi and Jimin - and Jungkook is pretty spectacular too, these three have some dance performances together, and they are known as the 3J’s (JHope, Jimin, Jungkook). Enjoy your journey, and be prepared to fall in love with BTS (it stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan, or Bulletproof Boy Scouts in English) - they tend to steal hearts, and then come for your soul 🤷♂️💜💜 New sub from South Africa 🇿🇦
We ARMY always make sure to help with information regarding the boys (as we call them) whenever we see someone new getting lost. Don't worry, ask whatever you want, we got your back. Just keep it respectful as you've been doing. ARMY receives with open arms anyone who shows respect towards the boys and their hard work. @AllBlu I was gonna answer her but then I saw your comment and well, you did it brilliantly. Borahae 💜💜💜 PS: There are a lot of videos out there with "Introduction to BTS" on them. You can separate the good ones from the not so good by the comments. ARMY are usually very loud when we like things.
@@sydaus3367 np, most of us love sharing info about BTS, and talking about them and their music - if you ever have questions, please ask, there is bound to be someone who will know the answer 💜💜
Boy with Luv got me hooked like a crack addict 😂 one of the ones you pointed out, Jimin, he was curly blond in DNA and had orange hair in boy with luv, that man manages to be savagely sexy and yet incomprehensibly shy/sweet/innocent at the same time. His vocal range is stratospheric and he does this, trust me, go watch the link below, 2 mins. Welcome to the family 💜 ruclips.net/video/FpAAwkLfsmg/видео.html
These are definitely more of their bright, pop songs -- which are super fun! :) To really understand this group, though, you need to watch about....20 music videos. They are incredibly versatile. Maybe check out: - Black Swan - ON Kinetic Manifesto - Fake Love Also -- you might enjoy their Tiny Desk concert. They perform Dynamite live along with two other, older songs.
BTS debuted as a HIP HOP group in 2013. There are 2 underground hardcore rappers in the group. They branches from hip hop into pop, rock, edm, R & B, trap and soul. Their verality is a major reason that they are so loved. Oh, and they wrote their stuff and produce it too. They are known for their deep lyrics(which wasn't showcased in these songs tbh).
Everybody always thinks they're going to be able to rely on hair color to tell them apart when they first encounter BTS. But then they realize that the boys change hair colors almost as much as they change clothes 😂. Don't worry... it can feel overwhelming at first because us westerners aren't used to the kpop dynamic. It's even more so with BTS because they are a whole other level. Their lyrics are often very deep and have multiple meanings. It's good to watch an explanation video with some of them because they have references to Korean culture that we wouldn't be aware of. But... it doesn't take long to get where you can not only name all of them, but can also cite random bits of trivia about them. Thanks for giving them a chance! Hope you continue to look into them.
I felt overwhelmed a bit at first as well, but that just made me re-watch it so that I could focus in the lyrics and know what was being said. I reccomend you watch it first to see the video, dancing, storyline, and hear the song, and watch again with subtitles so you understand it better. Can't expect yourself to take everything in 100% all at once when you're new to them! BTW, DNA is my favorite song by them. It was the song and video which I realized I was hooked on them- officially a BTS Army member! I learned about them for the first time Sept 26 2020. My 3 fave albums are Love Yourself: Answer, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever, and Map of the Soul 7. Masterpieces. My initial bias was to V- who has Blue hair in DNA, and Jungkook- he started DNA whistling. But after learning about the members and their personalities by watching RUclips videos with clips of them I fell for Suga! The blonde members with the full lips is Jimin-- he's a sensual, cute, nurturing guy-- so lovable and strikingly sexy/sensual-- he caught my attention quickly too! They're really amazing humans and are so funny and intelligent and relatable and humble and talented as hell! They move me to tears even not understanding most of the lyrics. I've learned some Korean words since becoming a fan. I can't express the amount of love I have for them. I encourage you to look into RUclips videos about them and learn what you can, and download the Weverse app if you want to access new content and send and receive messages from them on there- milking of fans, not likely they'll see your comment, but they could! They comment on as many fan posts as they can which is super sweet of them. Their variety show RunBTS is amazing, & hilarious and such a joy to watch-- I recommend you check it out if you're a new fan interested in learning about them!
Jimin is the blonde one. Liked that you hang in there for DNA, that song really is overwhelming for newbies. For me I started with Dope not too colorful.
Halsey was in the chorus through the song. Check out Suga's interlude with Halsey. They do 2 songs with their collaboration artists. Also, they gave her a microphone like theirs. They each have decorated mics.
I´ve discovered BTS like 3 months ago and now I am really obsessed with...:) It was so easy to fall in love with them (so good dancers, singers and adorable personalities)!
Kpop isn't a genre it's an industry. And like western pop you can have different genres. They have a base in hiphop, but they hit many different genres. Now you have listened to some their most poppies songs. And their performances are more whole.
I was really the same on my first few times listening: How will I ever know them apart? But now I cannot understand how I could not tell them apart. It grows on you so fast.
Bts have been together for 8 years now like they have accepted each other and their flaws and grown together so all of them are more than besties like real family 🥺💜
yeah trying to learn their names and who is who by hair color is the hardest way because they always change it. speaking from experience, you just have to lock yourself in your room for a few days and binge watch all of their videos and watch compilations for each member and then you will be able to know them all. first glance of them seems hard to know them apart but it really is easy they are all so different when you get to know them so it helps
That's awesome that you can see how close they are. They're more than best friends, they're all like brothers. When they first started when they were really young, at one point all shared one room when they first started out. They'e been through so many hardships (there's a RUclips video about their past hardships) that brought them all close. It's a brotherhood. You should also watch This is BTS on RUclips as well if you want to learn more about them.
BTS has one of the best vocal lines. BTS has the best rapline(although they can sing too) in kpop. Jimin and Jhope are the best dancers in S. KOREA. BTS songs have usually deep meanings.
Jimin is Dance king who got National award And don't spread invalid poll winning first search if it's real becz the one ur mentioning is Nubia site that site is fake made by v solos to get king of kpop & dance one for hope.. They're already exposed still they don't have shame to celebrate
I know that 7 members can seem like a lot but the one thing you must understand is that they dance. Their music is one thing but their live dance performances really demonstrate why having a group of seven is important. They do amazing formations and beautiful in-sync dances that simply 3 or even 5 people could not pull off in the same manner. And this is just the surface. Once you get into their chemistry and music/performance/BU making process, you will understand how all the members fit into the act that is BTS. I'm excited to follow your journey! I got really into the group back when I was 16, over four years ago and I'm still a huge fan! Your reaction is very nostalgic for me because the DNA era (Love Yourself: Her) was the first time I really got into the group. I had heard of them when they dropped "Fire" in 2016 but their live performance of "Gogo" really sold it to me. It's kinda funny because "Gogo" has a pretty comical dance. OOO sorry, went down memory lane for a second. ANYWAYS... great reaction! Army purples you!
I know it can be very overwhelming when you start your BTS journey, I love that you already want to get to know each member so soon into your journey. Also I understand that to begin with hearing them sing in Korean then switching up to English in parts can be hard to get used to but I promise you as you go down the rabbit hole (if you decide to continue) you will soon get used to it, reading lyrics and watching them sing and dance will become second nature. Don’t feel like you can’t stop more during videos and going back to catch things you’ve missed, as ARMY (the name of BTS’ fandom) i can vouch for the rest of us that we don’t mind longer videos from reactors 😄
I love these fellows dearly and I'm glad to see another person learning how awesome they are too. One thing that I will say, mainly because I've noticed that quite a few Western reactors do it, don't worry too much about not understanding the language. I've been following BTS for a couple of years now and there are still quite a few songs of theirs that I haven't read the captions for yet. Take your time. Diving into their work is such a fun journey. They're so poetic. There's so many details in their work so if you like something you'll probably go back and watch it again anyway. For me half the fun is taking in their energy, styles, and how playful they are.
You are me a year ago discovering them!! 😂 So cute! I love how happy dynamite made you! lol It's so fun watching others discover BTS for the first time and loving it!!
the english lyrics on the music videos are usually official (if they're not, it'll say "English (auto-generated)" when you turn CC on; just "English" means they're official), so they're translated correctly
This was fun 😂 In kpop, basically all songs are mostly in Korean with parts in English. Also, you CANNOT trust the hair color to recognize each one. It changes dramatically, sometimes more than one in the same MV. Annnnd the two guys you talked about were Jimin (blond hair in the first two videos, orange in the third, the one with high notes), and the other one is Jin (he's a vocalist too, and I think he was mostly brunet in all three videos? Yeah)
The captions on their videos are correct. So long as when you turn them on and they DONT say "auto generated" they will have proper translations. BTS' fans "Army" translate their music.
BTS and Halsey have remained good friends who gift each other often. They try to meet up when the boys are in the US. Stick with them and you'll start being able to tell who's who by just their shadows. All 7 have unique personalities. You will find something to love about each one. They change their hair color often. Sometimes in the same video.
i loved this reaction, it fills my heart with warmth everytime i see someone discovering bts cause i know they're about to fall in love with them and have their life changed for the better. your reactions were so cute, i can't wait to watch your other videos and see how you go through this journey
today is taehyung’s birthday! (26 years old) and the first one to sing in DNA. I hope you get to appreciate them as much as ARMY do and would love to follow on your journey if you continue!
Her: I can only handle 3 names Me: laughs in NCTS 23 members I know it seems like a lot of members and when I got into kpop I had trouble remembering all of Twice's 9 members but now I can name them all to with ease. I recommend looking at some guides to know them better and be able to tell them apart. I am not even an army (BTS fans) but I can tell them apart since they all look very different so I think after some while u will be able to tell them apart too. Also if reading the subtitles while watching the mv is overwhelming 4 u I recommend just watching the video first without captions and then watching it again with captions to understand the lyrics. I have heard a lot of Kpop songs and sometimes I don't like them on first listen since there is so much going on with the mv but I have seen anime with subtitles since I was a kid back in Asia so I am kind of used to it.
Sometimes I watch a music video twice, once to watch the video and a second time to focus on lyrics. It helps a lot. You'll get faster reading subtitles with time though. I had the advantage of having read them nonstop for 10 years already when i found kpop
I got here through your spring day reaction - I cried with you and now I'm here for the ride 🙈 this was great to recover from the emotional mess I was in earlier & I'm looking forward to catching up with your reactions 🤗
Yeah..I wish reactors (first time) would stop wishing BTS music was in english...ppl never wish American artists music was in their language...they just enjoy it as is
Agreed. Her reaction was good for The most part as someone completely new to BTS but very typical I think. I always get a little turned off when reactors always comment that they enjoy the English songs more because “they can understand it.” They’re clearly not an english speaking band…they’re Korean so why expect going into it knowing English isn’t their first language? I completely respect and understand people’s preferences but when people start of with that right away I simply can’t understand it especially if reactors are choosing to watch BTS for the first time etc. And honestly we as fans, know their Korean songs are a lot more nuanced than their English ones that are fun & catchy but clearly meant for western consumption. I don’t see songs like “La Vie en Rose” and other prominent non English songs getting the same kind of treatment. Also…the translations are perfectly fine. But as someone who’s just watched this for the first time I can completely understand how overwhelming it is. I just wish some people were more open minded especially with non English acts. I was the same in beginning thinking “oh 7 is a lot” but I wasn’t jarred by it and after watching more videos and getting to know them you realize why 7 is perfect.
Just to chime in here - i came in not expecting English songs at all and then I was kind of confused when I heard random English words mixed in and then realizing that they also have English and Korean songs. I honestly didnt know anything about them, so all of my commentary was my honest reaction and trying to figure out what they were doing (English, Korean, dancing, singing, 7 people and who was actually singing). I just want to be clear (and hopefully this is clear in the video) that yes, I saw that the song was in English and that was less overwhelming for me, but also I liked all 3 songs and appreciated them! English or not😊 hopefully that makes sense!
"the most beautiful life goes on" by "the asian theory" is the best introduction video in my opinion. it starts all the way from the beginning when the group just formed.
Thanks for your reaction. BTS has 3 songs in English and hundreds songs in Korean. Hope you check and react another BTS songs. - Fake Love - On (Kinetic Manifesto) - Mic Drop BTS English songs - Butter - Permission to Dance.
If you want an introductory video, The Rise of Bangtan is the way to go. It's a fanmade docuseries, and it is so absolutely fantastic, and beautifully put together. It tells you their story from their own words. I can't recommend it enough. Even for non fans, it is just a fantastic work
I'm just at the start of your reaction but I can tell your getting drawn in lol, I'm 38 a mom of 3 clicked the Butter video and was pulled in! They are incredible artist and wonderful humans!
Hi, thank you for getting into them and checking them out. I am what you call a multi Stan so I like multiple groups even though BTS is like my ultimate group. I really liked your reaction and its so funny to me as a person who likes multiple groups to hear you say that 7 is a lot of members. Which is common to someone who is new to this world. Tbh to me when I get into groups now I am so glad that there is like only 7 or 8 members because I like groups with 13 and 11 members and there is a group called not with 23 members too its just so funny to me. But I hope to see more of your reaction it was really fun.
The one you were talking about in the first mv was Jimin the blond one and in dynamite the voice you were talking about was also jimin and in boy with luv it was jin
Im a bts fan too..i love jimin..but theres another boy group in the philippines called sb 19. They are so cool.. The harmonization, vocals, and dance skill.. Sooo great! They are now In the #1 in billboard. Watch thier peformance in Round asia korean festival. Its amazing!
4:17 No it's just a disco-pop song. K-POP is an industry not a genre. K-POP can simply mean popular music of/in Korea it doesn't define the genre of a song. The western industry often uses the term K-POP to box in/generalize Korean artists/music. So that is why, for example, BTS could do a full on metal song but a lot of people will just go "ah it's just K-POP" or they find it so hard to believe that BTS could make such music because of the preconceived knowledge they have of K-POP being "Just bubble-gum poppy music" which over the years we've come to see that this is far from the truth. I'm not sending any hate, I'm really not. I'm just sharing a little info. I hope this helps
Yes agree 👆and no hate intended. Dynamite is fully in English and written entirely by western writers so I don’t get why many people still say it’s Kpop just because Koreans sing it. Hope you dive in more and find out why this group has inspired millions worldwide across cultures and generations.
I think you sorted their songs by how popular they are, so you ended up with their most pop songs 😅 I don't know your taste in music, but there's definitely everything for everyone in their catalog. I'm talking hardcore rap to soulful ballads. They've got all. They're talented beyond our imagination.
Yes! I did because I didn’t know where to start. I definitely want to check out some of their different styles of music. I like pop, but I really like rap and ballads too!
@@LexListens mic drop, ugh live with lyrics, ddaeng live with subs, outro: Tear live with subs, for rap songs. ‘The truth untold’, House of cards, your eyes tell for ballads. Of course the live versions with eng subs. Since these are b side tracks they don’t have MVs.
"Cup of milk let's rock and roll" in Dynamite is a reference to Jungkook (who sings that line) rly liking milk. I know that sounds like a weird reference but it's been one of his things since they debuted. I could be wrong abt this, I remember hearing about it from other ARMYs on twitter so my source is literally "oomf said so" but yeah
Not sure if someone already answered your questions but the blond you liked in DNA is Jimin, he's our main dancer and lead singer and known to attract new fans in the group 😂 the member you pointed out in Boy with Luv is Jin (Seokjin) he's a vocalist and the oldest member of the group. Jimin was also the interesting voice you asked about in Dynamite 😊 when they're dancing, the member who's singing is in the center of the choreography. That's an easy way to identify who's singing that part 😊
I'll preface my comment by saying Jimin is my ultimate bias, but Jimin is not the lead singer. I've seen multiple videos of multiple members stating that Jungkook is the lead singer. Jimin is A lead but not THE lead. I just want the correct information out there.
@@LittleBrassPegasus Jimin is the lead singer! In Kpop main is the "first" and lead is the "second" in command :) Jungkook is a main vocalist and Jimin is the lead and Jin and Taehyung are sub vocalists
@@LittleBrassPegasus jungkook is the MAIN vocalist. Jimin is the LEAD vocalist.V and Jin are the SUB vocalists. RM is the MAIN rapper. J-Hope and Suga are the LEAD rappers. Jungkook also is a SUB rapper and J-Hope a SUB vocalist. (Main>Lead>Sub)
That office clip as the EDM hit. LOL 😆 whenever anyone discovers kpop the switch up mid song always gets them. Additionally don't rely on the hair colours of their hair for too long it always changes depending on what song/ album their promoting.
5:49 it was english, one song can contain multiple languages but yes some words in korean also sound like some words in english but that is just how languages work, borrowing words or having similar ones
Someone might've already said this considering this was a year ago but their relationship with Halsey is so sweet, she speak so kindly of them. Also she made friendship bracelets for them :')
Please check out Blood sweat & tears, fake love and mic drop. You'll be blown away by how versatile and deep their music is. If you want an introduction video, “An introduction to the 7 members of BTS by Ida S”, and “ A story of BTS 2021 update “ by Asian theory to know about the group as a whole.
The only way to tell the BTS members apart is you know.... by their faces. But that's only if you take the time to look into them. At this point I can tell them apart by the back of their heads, but then again I'm full-on ARMY
seven members of a group is kind of normal in Korea. there is also a group with thirteen members called seventeen (13 members in tree sub groups and one group) they are good too but most of the kpop groups are good
Boy with love mv is the version bts sing live and Halsey can't always be there to perform with them so there's not much of Halsey in it but the audio version she sings more in...also the blonde in first video is Jimin he was a darker blonde in the second and the pink hair in the third song...the second person you said you like is Jin...dont try to use their hair color to tell them apart because they constantly change their hair color...I giggled when you said u were going to try and tell them apart that way lol...and bts has 3 rappers RM, Suga, and JHope, and 4 vocalists Jimin, Jungkook, V and Jin
It's funny about the whole milk thing in the morning. I'm korean but I lived in New Zealand for 26 years and I use to just drink milk whenever I wanted. My mum told me to drink milk if I wanted to grow taller lol. My friends would only have milk with their cereal, coffee or tea. That's it. Never drink it straight in a cup. The irony of it is you see it in movies time after time where a person gets up in the middle of the night and drinks milk straight out of the carton or leaving milk for santa along with cookies but noone I know actually does it. I always saw people buying liters of milk in the supermarket and thought that's why they were so tall. How naïve I was back then...lol
you should really react to ‘Butter’ since you enjoy the english tracks a lot!! it’s their biggest english song and it is such an incredible song, you should check it out! it was the longest song in 2021 to sustain the #1 spot on the Billboard charts.
I’m starting here and looking forward to seeing your journey unfold. I was like you in the beginning, wishing their songs were in English. That didn’t last long though as I now treasure their Korean and Japanese songs, probably more than the English ones (which are still wonderful)
Pretty much all of their songs have a bit of English in them. If you want full English songs, then check out Butter, Dynamite, Permission to Dance. However, it's not fair to expect English songs since they are a Korean group. The group has 3 rappers (RM, Suga, J-Hope) and 4 vocalists (Jimin, V, Jungkook, Jin). In the Dynamite vid, the members in order based on solo parts are Jungkook (makne-youngest member, singer), RM (leader of group, rapper), J-Hope (rapper, dance leader), Jimin (singer), V (singer), Suga (rapper), Jin (singer, oldest member).
the word for a mix of korean and english is konglish! and yes lots of kpop music uses bits of english, bts actually has a few fully english songs out too such as butter and dynamite!
"I really like the blonde one." "Who sang that part?!" Jimin snatches them fast! 😆
He does😂😍
And another one! 🤣 Chim Chim is the bait AND the closer.
Once you Jimin you can't Jimout
I was screaming in excitement when she said that 😂😂😂😅
Jimin also got me right away!!!
That is so helpful! Thank you!! I did have a hard time seeing who was singing😅😂
I’m 61 and discovered them a year ago from my youngest daughter. I watch them on RUclips everyday. They do English also. If you watch them daily, you will fall in love with them❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm 45 years old... and i agree with you
I totally agree with you...I found these lovely babies in 2018 and I am almost 60 now!
I’m 59 and recently introduced to them by my young niece and fell into their world! I’m watching them everyday too! 💕
I find it slightly annoying she keeps saying they should sing in English. Like everything should be made for English speakers.
YES. It's very annoying when some English speakers ask for English songs, like... they're Korean 😩
I AGREE HE DA BOMB!! 💣💣
(idc if I'm cringe watch turning red if u think I'm cringe)
Korean is a beautiful language but also very old and very detailed. When it's translated to English, It may seem like the translations are incorrect based on them saying less and the captions being long, or them saying something long and the captions being shorter. If that makes sense. On official music videos or videos put out by Hybe the translations are correct because they have an in house team that puts them on the videos. An example of syllables in Korean to English would be Thank You with 2 in English but with 4 in Korean 감사합니다 (gam sa ham nida). Hope this comment helps/makes sense lol.
That makes a lot of sense!
Also, do not remember who’s who by their hair colours because they do change it every comeback 🤣
Please react to the introduction to BTS by Ida S. It’s the best one out there imo and the most up to date one.
oh god your profile picture
@@ninaddemaio Absolutely beautiful isn’t it 😏
Ok to be fair it’s worse than changing every comeback, they have changed colors in the same video before.
I prefer The Rise of Bangtan series…
@@ItsMeAnn628 i think its a good series when you already know the members and know a little bit abt bts.
12:38 his name is Jimin. He has the most unique voice. Also He's the blond guy you mentioned in DNA mv.
(The Persona in the back is more than the Album title.)
Both "D.N.A." and "Boy with luv" (not be confused "Boy in luv") are beginning of a storyline/concept.
VERY well said!

Thank you!! I will definitely check it out❤️
The SNL performance of Boy with luv is my fave, they made history that night.
Enjoy your journey, and be prepared to fall in love with BTS (it stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan, or Bulletproof Boy Scouts in English) - they tend to steal hearts, and then come for your soul 🤷♂️💜💜

These are definitely more of their bright, pop songs -- which are super fun! :)
To really understand this group, though, you need to watch about....20 music videos. They are incredibly versatile.
Maybe check out:
- Black Swan
- ON Kinetic Manifesto
- Fake Love
Also -- you might enjoy their Tiny Desk concert.
"I like the blond one, I don't know why." So you chose Jimin 💜 once you Jim-in you can't Jim-out ;)
Honestly I’m marrying Jin but I’m in love with Jimin😍🤪 can’t i have both?😂
@@LexListens yes, we can share 💜😄
I was really the same on my first few times listening: How will I ever know them apart?
But now I cannot understand how I could not tell them apart. It grows on you so fast.
They are besties. They still live together after 10 years. Their bond is unlike anything I have ever seen. I am 70 years old and I can't get enough.
I just googled each and stared at each of them for like 30 minutes and tried to make out their features.
Tl;dr: I was stupid. 💀
Jin and Jimin captured your heart..
By the Jin is my bias and he is the power vocal of the group.
Jimin is Dance king who got National award
And don't spread invalid poll winning first search if it's real becz the one ur mentioning is Nubia site that site is fake made by v solos to get king of kpop & dance one for hope..

The blonde hair is Park jimin he's agoid dancer and sings so lovely he has an angelic voice 😍
BTS also has many Dance Practice videos on RUclips. Their choreography is phenomenal!🥰💜🥰
This was fun 😂
In kpop, basically all songs are mostly in Korean with parts in English.
Yes, I am planning on watching more videos by them!!
' I like the blonde one' thats the Jimin effect...... Once u jimin in u can't jimin out💜
Her: I can only handle 3 names
Me: laughs in NCTS 23 members
I know it seems like a lot of members and when I got into kpop I had trouble remembering all of Twice's 9 members but now I can name them all to with ease.
Yeah they have 3 rappers and 4 vocalist
The joy it brought me when you turned on captions right away 🥰 You wouldn't believe the number of reactors who don't think to do that!
You should look at NCT is you want a huge group. There are I believe 23 members currently?
Sometimes I watch a music video twice, once to watch the video and a second time to focus on lyrics. It helps a lot. You'll get faster reading subtitles with time though. I had the advantage of having read them nonstop for 10 years already when i found kpop
I got here through your spring day reaction - I cried with you and now I'm here for the ride 🙈 this was great to recover from the emotional mess I was in earlier & I'm looking forward to catching up with your reactions 🤗
Welcome to the fam💜
I'm happy that you continued when you felt overwhelmed 😍. Thank you for sharing the reactions!
Music is Music, no matter if its in english or not!!!!!😠😠😠. Their Music and lyrics wich are well translated, are so amazing🙆🙆
Yeah..I wish reactors (first time) would stop wishing BTS music was in english...ppl never wish American artists music was in their language...they just enjoy it as is
Agreed. Her reaction was good for
The most part as someone completely new to BTS but very typical I think.

"7, that's a lot of them"
*NCT, Seventeen, Treasure, The Boyz, etc enter the chat*
BTS writes and produce their own music and songs except Dynamite and PTD.
I think you sorted their songs by how popular they are, so you ended up with their most pop songs 😅
I don't know your taste in music, but there's definitely everything for everyone in their catalog.
Yes, Jungkook loves his banana milk!
They are amazingly very talented group. They can sing, rap, dance, play musical instruments, producers and song writers.
*"ONCE YOU JIMIn YOU CAN'T JIMOUT* #JIMIN EFFECT 🥰
Very nice reaction. Appreciate you taking a chance with them 💜
2:38 “7 that’s so many”
nct with 23 members: 🧍♀️
At the beginning of DNA your dog was in the background tilting its head cause of the whistling.😆
😂😂
12:38 jimin the one you said you liked (the blonde one in DNA) sang this part... love him sm omg his voice is the most beautiful unique voice ever
That office clip as the EDM hit. LOL 😆 whenever anyone discovers kpop the switch up mid song always gets them.
Additionally don't rely on the hair colours of their hair for too long it always changes depending on what song/ album their promoting.
In Dynamite you asked who sang that high note… it was Jimin. Same guy (the blonde) from the DNA.
5:49 it was english, one song can contain multiple languages but yes some words in korean also sound like some words in english but that is just how languages work, borrowing words or having similar ones
Yaaah! Thank you for choosing to explore the artistry of BTS! :]
Someone might've already said this considering this was a year ago but their relationship with Halsey is so sweet, she speak so kindly of them. Also she made friendship bracelets for them :')
There's 7 of them... That's so many
Me sitting here thinking about NCT, Seventeen ECT. Girl you have no idea 😂
DNA has been my ringtone since 2020 when I discovered BTS
Please check out Blood sweat & tears, fake love and mic drop. You'll be blown away by how versatile and deep their music is. If you want an introduction video, “An introduction to the 7 members of BTS by Ida S”, and “ A story of BTS 2021 update “ by Asian theory to know about the group as a whole.
"I could watch them dance all day"
Gurl, same.
The only way to tell the BTS members apart is you know.... by their faces. But that's only if you take the time to look into them. At this point I can tell them apart by the back of their heads, but then again I'm full-on ARMY
seven members of a group is kind of normal in Korea. there is also a group with thirteen members called seventeen (13 members in tree sub groups and one group) they are good too but most of the kpop groups are good
Boy with love mv is the version bts sing live and Halsey can't always be there to perform with them so there's not much of Halsey in it but the audio version she sings more in...also the blonde in first video is Jimin he was a darker blonde in the second and the pink hair in the third song...the second person you said you like is Jin...dont try to use their hair color to tell them apart because they constantly change their hair color...I giggled when you said u were going to try and tell them apart that way lol...and bts has 3 rappers RM, Suga, and JHope, and 4 vocalists Jimin, Jungkook, V and Jin
one of its famous live performances, bts anpanman in mama 2018 japan is also recommendable~
I really want you to react to more BTS 💜🙏🏻
I need u (original ver)
Spring Day
Fake love
I believe it’s good set for next reaction🤞🏻
I like Butter more than Dynamite as it has BTS style(swag style).
Love watching first time reactions through someone else's eyes. Reminds me of when I found them.
Jimin is the one who dragged me in! check out ON Manifesto Film music video
you should really react to ‘Butter’ since you enjoy the english tracks a lot!! it’s their biggest english song and it is such an incredible song, you should check it out! it was the longest song in 2021 to sustain the #1 spot on the Billboard charts.
Hahahahaha!!!! "I don't know what they are saying" (while watching with captions are on!)
There are variety shows you can watch about bts. That's how most people get to know the members quickly.
In the Dynamite vid, the members in order based on solo parts are Jungkook (makne-youngest member, singer), RM (leader of group, rapper), J-Hope (rapper, dance leader), Jimin (singer), V (singer), Suga (rapper), Jin (singer, oldest member).
you've discovered the world's best boys!!!!
the word for a mix of korean and english is konglish! and yes lots of kpop music uses bits of english, bts actually has a few fully english songs out too such as butter and dynamite!
