My favourite DOF tune! An absolute classic. Can I ask a question if you don't mind? DOF is obviously DM, brutal DM, tech brutal DM, or whatever the genre may be! At the time did you guys listen to Black Metal? Obviously listening and feelings we get are subjective, the way the lyrics are timed against the flow of the riffs and maybe just the delivery, and the overall 'aura' for lack of a better word, feels to me there's some BM in the mix...
@@mikerauter1859 No I dont think any of us did too much at the time listen to B.M. It was the first time a second guitar was in the band. They were always a 3 pc before. I think Eric and myself as well as Jacoby, were in a much darker place lol, the music just came out that way .
@@jimmyt8047 thanks heaps for your reply, much appreciated. Personally sometimes I feel bands get hypertechnical and lose the darkness of DM. POTW just sounds sooo evil! It's perfect. Congrats again on your part in writing a classic.
Yep, I remember sittn on the couch with Erik writing this tune along with Jacoby. Good memories !

@@mikerauter1859 I thank you very much my brother !! Very kind words.
@@jimmyt8047 no worries bro! Every time someone enjoys this tune or tries to play these difficult riffs you can be very proud!
Jacoby! The Man! Keeping this Shit Alive! Bad Ass! Good to see, Hope the next album revisits the past. Top of the line brutality!
Almost sounds just like Erik.. I'd go see them live! R.I.P. Erik Lindmark. Great seeing deeds on the reduced to ashes Canadian tour years ago!
Everyone at that show is at least close to 40 we all grew up with this in the early and mid 90s
This was top metal late 90s and apparently still is , at least too me
Absolutely and only one band from Belarus Posthumous Blasphemer has ever gotten close to the sheer technical speed of Deeds of Flesh
Absolutely! I still listen to Deeds of Flesh on a regular basis 🤘🏽
Amazing!
Sick
hola bien metal , ya da ganas de estar en un concierto
HAIL DEEDS OF FLESH!
Damn, the guitar player on the right has longer hair then Ross Dolan.. 🤘🤘🤘
RIP Erik
Peerless musicianship and tightness of live playing.
Wow. Theyre great!
