Hey I have a deck build question that I would like your opinion on. What are your thoughts on cutting Fusion Destiny completely and running more board breakers/combo pieces (Like 1 Winged Kuriboh lv6, Imperms, TTT, etc)? What I've found is that if you do the main full combo, you don't need FD. And if you dump a lot of Destiny Heros, the 3 cards become dead in your deck. What I am testing is no FD and cutting Dystopia (WK lv6 can do burn damage if needed in time). I find that this route leaves you to go full combo and have extra cards in hand for CbtGrave, TTT, and whatnot. You only need poly to summon out DPE and it's in your main combo...if things go wrong, you can go into Bagooska. With that said do you think Fusion Destiny needs to be in the deck?
I would never ever cut fusion destiny from the deck, it is the best card of the deck. It is the extender and can be a starter all in one which is what makes decks like snake eye so powerful. I have plenty of combos showing off how to use fusion destiny if you already draw combo, plus if you already combo you are well off anyway and I would trade that for one dead card in hand. I am playing WKlv6 at the moment for a different reason that I will highlight when I make a profile. I am also testing another card which is almost extra copies of fusion destiny going 1st. So to answer your question, yes you must play fusion destiny in any competitive HERO deck and I love creativity, and thinking outside the box but anything less than 3 fusion destiny is wrong. Thank you for watching and asking the question though!
@BlakeHERO thanks again for the reply...I thought the situation over more, watched your combo video again, and realized that when you have Denier and WKlv6 in your deck, you can Fusion Destiny near the end of you combo for DPE. Along with all of the other combos, now I am seeing the value. Thank you very much!
@@commoncollector713 I'm glad you were able to learn something! Also of course if you are able to full combo you may see it as unnecessary but once you play a lot and realize how many games you get hand trapped to death and need the FD as an extender you will realize to never ever cut it and never play less than 3.

Hey Blake got a question, so I've spent more time in the lab cooking the side deck seeing if I can make some changes and one thing that bugs me is do we really need the talents? I am testing a revised version if your side deck but without the nibs, I freed up space and put in two cosmics and a duster. I am maining the 3 ashes and I have 2 drolls. Do you think we need Talents? It does help me out if I don't have any plays left if I get HT
Are you referring to thrust or tactics? Thrust was for the barrier and side patterns, talents is good but really only going 2nd. I don't think besides the mass clearing backrow removal cards unless your meta is full of runick variants, I don't love cosmic unless for your siding patterns you need it going 1st for tenpai but even then I don't love it since they are playing storms and duster. Nib is prolly necessary until a banlist because post side against the fiendsmith decks when they start you get ftked by searchable d barrier.
I guess the winged kuriboh didn't work out? Also how come for a second d hero fusion you don't play dangerous and then sidedeck dystopi to play in time?
Unfortunately could not fit him, I love him but it just does not fit. Dangerous did not come up for me once and I am very glad I did not play him. I do not even think he is super viable if you are playing double increase. There are just too many spots that could be that I don't find dangerous necessary. I don't like siding extra deck cards because there are so many cards we need to play to beat the meta and those just take up unnecessary slots in my opinion. Thank you for watching/commenting and asking the questions!
TTT would have been great for going 1st, but going 2nd with TTT is really hard vs DRNM. I don't find the card does enough going 2nd but it is a good going 1st card
Proud of you bro keep pushing hero forever its hard format for us fiend smith card are really good and droll is card that is hard play againts it but i really hope we will get good support in the SUPREME DARKNES set i really hope we get something for main cause we dont need extra deck monsters we just need the way to play around couple of hand traps my theroy if we get like a field spell for example who add a hero and poly and link 1 who special summon hero from deck will be like the way i see maybe field spell but link 1 maybe too op but we will se GOTCHA
Yeah I hope we get some evil HERO support that is not too broken but just helps compete a little bit better. It is most certainly a hard format at the moment but hopefully a banlist tones down the best decks just a tad for us to keep up too! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Definitely needed this! Sorry you didn't make it that far into nats Blake! Happens to the best of us. Even TSX1... I'll definitely take this list into consideration. I did notice that you cut the winged kuriboh out and the e-call for this one along with the 3 talents. For the extra deck I see you took out bagooska. I have a buddy of mine who ran a similar deck to yours when he got his nats invite but he replaced a-zero with dystopia. The side deck is where I see the most change. I see you replaced the Ashes with the Nibs and got rid of the set of evenly's and removed all but one d-barrier. It's a huge difference don't get me wrong but unfortunately due to my financial situation I do not have the cash for thrust as all of the funds is going towards Tenpai. If you got any recommendations for thrust alternatives please let me know! I will however run this deck through EDO before making any changes. But I will be picking up the rest of the staples.
I made a lot of changes just because of it being a new format with new cards that drastically change the playing field. A lot of things changed in my list but I think I make good points on all of them and if any of my choices aren't completely clear let me know how I can explain it better in the future. If you do not have thrust maybe try playing more raigeki in it's place. I was considering this to play around droll but kinda realized we lost if they had droll and full combo anyway. That would be my suggestion. I really appreciate you keeping up the discussion as well as watching my content!
@BlakeHERO Absolutely. With Nats being over I can already feel that the monsoon of SE Fiendsmith players coming to my locals and before switching over to Tenpai this is the deck I need to use until then. I'm definitely going to be picking up the cheap staples today since I do need them eventually. Best to get them sooner than later. Do follow up on this post nats when you go back to locals! We're already struggling as is against Fiendsmith haha However, one small change I would suggest for the extra deck is swapping A-zero with Bagooska. I find he's going to be more important in this post nats format now more than ever and having dystopia alongside him is better cause you can go for the win if tested for time. But we will sacrifice the follow up with miracle for A-zero but we can definitely follow up with Infernal to recycle the fav contact
@@jclau77 I mentioned that I would have swapped bagooska for 2nd Dark Law. Abz came up for me a few times against snake and needed that board wipe for sure in those games. I will do my best to keep updating with new content as the format progresses!
@BlakeHERO Appreciate it so much! Quick question though, with siding being as tight as it is and when you had to resort to heavy board breaking what cards did you side out a part of the 3rd stratos, neos, fav contact and eclipses? I'm kind of confused how you're able to fit that entire non engine side package into the deck without effecting the main engine. I need to know as we will definitely be seeing SE Fiendsmith this week and the following weeks to come
@@jclau77 I take out a decent bit of engine to fit in this stuff. I take out 1 stratos, 1 neos, 1 favorite contact and 3 eclipses as well as the two mask changes. I think that is the lowest you can go and still draw engine as well as enough nonengine
For this list I did not have either of those decks into consideration as they are not highly represented. My most recently list coming out I actually geared it to beat my locals and they are playing lots of shifter decks/ control decks. Maybe that will help!
@@fiatrees Lightning storms, cosmics, and really HERO does too much for those decks to stop. You should be able to power through their fields quiet easily
I had a list with two poly and I was playing trinity. The ED is way too tight I think and trinity prolly comes up not enough imo. Thank you for watching and please share/ subscribe!
Hey again Blake I actually have a question about your mindset going second. I know going first we try to get to end on DPE + Dark Law + Favorite Contact set (with another face down spell thanks to Wonder Driver) and possibly Dark Angel (post side going first). My question is what is the game plan going second? I usually kept Neos, Favorite contact in going second but Im starting to see that’s wrong. Is the going second gameplan End board wise, DPE + Plasma with maybe a Wake Up? Thanks in advance
It depends on the matchup, sometimes I will keep the neos + trap in. Going 2nd you can usually just setup exactly that and it is very powerful. Against certain decks you have to concede on some engine to fit the maximum amount of nonnengine to have a chance. Thank you for asking the question! Hope this helps!
Going 2nd for branded in a breaker deck is hard. Droplet does not even work if they know what they are doing cause they use Branded in Red to summon the albion under lost and in the summon window they use his effect to give you puppet and because of lost you can't respond. I did not think branded was going to be highly represented this event (I was right) and figured if I did play them and I win the roll then I am able to win that match. I know it's not the best answer but I hope this helps a bit! Deck building for any YCS/Nats is much different than locals deck building.
Awesome video Blake. What do you think about a 2nd Wake Up? I say this because we usually pop it with DPE going first. I’ve been loving having the 2nd copy for the crack back on Turn 3, using Wonder Driver to get back the Miracle Fusion when DPE comes back during Standby on Turn 2.
I think you can replace the ABZ with it if you would like but I really needed ABZ for some of my wins this weekend and Wake up would not have come up there
Excellent video Blake. What do you think about playing Maked Hero Divine Wind instead of Masked Hero Blast??, considering that you played against several tenpai decks where you could have limited the attack to only 1 per turn.
They will just go moonlight to bounce it, or black rose to wipe my field. It would not have come up and blast is just better to force negation and be able to play against Runick variants a lot better just in case cause they were popular this event!
Nice video man I think that this format is very hand trap heavy so you could use imperm and veiler also Evenly match could be an option since you are playing thrust lastly you could also run Daruma karma cannon
Yeah I just don't think those low impact hand traps really fit into the deck. I also don't really like evenly because it does not pair with the other breakers as well. Karma cannon is not as good as it used to be imo with fiendsmith adding another axis to the way they play. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hi bro, following you, im a beginner, what do you Side for usually ? Which card should I be rid off to switch with all the staples you showed (sorry for my english)
Showing all of my siding patterns would be an hour long video or an essay of a comment. Usually, I take out the droplets for the thrust package or the dark angel package. Going 2nd, I believe I discussed my siding patterns when I showed all of my cards when discussing the side deck. If you have any specific questions I can help a little bit better but with such a broad ask I unfortunately do not have the time to type all that up. Sorry bro but thank you for watching and commenting anyway!
I know you get hero locked on your turn but I would consider Bystials instead of droll. Or even just DD crow. Banishment is very important against fiendsmith. Sure they search a lot but even if you drill them they still play through it by summoning from the deck a lot and extending regardless.
I think D.D. Crow would have been very strong instead of droll. Bystials could be good too but losing the opportunity to hit flameberge or the branded fusion in gy means I would probably play crow. Also unlike nibiru they might not clear the bystials and not being able to give them a token on summon means you don't have a reliable way to crash them just in case. Thank you for the suggestion and watching/commenting!
@@BlakeHERO of course. You should be very proud regardless. I won a LCQ regional but then went x3 in the main event immediately 😂 Shit happens, even when we prepare. It’s still fun to play and see how far we can get. You’ll do it next time 💪

It's fine if you want to play it, just at the highest level of play adding another brick (dark calling) and the extra is really tight with the addition of fitting malicious bane. It really hurts to say that as these are some of my favorite cards ever. Hopefully in the upcoming set "Supreme Darkness" we get some cool Evil HERO support! Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@BlakeHERO I put the winged kuriboh and 1 mask change in side for the adusted gold and dark calling. I cut dark law to 1 to make space. My list is for going second because we already have a good turn 1 board.
Very interesting reasons and profile, Blake! Thank you for what you do for the community! Every HERO of us do what they can, and I am having a lot of struggle in this format! Until they ban Beatrice and or Apo it’s gonna be NIGHTMARE mode 😂 I can say that I agree on the DRNM in the main, but I do find Droll INFINITELY MID, whenever threw it never won a single game both to me or my opponent depending 😂 Like the Thrusts but I decided for the solemn judgments instead, at least to have some generic answer going first, especially to Tenpai. Hope this was helpful! I am always happy to share here :)
Yeah the droll needs to be another hand trap that would help stop the beatrice FTK post side. Thrusts were just nice because they could blend my engine and nonengine together 1st or 2nd, while judgment is only good going 1st. Thank you for watching and commenting as always man!
@@BlakeHERO I have been ashed on my thrust so many times it’s unbelievable 😭 But yeah I know judgment is kinda a one-axis, it’s just Tenpai so incredibly stupid I can’t 😂 maybe DBarrier would be better anyway against it. Thanks again for your content!
@@YukiHeroYGO Well if they ash thrust maybe your other things go through! I agree Tenpai is stupid and produces a lot of boring gameplay. D Barrier is much better against it because it is a lingering floodgate. No, thank you for watching!
I actually had ash instead of droll but I wanted another hand trap for specifically beatrice. If it were ash they would just use it to extend with Hitta. I am thinking maybe it should have been imperm. Thank you for watching and commenting as well as giving the suggestion anyway!
Day 1 round 6, I unfortunately did not day 2 this event. The link to the feature match is in the description! Thank you for the compliment as well as watching/commenting! Please share and subscribe if you have not already!

Yooooo Blake, don't worry, it is a toxic format, you did the best you can do,exspecialy with hero with NO HT. 6-3 for me is a good result, indeed im very happy for you. However Droll is a cancer card,i hate him so much
It is a really hard format but that does not mean I wasn't still gonna try. Yeah I don't think HTs are very good without them being high impact. I also hate droll but there are some ways to play around it especially going 1st. It is like Maxx C in a way where they build a huge board and then back it up with droll it is unbeatable. @@sOiCyMaRk115 hi dude! I use dragon shield over sleeves. If you watch my rarity collection celebration winning deck profile, I show them off there. Thank you for asking!
Foolish is insane, it is either an extender to dump one of the Destiny HEROs or a starter to dump shadow mist to grab faris that does not need your normal summon. I use to play E Call but I would never cut foolish
@@BlakeHERO Dumping shadow mist to me is a last case scenario; I want that in deck to summon off Wake Up for the Nib check, or to make DL in end phase, and i usually use Vyon to foolish a Mali, but I can see some use for it there for sure, cheers
@@JayF2912 Yes it is a worst case scenario when foolish is your only starter. I just like the fact this card has dual purposes. Makes it much more flexible than any of the other starter options in this spot except for prosperity but that card it worse going 2nd. Thank you for asking the question!
I’m not quite sure I understand your question, HERO is probably a tier 2/3 deck, yes but just because a deck does well at one event does not move it up any tiers or anything it’s based on continuous results generally. I hope this helps! I didn’t even day 2 to be fair so this was only a decent showing to me. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Even though evenly is not extremely popular or good in my opinion, right now, yes the deck has an answer to evenly post side. Giving them dark angel turns off evenly, also just guaranteeing you get to turn 3 cause you can't die after evenly is huge for the deck as you set up your follow up accordingly. Thank you for asking the question! Hope this helps
@@medexhd9646 Yes in very specific builds, we do not have the nonengine spots to be able to fit the crossout comfortably imo and we beat a good bit of hand traps already with some of the nonengine choices as well as correct sequencing

I'm definitely going to be picking up the cheap staples today since I do need them eventually. Best to get them sooner than later. Do follow up on this post nats when you go back to locals! We're already struggling as is against Fiendsmith haha
However, one small change I would suggest for the extra deck is swapping A-zero with Bagooska.
Hey blake can you talk about for more specific about your side deck selection like against floowandreeze and sky striker ?
For this list I did not have either of those decks into consideration as they are not highly represented. My most recently list coming out I actually geared it to beat my locals and they are playing lots of shifter decks/ control decks. Maybe that will help!
@@BlakeHERO could you give me some ideas ? Im playing against my sky striker and floowandreeze friends with heroes
@@fiatrees Lightning storms, cosmics, and really HERO does too much for those decks to stop. You should be able to power through their fields quiet easily
Hey Blake HERO, would you consider running Trinity this format
@@BlakeHERO Thanks again!!
What’s the best game plan going second vs branded? I also play droplet but it’s the old problem of you have to draw the out…
Going 2nd for branded in a breaker deck is hard.
I like this deck list, but what do you think about "trinity hero"?
Are you saying Vision HERO Trinity? I like him but the ED is wayyy too tight
I think you can replace the ABZ with it if you would like but I really needed ABZ for some of my wins this weekend and Wake up would not have come up there
@@BlakeHERO Fair enough!
@@BlakeHEROthanks a lot ❤
I won a LCQ regional but then went x3 in the main event immediately 😂
Shit happens, even when we prepare. It’s still fun to play and see how far we can get. You’ll do it next time 💪
@@zack_attack6040 I had a friend win an LCQ as well you should also be proud, I was very excited for him. Main event is a different beast, I appreciate the support man! Please share and subscribe if you have not already!
Any reason for not running the lv6 kuriboh? Read the written feature match. Lots of cool plays to learn from. Keep it up🤘
Really needed the space and it made sense to cut, I missed him once or twice but I wanted to go bare bones engine as much as possible
Would malicious bane be a good tech this format for tenpai and snake eyes?
It's fine if you want to play it, just at the highest level of play adding another brick (dark calling) and the extra is really tight with the addition of fitting malicious bane. It really hurts to say that as these are some of my favorite cards ever. Hopefully in the upcoming set "Supreme Darkness" we get some cool Evil HERO support! Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@BlakeHERO I put the winged kuriboh and 1 mask change in side for the adusted gold and dark calling. I cut dark law to 1 to make space. My list is for going second because we already have a good turn 1 board.
@@ThatDashinKid That can work too! I would still rather go 1st but you can definitely play those cards.
Very interesting reasons and profile, Blake! Thank you for what you do for the community! Every HERO of us do what they can, and I am having a lot of struggle in this format! Until they ban Beatrice and or Apo it’s gonna be NIGHTMARE mode 😂
I can say that I agree on the DRNM in the main, but I do find Droll INFINITELY MID, whenever threw it never won a single game both to me or my opponent depending 😂
Like the Thrusts but I decided for the solemn judgments instead, at least to have some generic answer going first, especially to Tenpai.
@@BlakeHERO I have been ashed on my thrust so many times it’s unbelievable 😭
But yeah I know judgment is kinda a one-axis, it’s just Tenpai so incredibly stupid I can’t 😂 maybe DBarrier would be better anyway against it. Thanks again for your content!
@@YukiHeroYGO Well if they ash thrust maybe your other things go through! I agree Tenpai is stupid and produces a lot of boring gameplay. D Barrier is much better against it because it is a lingering floodgate. No, thank you for watching!
@@BlakeHERO I will trust thrust more (hehe) but man this format *really* needs a banlist it’s so insane the gap between rogue and meta!
@@YukiHeroYGO Yes we do, I have not felt this gap since Tear format tbh.
would switch droll with ashblossom for branded match ups
I actually had ash instead of droll but I wanted another hand trap for specifically beatrice. If it were ash they would just use it to extend with Hitta. I am thinking maybe it should have been imperm. Thank you for watching and commenting as well as giving the suggestion anyway!
Hey did you Play the Feature match at day one or day two because i cant find it , youre amazing 😍
Day 1 round 6, I unfortunately did not day 2 this event. The link to the feature match is in the description! Thank you for the compliment as well as watching/commenting! Please share and subscribe if you have not already!
No Infinite Impermanence & Ash Blossom?
No those cards are way too low impact. Imperm was an option in my side instead of droll to stop beatrice but I decided not to play it. Thank you for watching/commenting! Please share/subscribe if you have not already!
Jeez those matchups 💀💀
Yeah... it was rough but I still did my best to keep my head high and find win conditions every game!
Thank you for watching and commenting
What up Blake Hero. What oversleeves do you use?
@@sOiCyMaRk115 hi dude! I use dragon shield over sleeves. If you watch my rarity collection celebration winning deck profile, I show them off there. Thank you for asking!
@@BlakeHERO thank you!
❤❤❤
I love the list, but the only thing I don't really agree with is the Foolish. What's your reasoning there?
Hes alot taller then I imagined in person
Thanks for signing my Sirocco this weekend. Huge fan!
Hey Blake HERO, everyone here (unlucky cringe format)
is this a blind going 2nd strategy?
No, you still want to go 1st
6 - 3? wouldnt that put you at a teir 2 or 3 power level?
I’m not quite sure I understand your question, HERO is probably a tier 2/3 deck, yes but just because a deck does well at one event does not move it up any tiers or anything it’s based on continuous results generally. I hope this helps! I didn’t even day 2 to be fair so this was only a decent showing to me. Thank you for watching and commenting!
does this deck have an answer to evenly?
Even though evenly is not extremely popular or good in my opinion, right now, yes the deck has an answer to evenly post side. Giving them dark angel turns off evenly, also just guaranteeing you get to turn 3 cause you can't die after evenly is huge for the deck as you set up your follow up accordingly. Thank you for asking the question! Hope this helps
@@BlakeHERO yeah thank you, appreciate it! also recently switched to angel back in the main, worked surprisingly well so far
@@medexhd9646 It's fine in the main if you know your matchups for sure
@@BlakeHERO have you considered playing crossout?
@@medexhd9646 Yes in very specific builds, we do not have the nonengine spots to be able to fit the crossout comfortably imo and we beat a good bit of hand traps already with some of the nonengine choices as well as correct sequencing
Hi blake im here since day 1, asking always for a neos profile, thnk x content lov u and your channel ❤
I really appreciate the support! Unfortunately don't think I will ever play Neos bro, I apologize. So glad you enjoy the content!
Yo dude. I tested 3x Dark Core main deck. To get rid of our bricks. I have to say: wow. It’s fcking amazing. Greetings
Huh, that's an interesting tech. I think it might be too low impact imo with the limited number of tech spots we have but that seems really neat
