In the process of quitting. My last cigarette was 22 hours ago and i want one so badly. I used to think smoking was so trashy but after a time I got over it cuz it really does help to calm me down. But I'm quitting becuz its the thing to do. Ill just have to go back to be an anxious awkward wreck like I was before, sigh.
Kailyn Anderson good luck quitting smoking, my husband used the patches, he got the strongest one and slowly cut strips off until he had nothing but a sliver left, he couldn't do it cold turkey, so if you're having trouble, you might consider using an alternative method to wean yourself off of cigarettes.
Her nana makes some beautiful socks. My nana tried to teach me how to knit, but I was only 9 years old, and had my leg in traction at the time, so had no patience. She was trying to give me something to do since I couldn't get out of bed. My leg was broken in a horse riding accident. It's OK now, and has been for years. (Jan Griffiths).

If you're going to hang around and sit on people like that, the least you could do is apologize or give them a positive acknowledgement like Black Friday did. Jenna Shea that is exactly how Shelly Duvall smoked in The Shining. I didn't notice it until some years later when I started smoking. I know she isn't starting to smoke, she just had it in this video for fun, but it's also the same way almost everyone smokes when they first start. Looking back at how unenjoyable it was at the time and how we got nothing out of it really, I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to kick myself for not just saying "This is gross, f*ck this I'm not wasting money". :-)
We all have some non-goth, non-emo, non-punk things we love. We keep it quite, but we have them. Metal has been my favorite genre since I was an early teen, but I fucking love Sinatra & Winehouse (and the Golden Girls).

My parents started taking me to a psychiatrist when my step-father read my diary behind my back and saw that I had drawn a picture of him with his head cut off. lol It was pretty graphic! He deserved it though because he was very abusive, and made my childhood a living hell. My psychiatrist diagnosed me with manic depression and prescribed me Paxil. At that time, it wasn't known that kids who take antidepressants are at a higher risk for suicide. It helped me, but it made me extremely manic. I believe my doctor knew deep down that if my mom left my step-father, I would be fine. But she didn't, so remained on the meds, and I still am at thirty-five.
I like gothic fashion but I also the like the japanese fashion sweet lolita so sometimes I'm so confused because I dont know if I want to be cute or if I want to be dark and scary XD

I actually really love her outlook on this lifestyle. It's always seemed to me like any culture or subculture have these "rules" for being "genuine" while simultaneously preaching free expression. I agree that if you want to dress in goth fashion and listen to Hannah Montana music (or any combination of interests), because it makes you happy... DO IT. The real posers are the hypocrites saying "be yourself" but then turning around to say "no not like that"

The thing about pink stuff reminds me of a time in middle school when I saw a woman, black hair, thick black makeup, black clothes, boots, ect, walking her 3 yearold blonde baby dressed in all pink and fluffy tassels to daycare. Cutest thing I had seen in a while.
I love this. I get a lot of hate, because when someone asks my music tastes I tell them a range of the music that I like, and they get all confused. How can someone like Simon and Garfunkel and NiN? They don't get it. They also think it's weird that one day I can wear all black with knee high 9 inch heel boots, and the next I can wear bright eye shadow with a Ninja Turtles tee and jeans. I don't conform. I wear and listen to what I want. :P

I was the creepy kid in kindergarten too. We were all sharing crayons and I asked for the black one. The other little girls were like "Eww, why do you like _black_? It's so ugly!" but I thought black was beautiful. The other kids would draw flowers and cats and dogs, and I'd be at the end of the table drawing spiders and monsters. Some people really are just born goth :)

I'm not exactly 100% sure what branch of Goth I'm in, however, I'd assume it's the Metalhead/Military style. I've always liked all the different branches and respected people who dare be different than today's social dogma standards. The goth ideology is one thing that all of us have in common, no matter what "genre" you're in and I think it's great. Why conform to things you don't like or feel natural to you? Nowadays I dress what's considered fairly "normal" because it's comfortable. Also with my job, I cannot have expensive and fancy clothing as they would get destroyed. As for my dark and macabre mind....that'll always stay with me no matter how horrendously "Un-goth" I look. lol

Love it. I had a punk girl in college - one of the ones who didn't bath, seriously - who attacked me regularly, and sometimes physically, because I had a Black Flag patch on my purse. Apparently, I wasn't "punk" enough (I wasn't "punk" at all, I was "everything," I just liked Black Flag and giggled with excitement when I found a patch) to have a Black Flag patch on my purse. I moved that patch to every purse after that just to piss her smelly ass off. I still have the damn thing.

Ungoth confessions: I don't think Bauhaus's Bela Lugosi's Dead is anywhere near as good as people told me it was... It seems highly over-rated. I wear super colourful socks and undies, usually odd socks of differing rainbow colours. I am obsessed with Christmas and not so much Halloween. It's cool, but I don't like being scared, I like heart-warming moments... I also enjoy some reality tv.... me and my fiancé like to watch things like "young dumb and living off mum" and make fun of the kids who are so inept and full of themselves. I like folk music... I LOVE folk music. Seth Lakeman, Bellowhead, Faustus, Belshazzar's Feast... I also like old Madonna stuff... used to listen to it all the time when I was a kid.

I'm a pretty firm believer that "goth" is much much bigger than style and music. It's really a mindset I think. I love watching these videos that really reiterate that there are no rules in being alternative. Heck yes what what.

The thing about pink stuff reminds me of a time in middle school when I saw a woman, black hair, thick black makeup, black clothes, boots, ect, walking her 3 yearold blonde baby dressed in all pink and fluffy tassels to daycare. Cutest thing I had seen in a while.
I love this. I get a lot of hate, because when someone asks my music tastes I tell them a range of the music that I like, and they get all confused. How can someone like Simon and Garfunkel and NiN? They don't get it.
They also think it's weird that one day I can wear all black with knee high 9 inch heel boots, and the next I can wear bright eye shadow with a Ninja Turtles tee and jeans.

I was the creepy kid in kindergarten too. We were all sharing crayons and I asked for the black one. The other little girls were like "Eww, why do you like _black_? It's so ugly!" but I thought black was beautiful. The other kids would draw flowers and cats and dogs, and I'd be at the end of the table drawing spiders and monsters. Some people really are just born goth :)

I'm not exactly 100% sure what branch of Goth I'm in, however, I'd assume it's the Metalhead/Military style. I've always liked all the different branches and respected people who dare be different than today's social dogma standards. The goth ideology is one thing that all of us have in common, no matter what "genre" you're in and I think it's great. Why conform to things you don't like or feel natural to you? Nowadays I dress what's considered fairly "normal" because it's comfortable. Also with my job, I cannot have expensive and fancy clothing as they would get destroyed. As for my dark and macabre mind....that'll always stay with me no matter how horrendously "Un-goth" I look. lol

I think I as well was born goth or at the very least a metalhead lol I always loved dark movies and the typical music that was considered "dark." Cats are naturally attracted to me (a momma cat chose her "nesting place" as my front porch for her kittens...) and I love graveyards and skulls and always have... I think I started to embrace the stereotype once my best friend and I decided to commit to becoming goths. We didn't see each other for four years until recently, and we kept our promises..! Lol >w

Mana-Sama is an extremely famous celebrity from Japan. He one of of those people who made goth fashion popular in Japan and spear headed the incite of gosi-rori (aka Gothic Lolita Fashion). He was the lead guitarist/song writer for Malice Mizer and now owns his own band Moi Dix Mois. He is also well known for fabulously massive hair, handsome yet beautiful features and amazing sense of fashion. His wife is one of the luckiest woman alive. To put it in joke terms he's like if Marilyn Manson and The Cure made a love child.
FYI, Sama is Japanese means "Master" and people often call him Mana-Sama as a sign of respect.

Love it. I had a punk girl in college - one of the ones who didn't bath, seriously - who attacked me regularly, and sometimes physically, because I had a Black Flag patch on my purse. Apparently, I wasn't "punk" enough (I wasn't "punk" at all, I was "everything," I just liked Black Flag and giggled with excitement when I found a patch) to have a Black Flag patch on my purse. I moved that patch to every purse after that just to piss her smelly ass off. I still have the damn thing.

No, this chick would have attacked anyone. I wasn't the only one she went after. We had a joke that she'd probably attack the lead singer of her favorite band, too. I was more into metal at the time, myself. I just stayed away from her, like everyone else. She was a fly by night, but had a short temper, so whatever it took to go after someone. That was about 15 years ago.

I never had anyone come after me for it though. hehe I wanted a bass guitar specifically because I wanted to play the bass lines from Black Flag songs. I eventually got one and the very first thing I played on it was the opening bass line from Six Pack. :)

I don't think Bauhaus's Bela Lugosi's Dead is anywhere near as good as people told me it was... It seems highly over-rated.
I wear super colourful socks and undies, usually odd socks of differing rainbow colours.
I am obsessed with Christmas and not so much Halloween. It's cool, but I don't like being scared, I like heart-warming moments...
I also enjoy some reality tv.... me and my fiancé like to watch things like "young dumb and living off mum" and make fun of the kids who are so inept and full of themselves.
I like folk music... I LOVE folk music. Seth Lakeman, Bellowhead, Faustus, Belshazzar's Feast... I also like old Madonna stuff... used to listen to it all the time when I was a kid.
