ARAZO GETS HER EARS PIERCED!

[Alena] Today Arazo maze gets her ears pierced. I got my ears pierced as a baby and so did practically everyone in my family I know. It's one of our oldest traditions carried over from our motherland. Forgive me mommy and Madea (my mom and grandma who've both passed away), for procrastinating forever to get Arazo's ears pierced. I can't believe I waited 5 years!! They would be yelling at me right now to get that "chile's ears done". Madea still had some of that heavy southern accent in her even though she left Alabama for Cleveland many many years ago. I can just hear Madea's voice now! It resonates with me even many years after her death. It wasn't the most proper voice, but it was a voice of reason and wisdom and love. "Shut that front do'", "Na be nice", "Keebo"(that's what she called my lil sister) "Keeeno" (she would laugh every time she said that)! I remember her voice so vividly and could recognize it so easily because I was her granddaughter, I belonged to her and because of that family tie I was near to her and knew her (even though we lived in different states). In light of all that is happening in Charlottesville, we should be equipped and ready to make wise decisions more than ever. Spiritually, it's important that we can recognize God's voice in all of this. When he calls for us or when he is directing us to move or to stay still.
1 Samuel 3:8-11
8 And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy.
9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down, and if he calls you, you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant hears.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears.”
11 Then the Lord said to Samuel, “Behold, I am about to do a thing in Israel at which the two ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.
