Awe! I didn't realize how much I missed it when my teens would be all like "moms home!" When they were young until I had my now 4 yr old. They had grown out of it but now , once again, everytime I walk in the door I'm greeted by an excited little girl.

My sister (almost 40y/o but with developmental delays that make her decades younger mentally) still does this. She’s such a Daddy’s Girl and the highlights of her day are Dad calling her to let her know he’s almost home from work, him entering the home, and him coming up from the home gym in the basement so she can start spending time with him.
Same. When my Dad came home we went nuts! lol we did cartwheels, hung on his legs and demanded to be picked up. He brought pure joy and everything was right in our world. I didn’t realize how much my siblings and greeting him in the yard meant to him. He is 86 and still my hero ❤

His little run was so cute. He really loves his daddy. Father and son are so adorable. Makes me think about the times I stayed up to 11:00 to see my father. My mother used to try to make me go to bed. I would get up just so I can see my father. I refuse to go to bed and sleep until my father got home.
