@FanBoy0189 I used it to take long exposure shots of the moon and stars. You need a very still camera to achieve good results and the pen was my go-to. I also used it for my doom scrolling, I bet that I made up a large percentage of use just on that function alone.
If you can spend extra money for it than you can simply buy spen pro if the feature are that important for you you can spend for it right if not than don't complain@@orion_13
@orion_13 giving s stand for stylus, but they refer s pen as Bluetooth, ironically... yeah it's now a stylus and shouldn't called it s pen. I used s pen everyday. There's probably going to be a third party develope s Bluetooth s pen. But it's not the same if it'd oem . It's just a way manufacturer save cost on production.
@@BlueRice no need to buy a third party one Samsung sells spen pro it is been there for years and it can be used in multiple devices that support spen so no problem if you can pay to buy third party one you should rather buy the original one which Samsung sells
@itsmepokemon8246 The S-Pen Pro is kinda bulky and adds 1 more thing to worry about, though. The thing I like with the built-in S-Pen is that it's always there when I need it, fully charged, connected, and just a click away.
I have a good anecdote. Every year when it's Christmas everybody reunite on the sofa and ask someone to take a family picture. I take my s23 ultra out, put it on a tripod and they say "but you're not gonna be on the picture" . Then I get the Spen out like a magician and It's EXACTLY the same ambiance as in their promotional ad. Lights, smiles and wow's. Well... Now it's just a device. Losing slowly its soul.
@@Bklynpimpstress honestly it's the same function I use. I don't use the s pen for other things besides as a camera shutter especially when I travel solo. Voice command is not effective if you take pictures in distance over 5 meters and in a noisy area especially tourists attractions. It's really a huge disappointment for me as a regular buyer who has been upgrading every year for the past 5 years.
I won't be surprised to see S25U sales go down. S24U will now be in higher demand. Since Samsung is claiming a very minimal user base for spen, making this as an accessory as the best option but cutting down its price is also important.
It's heavily discounted with trade-ins and vouchers; it seems they know in advance that their flagship product line will not sell well this time around.
Yeah, i don't like the design. Thats why they don't called it a note anymore. Htc, went down because of it's design. They add goodies to it but remove the other goodies which make it less attractive. The only reason why I upgrade because of satellite capabilities. The color isn't good either. I guess titanium is the trend right now as you can see it on cyber truck.
@manuelpiston It's their balls to the wall flagship phone. It's like $1500. Do you really think enthusiasts like me with an s24 ultra will complain about a couple dollars? Hell no, if they could fit more cool shit in the phone for that price or a couple hundred more, it better have it. Fuck it, put starlink in this bitch, make the screen out of blood diamonds from africa. I only want the best of the best with the most cutting edge, niche features that only power users will use because we fuck like that. Cutting out features to make the pen go from 20 bucks production price down to 5 just to make the S pen a dumb stylus shouldn't be the philosophy of the Ultra lineup.
@@manuelpistonno one cares it's still a lovable feature maybe 5% of people might use it for picture taking as long there not stupid to know how it works
I will agree on this bluetooth functionality in spen is very important. It's a reserve convenience feature. Think about it when you have groupshot with friends or fam or any events...you dont have to set a Timer and run and rush your position.. you just take the pen without any pressure then take a shot with people in the frame with no hassle... just press and press.. very easy.. again a "Reserve Convenience Feature".. I'll just stay with my S24U
Exactly and also when doing selfie photos you don't have to hold it in an awkward way where your hand has to be touching the button on the phone or on the front of the screen you can just really extend your arm out farther and then have the S Pen in your other hand.
@@bLaffixyes and you can also say shoot or cheese. But by putting your palm out now you're taking photos of yourself with which make sure photos look kind of silly.
Similar to removing the IR blaster, memory card ,heart rate sensor ugh I can just keep going. Unfortunately the Samsung of yesterday that I fell in love with every year keeps taking away features that I use. I heard they are even going to take away Dex at some point. I still think for me Samsung is the best phone but I wish I could have some of my old features back along with the new
Dex is another that I thought meh, it is built into Windows now.... Then the announcement that Windows 11 defaults to screenshot every 5 seconds. Now with the removal of Bluetooth spen.. I guess I will ride this S23 Ultra until it dies. The other option is to grab an s24 ultra now and save it for when my s23 dies... either way without the spen Bluetooth I will be looking at other brands.
Honestly they should change the spen to a remote camera shutter. They could make it a fraction of the size. I literally never use the spen for writing, but did for camera shutter
They removed the SPen bluetooth features so that more people buy a samsung ring or watch, both of which can do similar things. I do agree that some users don't even know how cool the spen can be when using bluetooth, but I don't believe the 0.5% ratio.
50-50 as in time with the rings and watches, Samsung will no-longer update them, and in time, both the ring and watch won't be compatible with the device, as this is why they do thing, for you to keep buying new, to me they can kiss my sale goodbye,
@@martincowling6562 bro... I went to Motorola this year because they have a phone that has 2tb expandable memory, a headphone jack, s pen like stylus that has a few tricks (lacks the Bluetooth connectivity because they rely on the smart tag for the photo cues) and I could go on- it's time we all boycott Samsung because they clearly refuse to listen to us!!!
Yeah that's a shame that they're all about money. But I didn't even know you could take photos wirelessly with your watch. I don't like to wear jewelry so the ring is useless to me. But I knew how to take photos wirelessly with my S pen. And sometimes for my photos I'm going to be sending back farther where you see more of my body and I don't want to be wearing a watch in the photo or showing that I'm like holding onto my wrist or phone because you know you're trying to take photos in certain positions and have your hand and stuff in certain ways.
Instead of optimizing theit trademark features Samsung takes them away, more and more becoming a regular phone instead of keeping their impressive personalization, productivity and feature rich appeal of the past.
I use the s pen for controlling my music while doing my platelet and blood donations when you can move your arms during the process. It's more reliable then the pro 3 earbuds when voice control is in a loud area and being stubborn
@thedogbarber come to Motorola my friend... we have all the note 9 capabilities AND 2TB expanded memory AND a killer camera...... oh, want that Bluetooth camera snap function? Just grab one of the moto tags and you're set... no seriously, Motorola actually listened, they left the headphone jack ON!
@VanquishedAgain just smelled mine, and yes, it does smell that way. Doesn't mean anything though, the phone often gets quite hot inside and most likely they didn't take it into account when they selected the stylus material. It just smells, to quote a famous Italian.
I use S Pen air gestures along with modes and routines to control my smart device. I will definitely upgrade my S23 Ultra to the S24 Ultra and stay until the S Pen returns.
@@Bklynpimpstress I been Samsung user for long time. If they don't bring back that s pen built in Bluetooth I will definitely will look somewhere else. There is ton of people like me. I might just one but when you add the rest of same thinking becomes a large group.
Well start looking somewhere elses cause i have been a samsung user from the beginning and i have never seen them remove some and bring it back @@ispianist
I remember in uni, I would use my note 9 in dex mode connected to the projector and have my S-pen as my remote to flick through slides. It was the ultimate presentation package.
@@hudsonkennan dude, if you want a walk down memory lane, motorola stylus series is essentially the grown up note 9 you loved but with a much better camera and 2TB expandable memory. The stylus isn't Bluetooth either, but they have various commands and you can use their air tags like a camera shutter etc to control it. So, not exactlyyyy the same but DANG close!
I’m deeply disappointed with Samsung for removing the Bluetooth functionality from the S-Pen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. For me, the S-Pen wasn’t just a feature; it was a game-changer. On solo trips, I never worried about asking someone to take my picture. I’d simply set my phone in the perfect spot, use the S-Pen to snap photos effortlessly, and even take multiple shots in different poses without constantly running back to check my phone. The Galaxy Ultra series (formerly the Note series) has always been in a league of its own. It wasn’t just another phone; it was a brand, a symbol of excellence. Features like the S-Pen and the iconic boxy design made it stand out. These weren’t gimmicks-they were the heart and soul of the Ultra experience. Those who never used the S-Pen simply didn’t understand its value-it wasn’t meant for them. If they didn’t care about the S-Pen, they had the option of choosing the Plus (formerly S series) models. The Ultra, on the other hand, was for those of us who wanted the absolute best-the best camera, the best performance, and the unparalleled versatility of the S-Pen. Taking away such a defining feature feels like a step back, reducing the Ultra to just another premium phone rather than the powerhouse it was meant to be. Samsung, please don’t dilute what made the Ultra series so special.
Samsung not only doesn't listen, they actively REFUSE to listen!! Motorola LISTENS when we spam their social media, they made a stylus series that picked up where the note 9 left off- all we need to do is ask them for Bluetooth connectivity of the STYLUS, in addition to their already paired for photos moto airtag...
I actually use the S-Pen a lot, but not the Bluetooth functions. But triggering the camera with the pen was the only thing I used regularly and was always missing on my Fold 6. It's a pity that it doesn't work anymore. On the other hand, gestures and voice commands still work as a trigger for the camera 😅
My phone sits on my desk playing music. I pause with the pen. Back in Internet, all the time. Family selfie shots.. Its another papercut that ends the Note lineup. Such a shame.
Thanks for the best Samsung phones channel, very high-quality content. And I fully agree with you on this one. Some tools are rarely used, but when you need them, they are priceless.
I agree with everything you said. I don't use it often but it's super convenient to have it. Because the phone has such a boxy design it's easy to put it somewhere and take group photos or photos of yourself, and that's where I mostly use this functionality. I know I can use it on my watch as well but it's much easier hiding a pen behind me or someone else to click a physical button rather than looking at my watch to press a tiny circle on the screen.
Honestly it's the biggest turn-off for me for having the S-pen without this capabilities, especially as a solo traveler. It's not smart pen anymore. It's just a regular stylus. I still hope that they could update that and make it back like before just with software upgrade.
@@zuneid375 I mean, S24U is basically S23U with worse zoom, so I don't know about that. At least it has flat screen, but it gets smudged just as easily as S23U does.
@@orion_13 HEY!! come to motorola!! We have s pen-like built-in styluses, headphone jacks, 2 TB memory expansion, most of the note 9 sensors, freakish camera stats, I could go on.... Moto G is here to give you everything Samsung took away!
This may be a very niche usecase, but I use my S-pen for reading applications because of it's air action support allowing me to lay in bed in my comfortable sleeping position, prop the phone up, and then just click teh button on the sylus to scroll down or go to the next page, so i can read until I fall asleep without being in an uncomfortable position to support holding my phone. The removal of this feature from the S25 series has ensured that i will not be upgrading until the day my S24 Ultra dies, and then I will be instead buying whichever competitors device or tablet that has bluetooth stylus support.
HEY! so, I know it doesn't have the Bluetooth support the same because it relies on an s pen-like combo with a moto air tag but... if you're going to join us in the boycott, you might like the Motorola stylus series!! Headphone jacks, expandable 2 TB memory, most of the note 9 sensors, killer camera, the list goes on... and it felt SO GOOD paying UNDER $400 for it, just to spite Samsung!
Meanwhile the Motorola g series is like a note 9, but with 2TB expandable memory instead of only 1TB LOL!!! They still have the headphone jack, an amazing camera, most of the note 9 sensors... yeah, Samsung is going to die just because they didn't listen
Absolutely ridiculous! With that logic - lets remove the 3x camera lens because people are not using it at all. Why its still there just to take and use unnecessary space? Why they removed the whole Air Action option of the Pen too? Its not even in the menu anymore??? Why we cant use our S Pen Pros anymore with the phone? What? S Pen Pro is now unusable? Even s21u which doesnt even have a pen had the air action capabilities. Its okay to remove it but at least give us option to replace it. Zero logic!
I'll definitely be keeping the s24 ultra for as long as possible. Hopefully they revert this. The s pen was basically the only reason I'm buying a samsung phone. The Bluetooth made it more than just a stylus. Any phone can do this
So happy to see a youtuber make a video dedicated to this issue.. samsung dropped the ball big time on this one. This is tragic and makes the phone feel like a major downgrade.
What is WAS missing was some way of identifying the touch/push point to find easily without having to hunt for it so hard. They told us it was there, but for all practical purposes they hid it.
Sheesh I'm glad I got the 24 ultra. That's one of the features I like about the spen... I wish I used my pen more, but I dont... I'd be very sad and feel betrayed if they take that away from the 24u
A disastrous decision to remove the S pen feature makes it a normal pen. The boxy design also some how manageable but S pen functionality, no way. Kindly convey my message to Samsung that they lost a potential Buyer and I think there are many like me.
Hey! I went to the Motorola stylus series, SO worth it! It's basically a grown up note 9, plus awesome camera, 2TB expandable memory, minus the Bluetooth s pen BUT they make up for it with their little air tag controls and gesture recognition. Samsung never listened when I sent emails, commented on their forums etc... so I'm leading a massive campaign to cost them money and bring people over to the Motorola camp where they have headphone jacks and LISTEN!!!
Staying with my S23+ in Purple. It's either a Pixel or a one plus for the future. Especially since most accessibility features on Samsung phones are 6 months later when they are upgraded! If I get the S26 next year, its going to be an unexpected jump.
This is so far the honest review and thoughts i have ever watched about S25 Ultra ❤ Ultras were like a Swiss knife, you don't use every tool equally nor every day, but it's nice to have them at your disposal all the time. Also with previous Ultra preorders you were getting sweet offers like double storage, wireless crarger, buds, smart tags and other perks. With the last one there is only double storage for the same price. Every year they are not giving but only taking up. First charger, second the sweet deals, now... Samsung is going to the wrong direction, especially with competitors like Vovo, Oneplus even Honor. I even found myself watching for Honor magic 7 Pro, with S24 Ultra in my hand, this tells so much to me 🤔 Design wise the new ultra is good, but battery, ram, same cameras, s-pen... Not good Samsung, not good.
Dude!! Did you see the moto g series lately??? 2TB expandable memory, s pen like stylus, HEADPHONE JACK, mega camera stats, most of the note 9 sensors... I could go on but... I'm over here just thankful SOMEONE is listening when a stupid Korean company refuses to!
Even if the usage is low, getting rid of it is a bad idea. They should have at least replaced it with new features like: 1) Include an S-pen tactic engine 2) The button on the S-pen can double as a second fingerprint sensor 3) The S-pen can ditch capacitative battery for a micro-battery that can supplement the phones battery, increasing battery life 4) Mics can be included on the S-pen for remote microphone functionality.
@@judenjilah7996 dude you should tell this to Motorola, they actually listen! Their current stylus phone is like a grown up note 9 but I bet they might implement something if you asked!!
@invisibleunicorn3337 if you tell people 200years ago that a day will come when you can video call someone from anywhere in the world they would never have accepted. So it's only a matter of time
I am definitely not impressed with the s25 line. Forcing AI at every floor is not inmovation, its just bandwidth and more control of our data. I will again keep my s23 ultra this year.
Dude I kept my note 9 until this year when I found the Motorola stylus series! They're basically the glorified note 9 but with 2 TB expandable memory and awesome camera- if enough of us ask for Bluetooth connectivity for the stylus, there's a great chance they will make it happen! They left the headphone jack because we asked!!
My S Pen bluetooth function for some reason didnt work for 2 years (maybe got wet?). I was so upset every time i had to use a timer on my camera and run back and forth. Then about a year ago it started working again. It was so cool to be able to tell people when the photo is going to be taken! I suspect it may be due to the qi2 charger.
I was thinking the same when S24U came out and they made zoom worse. They just keep ditching features and don't bring necessary upgrades. Why is the 3x sensor still 10mp?! You can literally get more detail by cropping the main 200mp photo 3x than using the dedicated 3x lens/sensor combo. It's just ridiculous... Will keep my S23U for a long time if this goes on, or perhaps it was my first and last Ultra device.
Hm, this is because companies are not led by enthusiasts but by booring profit mongering people. They have killed iPhone's 3D touch the same way, because Steve Cook does not care about the products, just the money products make.
Dude! All I gotta say is that Motorola is TRYING to listen.. their stylus series picked up where the note 9 left off but with 2 tb expandable memory and way better camera. If enough of us ask them for Bluetooth connectivity for the stylus on their social media, they WILL give it to us, afterall- they let us keep our headphone jack!!
S pen bluetooth gesture is one of the main feature I used as a student, using it on dex while present a presentation, and start talking in front of class without pressing or touching anything on my phone. cause of that feature, whenever I present something in front, I feel like I'm delivering an speech on stage of TED-ed. I'ts an incredible feature. RIP air actions
To take pictures it was very practical. I don't want to use the Samsung watch since I use the Garmin one. In addition, when you want to take a group photo, it's much less discreet to do the function with a watch than the S Pen... Same thing for making a presentation. Too bad!
Taking away something without adding nothing extra is a sin. They don't give you anything extra so the Spen had to give up functionality. Not even a bigger battery with just 5000mah in 2025.
The funny thing is if you read the specs on the the Samsung website it says the S pen is supported. I use mine all the time so the 25 is a bust for me.
Big shame. This function is what made the ultra special. May as well buy any other brand phone now. I'll be keeping my s23 ultra for a while longer then. Samsung really didn't do their research on this one. I have the watch as well. Much preferred to just press the button on the s pen to take group selfies rather than looking like a demented crab pinching the air. Also showing your palm only takes one photo. With the s pen I could spam the button and filter out the best image with ease.

It's pretty wild how insanely low the use percentage for the Bluetooth remote features were, yet people seem so upset to lose something they realistically didn't use.
I normally take group photos (with me in it) when the need is required and not having someone else to be the photographer.. Air Gesture is gimmicky but you wouldn't know, you might need it.. I'm using an S22 Ultra 5G and I'm sure I'll be upgrading to S24 Ultra and not the S25 Ultra..

Best thing for this s-pen is taking a photo as to editing images with very tinny inners where the finger is too big or thick. And I do feel in time, they could bring it back because trying to have cutbacks to save money, isn't working with people because less features now and still charging them more money for less features. Only have to look a Blackberry, and can see Samsung heading down that path,
Additionally, no new research & development will be done to further the interesting work they were doing like s-pen gestures. Worse, there will be pressure to remove the existing features from future software updates.
I feel like theyll ge so much backlash they'll add bt back to s pen in future phones . Also damsung better sell this new pen for cheap ghe current ones cost around 50 bucks to replace ...the newer ones shouldn't be over 29 bucks .....
I've always been curious as to how much battery the S-pen was sipping given it had to be charged (even if ever so slightly) every time it was removed. Even when not in use, just having it stored in the phone would sip the battery just to stay topped up at 100%.
The last flagship without any downgrade was the S23 Ultra. At the time of it's release it was the best phone money could buy. Then with S24U they removed the 10x lens, now the S-pen, and in a couple of years the S-series will just be an iPhone clone.
no Bluetooth for spen, pro scaler (super resolution) cannot be adjusted, still no memc/frame interpolation, no 16gb ram, no larger battery, no 1inch sensor/stacked sensor for the main cam, 3x is still 10mp, ultrawide is 50 mp with wider aperture but sensor size is still the same so no significant improvement, selfie camera no improvements, ai = software updates they tried to be slick and fancy with it but no I'm not buying it. the only upgrade is the design and chip, so wtf are they selling? a software update? 😁 😂 I've had the s22, 23 and now the 24 ultra but sorry to say it's time to look at the competition. might get a vivo x200 ultra or xiaomi 15 ultra.
@invisibleunicorn3337 there are things that were missing on the 22 and 23 and when I got the 24 I thought i would get better hardware but still the same main sensor. I have money, but I won't spend it this year on something that's this disappointing.

First the IR blaster, then the headphone jack, then MST, now Bluetooth functionality... so sad man. What's even the point of calling it the ultra? This is frustrating
S pen sets it apart. They ditched the note & made S21U without an internal s pen, selling it separately. They brought it back on S22U. S pen may again be external in near future... Samsung is becoming focused on just profits than delivering the best

Maybe Samsung should have renamed it the NS-Ultra (Not-So)? These problems with Samsung removing things all the time are reducing the value and bringing the Note/Ultra line down to mediocre status... Androids create a function, apply it to cell phones, remove it, then Apple copies this function and applies it. So Androids copy Apple and apply the function that Apple copied. This is envy.
What have they done, same thing Samsung always does. Give us a feature that once it’s good enough for daily use they drop it for something else that they will struggle to get right and when they do they will drop it for something else again that nobody wants or asks for.
I'm one of the 0.5 % - but a hardcore one! I used the remote shutter over and over again, very often for night and astro photography. After having the Note 9 and now having the S22 Ultra (with optical 10x zoom!) you can guess how I feel. Why should I spend € 1,569.- for having just half of the optical zoom, half of the S-pen functionality, the same 12 GB of RAM without an upgrade, the same 5,000 mAh battery without an upgrade, the same mediocre night and tele camera that can not compete with Vivo's flagships anymore, no support for the intelligent flip cases anymore and the need to buy a new QC charger after I bought the original Samsung PD charger. 🤦♂️ No, sorry Samsung! 2025 will be no match for us! 🤷♂️
FRIEND!! I too felt betrayed! I've run the note 9 since launch and JUST got the moto stylus series phone! Its basically a grown up note 9 with great camera and 2 TB expandable memory... the s pen doesn't have Bluetooth BUT it pairs with their air tag and THAT has the connectivity and commands. (Honestly, because it has a bigger battery and more space for the Bluetooth it works better than the s pen!)
It's a simple way to increase profit unfortunately. I use it "often" for taking Pictures on a tripod. Since I plan to keep my S24 Ultra for at least 4 Years I can only hope we get that feature back in the future somehow. Cheers
Hey! If you want that feature, the Motorola stylus series still has it available! You just have to use one of their Motorola Air tags to click, but the camera is killer, it still has a headphone jack, OH AND 2TB EXPANDABLE MEMORY SO YOU CAN REMOVE THE FREAKING CARD TO SPEED DOWNLOAD PHOTOS. Come to the Motorola side friend... we have functionality!!!
It's not an s-pen , it's just a built in stylus now. If the phone released at the same price as last year , why do i get all of my hardware upgraded EXCEPT A DOWNGRADE IN WHAT MAKES THE ULTRA AN ULTRA
What about switching pencils in Samsung Notes? Is this feature removed? I use this all the time. I don't really care about the camera thing, but switching pencils is essential.
Friend, if you need to bail on Samsung come to Motorola stylus series- we are running basically the note 9 but with 2 TB expandable memory and better camera. They haven't figured out s pen Bluetooth connectivity yet, but if you asked them to, they most probably would add that!
Having more features than any one person needs is what Samsung's all about in my view! Sure there's lots of things you dont use for the most part, but when you need to do something, there's a fearure for that 😅 With regard to the loss of the bluetooth spen, i do use it as a super quick and easy remote shutter for family pics. I do occasionally use my watch to do it, but there's something nice about using the spen clicker to do it 😊
Even though I have not used it much, not having it makes me skip buying this Phone. Maybe for the first time since the Original Galaxy S I might consider trying to jump ship to another brand.
OMG COME TO THR MOTO STYLUS SERIES FRIEND!! we have headphone jacks, we have 2 tb expandable memory, the same sensors as the note 9, heck its practically a grown up note 9 but with better cameras! And the best part is that Motorola listens when we spam their social media, so if we keep asking for Bluetooth connectivity for the stylus Im most certain we will get it!!
*cough*** the moto stylus series has it with their air tag shutter and it goes further than the stylus does for distance connecting... *cough #motorolastylus
It's for the first time when they launch a new model where I'm undecided die to this downgrade. The phone looks amazing, but without the S-Pen function I don't think that I'll buy it. Maybe Samsung will bring back this option and then I'll think about it. Shame on you, Samsung!
Honestly, join us boycotters and come to the Motorola stylus series! We have all the OG note 9 features but upgraded!! PLUS they actually listen when we spam their social media!! Join the wave friend!
i haven't seen anyone testing the older generation s pen with the s25 ultra yet. does the s24 ultra s pen fit inside the s25 ultra. does the s25 ultra remove the charging? can you still use the blue tooth features on the s25 ultra if you pair the s24 ultra s pen with it? will samsung be offering an optional s pen with blue tooth for people who do use it? all these questions should be answered by any thorough review imo.
S-Pen without the Bluetooth functionality is not an S-Pen anymore, it's just another stylus.
I was tempted to upgrade, but that one feature loss changed my mind
I'm mentally struggling. The screwed up doing this. I only used the features occasionally, but it's enough to give me pause now that they're gone
I was ready to switch but this has changed my mind as well. I'll hold on to my S23 a bit long
Same here... S24U.
Samsung, judging by the comments it is more than .5% usage.
Sales will be lost over this product decision.
Oh please just use the voice command lol
@@Bklynpimpstress doesn't work so well 😅
@@Bklynpimpstress honestly it's the same function I use. I don't use the s pen for other things besides as a camera shutter especially when I travel solo. It's really a huge disappointment for me as a regular buyer who has been upgrading every year for the past 5 years.
I do the exact same thing!
The 25 "Ultra" is no longer Ultra...
I'll keep my 23 really "Ultra".
@@Kodexx00 If I recall, this happened last year as well.
@@BlueRice there's satellite capabilities on s25?
I bought it for the better camera, not the pen(ish).
It's a stupid decision to remove features from generation to generation when nobody asked for the removal of said features.
.5% of people used it? They can reduce cost and weight. If the made the price a few dollars higher you would be complaining about that then.

I will agree on this bluetooth functionality in spen is very important. It's a reserve convenience feature. Yeah that's a shame that they're all about money. But I didn't even know you could take photos wirelessly with your watch. I don't like to wear jewelry so the ring is useless to me.
Totally agree. I still have my Note 20 Ultra. Not a single scratch on it. A little bit of screen burn on top bezel. Still amazing photos.

I agree with everything you said. I don't use it often but it's super convenient to have it. I know I can use it on my watch as well but it's much easier hiding a pen behind me or someone else to click a physical button rather than looking at my watch to press a tiny circle on the screen.

This is so far the honest review and thoughts i have ever watched about S25 Ultra ❤
Ultras were like a Swiss knife, you don't use every tool equally nor every day, but it's nice to have them at your disposal all the time.
I even found myself watching for Honor magic 7 Pro, with S24 Ultra in my hand, this tells so much to me 🤔
Design wise the new ultra is good, but battery, ram, same cameras, s-pen... Not good Samsung, not good.
Samsung, you've just made a*really* bad mistake.
They should have at least replaced it with new features like:
1) Include an S-pen tactic engine
2) The button on the S-pen can double as a second fingerprint sensor
3) The S-pen can ditch capacitative battery for a micro-battery that can supplement the phones battery, increasing battery life
4) Mics can be included on the S-pen for remote microphone functionality.

They're basically the glorified note 9 but with 2 TB expandable memory and awesome camera- if enough of us ask for Bluetooth connectivity for the stylus, there's a great chance they will make it happen! They left the headphone jack because we asked!!
I use notes a lot and I erase with the bluetooth button all the time. Removing it is crazy!
Mine stopped working one day for no reason. Just bought a replacement on ebay and worked again 😊
My s23 ultra feels better now.
More like a first aid kit. It's there when you need it
Hm, this is because companies are not led by enthusiasts but by booring profit mongering people.

I don't want to use the Samsung watch since I use the Garmin one.
In addition, when you want to take a group photo, it's much less discreet to do the function with a watch than the S Pen... Same thing for making a presentation.
Too bad!
I didn't use the gestures but I always took photos wirelessly!
Then what is the use of that pen button??
their user data is biased the ones that use features are usually the ones that don't send user data

Best thing for this s-pen is taking a photo as to editing images with very tinny inners where the finger is too big or thick.
And I do feel in time, they could bring it back because trying to have cutbacks to save money, isn't working with people because less features now and still charging them more money for less features.
Only have to look a Blackberry, and can see Samsung heading down that path,
Cost cutting decision and in my opinion the first phase of them removing the s pen altogeher fron the Ultra lineup.
YEA AND ONLY 0.001% ARE USING S-PEN 1 TIME OUT OF 100 000. WILL THEY QUIT ON THE S-PEN AS WELL? SAME FOR 5X ZOOM ULTRAWIDE CAMERAS.
There's ALWAYS some downgrade with these new models. Irritating.
Why would you even upgrade every gen? It's like flushing a grand down the toilet once per year, lol.
@invisibleunicorn3337 there are things that were missing on the 22 and 23 and when I got the 24 I thought i would get better hardware but still the same main sensor. I have money, but I won't spend it this year on something that's this disappointing.
@@BLAKEEATS1988 COME TO THE MOTO STYLUS SERIES FRIEND!!!!! We have 2 TB expandable memory, s pen like stylus, HEADPHONE JACK, great camera and oh yeah, we can operate it with the moto air tag... PLUS... Motorola actually listens so if we all spam them with Bluetooth connectivity for the stylus requests.. IT MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN! plus... boycotting Samsung for refusing to listen? Priceless. Wait wait 1 more thing... all for under $400. YEP so worth the switch! It's like the speedier budget version of my note 9!
@@BLAKEEATS1988 be like us boycotters and come to the moto stylus series!! We have most of the same sensors as the NOTE 9. yeah the OG with the most!!! Headphone jack, 2TB expandable memory... and we can still control the camera function with the moto air tag! PLUS Motorola actually listens, if enough of us spam their social media with Bluetooth connectivity options for the stylus, there's a good chance they might actually do it! Stupid Samsung actively ignores us, it felt SO good to buy an upgraded note 9 replacement for only $399... I'm stoked and hope I can swing more people so we can build the ultimate phone together!
@@toby-jeanne_almy Downgrade to that garbage? No thanks, the cameras are trash, so why would I want to even control them remotely?
The point of a flagship expensive phone is to have features not everyone uses all the time, not everyone needs wirless charging or zoom cameras or powerful chip..... if you remove all of this you'll end up with a 300$ budget phone not an 1000+ ultra
At that point just come to Motorola stylus series, we have the note 9 equivalent right now and it's great!
Also removed the 40 mp selfie which was ultra only. Its just a plus version with bigger screen
I use the remote camera feature on the S Pen once. It was to take an extended family photo for my grandfather. He put the photo as the background on his phone.
He died shortly after.
I'm sad to lose the feature.
First the IR blaster, then the headphone jack, then MST, now Bluetooth functionality... so sad man. What's even the point of calling it the ultra? This is frustrating
That's why I went to the Motorola stylus series! Its basically a note 9 all grown up with 2TB expandable memory...
S pen sets it apart.
They ditched the note & made S21U without an internal s pen, selling it separately. They brought it back on S22U.
S pen may again be external in near future... Samsung is becoming focused on just profits than delivering the best
Come to Motorola! They actually listen, they made a stylus series that picked up where the note 9 left off!!! We need more voices to influence them in their social media, we spammed them and got to keep our headphone jack and they upgraded us to 2tb expandable memory- we just need more voices to get them to prioritize adding Bluetooth to the styuls!
Maybe Samsung should have renamed it the NS-Ultra (Not-So)? These problems with Samsung removing things all the time are reducing the value and bringing the Note/Ultra line down to mediocre status... The headphones, The headphone jack, the Micro SD slot, the IR blaster the charger, and now the square edges and a Bluetooth S-Pen, all gone... Without its features and differences it's becoming just another slab phone. Yeah, it's got an S-Pen but that may be gone in the next version because according to their data, only a few really use the pen...
Oh well it was nice while it lasted...
Friend come to the Motorola stylus series, we have all the note 9 toys like headphone jacks and 2tb expandable memory!! Plus Motorola listens on their social media so when we want something we spam them and they give it to us!
seriously considering the Vivo x200 pro now .. I use the s-pen bt for selfies & groupies all the time - favourite use case lay the phone flat on the floor / ground to take archetectural shots - step out of frame - click the pen a few times boom!
YO!! have you seen the Motorola stylus series?!?! It's essentially a grown up note 9 with everything the note 9 had PLUS a better camera AND 2TB expandable memory!! Only catch is they do the shutter activate with their little air tag but honestly... SO worth it!
For those wondering, there is a Samsung S-Pen with Bluetooth, costing $99, that was made three years ago. They aren't talking about it.
FYI: That's US$99, not AU$.
I guess being in samsung ecosystem I use my watch when taking pictures by tapping my fingers together. Been stop using my pen for that.
I used the pen to take photos from a distance, move photos between albums and to zoom in. But it's a shame that Samsung took this away.
The Motorola stylus series still has this functionality, just using their air tags! It's such a godsend- Motorola actually listens!
If they remove S Pen I'm moving on to another brand.
Hope they dont disable it on older models too.
I just ordered the Samsung S25 ultra, I'm going to cancel it now. They removed bluetooth S pen. Big Mistake. Nope
I also placed an order, unaware of the modification to the S Pen. Canceling right now!
I love the integrity here ❤🎉
Please samsung a lesson
@@naye0716 come to the moto stylus series!! We are on a glorified grown up note 9 equivalent right now- headphone jacks, 2TB expandable memory, same sensors... and if we spam their social media, we usually get what we want (aka kept the headphone jack AND got wireless charging). Guys, seriously, be my moto friend!! Let's boycott the company who actively hates us! If enough of us ask Motorola for Bluetooth connectivity for the stylus, they'll likely give it within 2 releases depending on engineering !
It feels as if I've gone right back to my Note 8 now. Samsung keeps taking features away. Hell, the Note 8 even had a built in pulse oximeter. Samsung is just copying Apple...if you buy the watch or the ring you get these features back. I remember when Samsung said they wouldn't pull the headphone jack. I'm disgusted with the changes. I'm keeping my Note 20 Ultra...again.
DUDE!! Motorola saw Samsung screwing up and is currently serving a glorified note 9!!! It has better camera, 2TB expandable memory, headphone jack, a million sensors... I could go on. The 1 thing that motorla does, is listen. We spammed them on social media for wireless charging and we got it!! If enough of us ask for the Bluetooth connectivity on the stylus, they will likely release it within 2 years depending on their engineering!
No, sorry Samsung!
OH AND ALL FOR UNDER $400.. IM SERIOUS.. come to Motorola!! WE HAVE HEADPHONE JACKS
It's an AI smartphone not a complete Smartphone... People want big battery and good camera not these AI functions
It's not an s-pen , it's just a built in stylus now. If the phone released at the same price as last year , why do i get all of my hardware upgraded EXCEPT A DOWNGRADE IN WHAT MAKES THE ULTRA AN ULTRA
The should capitalize and sell one separately as an accessory option
What if they didn't remove the feature 🤔 but they disabled it to see reactions from users? Then maybe release an update that enables it
What is they removed the battery from the s pen which means there is no Bluetooth hope? We have to see.
What about switching pencils in Samsung Notes? Is this feature removed? I use this all the time. I don't really care about the camera thing, but switching pencils is essential.
One of the reasons I bought the ss22 ultra
WHAT IF YOU CAN SWAP IT WITH THE S24 ULTRA PEN? WILL IT CONNECT???
People in the Internetz say, it doesn’t work. But it‘s not 100 percent certain yet.
there is no charger for the S24 pen in the S25 so you cannot sadly :-/ i was already looking for that option :-/
@@DesignPixelmaster imma switch to pixel tho
Thank god i bought an s24 ultra a few months ago,im a big time spen user to its extent
Im already feeling bad for s25 ultra users 😢
Friend, if you need to bail on Samsung come to Motorola stylus series- we are running basically the note 9 but with 2 TB expandable memory and better camera. They haven't figured out s pen Bluetooth connectivity yet, but if you asked them to, they most probably would add that!
The Bluetooth camera controll was the main thing I use, I will hold off until the S26 Ultra and hope they bring it back
Samsung: No one uses the s-pen features, while our AI features will be a smash hit... Remember, you can't spell AI with S-PEN (wait, actually you can)
Having more features than any one person needs is what Samsung's all about in my view! Sure there's lots of things you dont use for the most part, but when you need to do something, there's a fearure for that 😅
With regard to the loss of the bluetooth spen, i do use it as a super quick and easy remote shutter for family pics.
They made the vapor chamber bigger, this interfered with the charging of the spen. They removed it.
They should've kept it in the least for taking photos
Only feature I really used was the ability to take a photo with the stylus. I'll miss that.
but whats the point in removing it? the price of the phone still the same.
Wondering if Samsung Des will go the same way. Given that was not even mentioned in yesterday Samsung Unpacked.
i haven't seen anyone testing the older generation s pen with the s25 ultra yet. does the s24 ultra s pen fit inside the s25 ultra. does the s25 ultra remove the charging? can you still use the blue tooth features on the s25 ultra if you pair the s24 ultra s pen with it? will samsung be offering an optional s pen with blue tooth for people who do use it? all these questions should be answered by any thorough review imo.
