The first season of Glee made a really good job showcasing every single one of it's lead characters. Artie's S1 arc, along with Kurt's, has to be one of the saddest and most real, with him coming to terms with the fact he'll never be able to do the one thing he wants the most. This performance is one of the best and most melancholic the show ever did.
Sandra he got a lot of songs. Most where not solos he got some solos but most songs he sang part in where not solos he probably got the most duets and trios. And he sang parts in some group numbers.

what i think for this is that artie is scared that he may be losing tina to mike and their asian power and this number is kinda symbolizing that fear of losing someone he loves. (and yes, i do ship artina.)
If you rewatch season 1, Tina only calls Mike “other Asian”. She wasn’t close with him. Artie was sad in this episode (1x19) because his dream was too dance and Tina tried to help him so they could be dance partners but he couldn’t. He was jealous that she was able to dance and sad that he never would be able to

They just ripped of their accompaniment from The Mamas and The Papas, and they didn't even sing the bridge! Pretty performance, but left a bit to be desired for me.
This has to be the most unappreciated song in glee, and it makes me sad because this IS Artie’s best solo

I love Tina and Mike's tap routine! The only thing I don't like about this version is that the "still craving your kiss" part was cut out.
