You are living the dream!! A nightmare lol. Cory was smart. I see some Mimosas in the background and clover. They will be happy to find the fresh nectar. We had a big Sourwood flow this year but only caught maybe 8 supers because I didn’t get my wet supers put back on. Didn’t expect a big flow here in Virginia. Great to see you again!
@@Ashby_Farms_NC As dry as we have been I’m amazed how good the flows were. Yes to me I’m having a banner year 3rd year and 1500lbs so far with maybe 6 full boxes of sourwood to pull. I hope they keep you busy with the Sourwood!
Ha Ashby sometimes my bees eat me up just because I am there I do not have to move them. They just pen my jeans to my legs and tear my hands up Just because I open there top. It is not fun indeed. Hope you get honey for all your effort. Hope u have a blessed week
On one occasion after being in my hives, travelling home....I stopped my Jeep, got out, and in middle of the road removed my trousers. Worst thing was my wife was with me, she hasn’t and will not forget!
That seems like so much work moving hives! It gives you some appreciation what commercial keepers go through each year chasing the honey flows. Me? I'm good with my 3 months of nectar flow here on the coast of NC.
mine are pretty calm when moving in the evening but get really angry on morning moves. Dont know why the difference but I have quit doing morning moves for that reason.
Love the set up! Great video. Great channel. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
That last shot was pretty awesome to watch. Some very busy bees down there. Great video, shows the not so fun part of beekeeping. Lol.
Thanks! I thought I was a cool shot to include. Def not the fun side of beekeeping
I wax dipped all my new boxes following your video. Couldn't be happier.
Fantastic!!! Glad I could help!
