My ex husband has ms. We paid $500 a month just for him, and we had to pay an ENTIRE YEAR before coverage actually kicked in. We had to pay the “insurance” for a year and pay entirely out of pocket for his very expensive meds. His neurologist gave him a cash discount, but it was insanely expensive even with that. Obamacare was a blessing. $80 a month and he was covered immediately.
