This was a superb performance. There were still some of the weaknesses we know about (mistakes in the defense, lack of team cohesion at times in the attacking 3rd), but the team as a whole was superb. People worked their butts off, strategy was great, more players were stepping up, passion all over the field, solid passing out of the back. That was a solid team. And we had practically a full starting lineup injured!! We all have to take a lot of positive from this. This is a good team. They are young, need time to mature and learn, and will be a great team. Some players need some good individual coaching to fill holes and get them to maximize their strengths while minimizing their weaknesses. But we have to be positive for once from this performance and be excited about the next season, and even about the end of the season.
Poor officiating, the first goal was out of play and the var did not do anything about it, disasi goal disallowed that was no where a foul.😢
Kavkas I couldn't agree with u more on the grounds that chelsea winner should have been granted against villa... that foul was too soft... and soft for soft why didn't they give chelsea the penalty when cole palmer kicked the ball into grealishes hand in the penalty box in the previous game?... smh... bullocks

Tonights match just proves how corrupt the Premier League.........and there introduction of VAR is purely there to get the results it wants to keep the league competitive.

It's pathetic and will lead to the decline of the Premier League and the rise of the Europe Super League....the Premier league has always been the best league due to its unpredictability but now they have introduced VAR every game has a certain predictability!!
I for one will go back to my local non league team, at least I know that is not fixed as this Premier League is!! Not because my love for Chelsea is effected....its not, I'm Blue till I die!! But I really hate the Premier League and the power and corruptness it wields....
What the hell has football turned into ,all this VAR crap , hand ball being given and not given on some circumstances ( decided on angles ) . You can't even body someone ( push with shoulders ) within it getting scrutinised from every angle possible . Ruining the game .

This is a young squad and I hate to say it ,but IT IS a project even pep wouldn't be able to finish this squad higher than 5/6th . We need experienced players and a better coach in the summer and we can easily find top 4 next season. These players have shown passion and signs of improvement ( except for mudryk ,but I hope its just the pressure on him .)

Nice comeback but let's be honest why was Cucurela playing as a mid yet we have Casedei? Even Madueke really struggled to penetrate through the right wing.
The left wing was just dormant, for goodness sake had Mudryk lost his position by allowing Cucurela to play as a left wing instead of him.Fine, if that happens then automatically Mudryk needs to move back and defend in such instances but nothing happened.
Diego Morera,Angelo Gabriel, Harvey Vale, this are wingers we should've recalled utilised on the left wing. I was expecting Mudryk to torment the Villa defence but it wasn't happening.

If I'm being honest sometimes when I look at mudryk I feel like he doesn't want to be at Chelsea because he wanted Arsenal back then it's just like Chelsea and shaktar forced him against he's will that's how I see it when looking at him instead we dump Raphael leao whom I would have preferred than mudryk

Our players don't have spine. They too want a "Yes man" like Pochettino to look after them. Pochettino wanted to keep his job badly and he knows exactly what will work for him I.e. to win over the players and it seems his tactics works. Next season will be a very frustrating season with Pochettino.

Mudryk wasn't being played yo yess he was having a bad match but as soon as they played cucu in the middle they stopped switching the ball to Mudryk. If I was a player I would also be pissed and move kak cause they not playing me every time he did hold the ball you could see what he was trying to do just needs to work on his long shots whatever poch said to the players he was supposed to pull Mudryk to the side and motivate him a bit more to involve himself in the game cause he was causing problems wit cucu

Yes, Mudryk needs to 1) play defense, 2) learn how to develop an ounce of composure to do something useful at the end. He’s got great pace and great touch, but is unable to be composed at the end. Needs to beg Cold Palmer for lessons on it.

@@nubosite Probably. I still have a slight amount of hope that coaching and simply maturing at Chelsea could get him to a good level. But, well, he's showing no sign of that after 1 year, and it's possible he needs better individual coaching to get him to do those two basic things - play defense, and slow down at end of runs to make a calm play.
@@ZacharyShahanl think he needs individualized coaching to bring out the greatness in him. You can see the raw untapped talent ( speed, passes, shooting ability, use of both legs etc) waiting to be developed. Mudryk, in my view will eventually become an elite player.
@@titusenemuo312 I 100% agree with the first parts. As far as becoming an elite player, I think he has potential, but it's hard to say at this point. There's also a natural mentality and intelligence factor that could hinder him even if he has great individual coaching. You just have to instinctively know what to do at times, and it seems he often doesn't. It's just very hard to say at this point. But I think the potential is something that shouldn't be tossed away just yet. He's got too much pace & skill. I would give him another year with very focused, dedicated individual coaching. I'm not sure about the idea of loaning him out, because things could get better or worse with that and you don't have much control over it.
