This is my first time watching Netball. As a lifelong basketball fan, I came in thinking this would be a joke. But I watched the whole game, and left, surprisingly entertained. Netball just gained a fan.
As a jamaican i only know we play in school there i leave and came to the us at age 14 am 40 now and never knew they they play the sport out of the county but it a big thing in school's in 🇯🇲
I still don't know what was going on, but the girls looked cute in their little skirts. ...and, okay, it did look like competitive fun. I could watch more.
Did anyone else notice that in the last quarter, the Jamaicans scored several 6-point shots and the score board in the bottom left corner took like 10 minutes to update
@@samgillespie3859 You can't move a different foot than the one you didn't land on and you can pivot on the foot you landed on . You can't take the ball out of their hands and have to stand a meter away . Hope that helped a bit 🤧
Common wealth games 2022 brought me here to watch this awesome Jamaican side. They just beat Australian and are now into the finals. I hope they will win the gold medal this year.

Yes because Net Ball was the original game from way back in history and basket ball stole all the rules and every thing from this game and call it basket ball. It is unjust net ball needs to be in Olympic. Olympics please see this note please net ball 2020

The name was changed to Net ball between 1897 and 1900 when the rules were codified.
We had teams amongst the Caribbean's in the Tri-State USA. Men hanging around would play with us when we were short sided. We used 7aside then. The poor guys had a hard time because they could not move once in possession of the ball nor could they dribble!😂
Why Jamaica team don't try to used the short passes more time, and used some under arm passes.Because the south Africans are very tall, so you don't continues playing too much air balls.

In Australia it is a professional sport. In New Zealand and UK it is also at a high standard and is professional but not well paid.
