In Fnaf 2, on the phone the guy said that the kids in the daytime would tear apart the animatronics because the kids those days would never keep there hands to themselves. So the workers just stopped fixing them after every shift when it happens; that’s what I think; it mainly happened to foxy (I think)

The theory that I believe is that it’s a safety protocol, because she lodged it in someone’s head before, or just because somebody was attacked by the animatronics, and they do it so that they can’t kill security guards as easily. My head canon is that she purposefully takes it off and sets it down on stage to intimidate the night guard or anyone she deems a “criminal” to let them know that she will find and kill whoever she is hunting.
If she logged it into our forehead we wouldn’t still be looking out for the animatornics so she must of taken it off bringing it with her to the office to lodged it into our forehead
Twisted Animatronic (a RUclipsr I watch often) has come up with the theory that as per safety protocol - based on that line about her beak being lodged in someone's forehead - her beak probably falls off when she leaves the stage to prevent her from lodging it into other people's foreheads. His video on it has a lot more details and way better explanation, and I 100% recommend checking it out, but it's a pretty interesting theory with good points to back it up.

"What is seen in the shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child'" explains the Shadows being CC afraid of the shadows cast on the wall. "Why would the tiny Toy Chica be missing her beak?" Explains CC dreaming it all. We know for a fact though, that FNAF 1-4 wasn't a dream. But why did Scott make these posts if they're misleading? Well, I think Scott planned to end the series at FNAF 4, but changed his mind, and completely remade the story. In SL, we see that FNAF 4 actually happened, which is a huge change. So I believe Scott originally intended on the dream theory which would explain Toy Chica's beak missing, but then reconsidered and didn't bother to change anything else because it's a minor change.
